Welcome to Casa de Familia on Beautiful South Padre Island (SPI)!

Our first floor, family-friendly (and small dog welcome too!) open floor plan, 2 bedroom/2 bath condo WELCOMES YOU to SPI with a large comfy family style great room! There is a roomy sectional with pull-out sofa bed, a breakfast bar w/stools and dinette area that completes this large room. All the comforts of your home are here: TV w/ cable & Netflix, Fully furnished kitchen with a few necessities for preparing a few meals at home. Games & puzzles for the kids. Full size Washer/ Dryer also available for your use.
First bedroom provides a comfortable queen bed w/ full bathroom across the hall. Second bedroom is a cushion top King bed w/ attached en-suite bath. Large closet space in both bedrooms. Shower w/step in tubs in both baths with all towels provided.
Private secluded pool/deck area for swimming, entertaining and/or an evening dinner outside under the Texas stars! Private pool area has large round tables w/ chairs and 2 lounge chairs for sunning... even in the winter months! The solid privacy wall provides shelter from the wind for a warm relaxing time. We are part of a small condo four-plex and share the pool area, so pool furniture is shared and pool hours are posted and must be observed by all guests. Two private parking spaces provided to easily unload your luggage and walk into the condo.
We are a short 2 1/2 block walk to the most beautiful Texas beaches you will ever see! From the end of our driveway you can also watch the incredible SPI Sunsets or enjoy the fireworks (Memorial Day thru Labor Day every weekend and New Years Eve) in the distance over the bay! Your home away from home is on a quiet street, but close enough to everything you may need (Blue Marlin- local grocery store, Dollar General, local bars and few restaurants) and a short 3 min. cab ride to the entertainment district.
We have beach towels, beach chairs, a wheeled cooler and beach buggy for all your beach needs...even some beach toys for the kids!
We live locally and can recommend many restaurants/ bars and many local attractions (Dolphin Watch, Sea Turtles, Alligator Sanctuary , Birding/ Nature Center, Waterpark, Gulf or Bay Fishing Trips, Snorkeling Trips, Bike rentals, Pirates Boat, Catamaran Dinner Cruises, Horseback Riding/ Adventure Park, Ferris Wheel, Gravity Park rides, Golf Cart/ Beach Jeep rentals, Miniture Golf, Karaoke Bar, SPI Golf Course, SPI Skydiving, Kite Flying shop, Souvenir and Boutique Shopping and Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownville...just to name a few!) to help you make your family or couples vacation customized to meet your needs. With issues but clean
We were so excited to get to the condo so we could enjoy our short vacation. Everything seemed good and clean until we saw the pool and AC began with issues. Pool pump had been out of order and was installed day we arrived but pool was dirty and pump was not turned on. AC began "acting up". Temp was set for 73° but it was marking 76-78 ° inside. Sad to say, AC was getting repaired day we left.

I’m sorry that these unfortunate situations occurred during your stay. The pool pump went out two days before your arrival and was installed the day you arrived. They cleaned the pool the next morning. I communicated the pool situation to you and handled it as quickly as we could.
The AC was working fine before you’re arrival and I reacted as quickly as I could to have my handyman come check it when you notified me of the problem. He was able to fix it that day but Unfortunately it didn’t completely fix the issue and you contacted me the next day (Sunday) My handyman came again on Sunday and said the compressor needed to be replaced. I contacted my AC company but they could not do repairs until Monday morning. I communicated all of this to you. The AC company replaced the compressor this morning after your departure.
Unfortunately both issues were unforeseen and I apologized for the situations. I even offered to put you and your family up in a hotel the last night due to the AC situation but you didn’t reply back to me. I understand your disappointment, but I did everything I could to make your stay enjoyable.
Your dogs chewed on two different wood mini blinds over my sofas that are now ruined and now need to be replaced.

Great weekend getaway!
Had a fairly easy time finding the address and settling in to the condo. Located nearby several restaurants and convenience stores. Restrooms were stocked with towels and a few travel hygiene necessities. Owners even left us some eggs, bacon, biscuits and beer in the fridge. Overall great experience, and they are pet friendly, so I’m sure our dogs enjoyed the stay as well.
