This cozy, spacious conveniently located suite is less than 2 blocks from downtown Franklin main street! It has its own private entrance and is nestled back in a beautiful carriage house just off the gorgeous 4th avenue. You can stroll to your favorite stores and restaurants within minutes or take a bike ride around this adorable town. The properties quaint entrance is well lit with a small courtyard and firepit. This 2 bedroom retreat sleeps 4. ( King bed in main and Queen sleeper sofa lower level)

Swordfish Suite was the perfect spot to stay to explore Franklin downtown and local historic venues. We loved the suite as it was private with plenty of space for my husband and I to enjoy some down time. The owners were very friendly and accommodating.

Swordfish Suite is awesome!

If you’re looking for an awesome cozy suite that is located on the best street in historic Franklin then the Swordfish Suite is for you. It’s impeccably clean and very tastefully decorated. Mike and Abby are super friendly and the most gracious hosts. They’ve supplied their suite with everything one would need. We’ve stayed at the Swordfish Suite twice now and are looking forward to more visits in the future.

Beautiful place that is close to everything!

We stayed 2 nights on our road trip. The place was so cute, in a beautiful and safe neighborhood that was walking distance to everything we were interested in. The place was decorated beautifully and well stocked. We had a great time.

Visiting family in Franklin

Having private laundry facilities was a great amenity. Some of the surfaces hadn’t been completely wiped down (crumbs on kitchen table and counter), but that was a minimal issue. Would definitely stay again.

Franklin stay

This property is super cute and despite being a suite over the garage of the primary residence. It still felt private. The property is super cozy and covers all the basic needs. There were some small hiccups with blankets and towels but nothing that couldn’t be solved with the washer and dryer in property.

Beautiful Space & Great Location

We absolutely loved our stay in the Swordfish Suite! Mike and Abby are amazing hosts—they truly go above and beyond. You can tell that every little detail was thought through when putting together this suite, from the decor to the amenities. Right in the heart of downtown Franklin (the cutest town!), it’s walking distance from lots of restaurants and shops. We highly recommend and hope to stay on the property again soon!

Beautiful property!

Beautiful location, everything was clean dnd it was very cozy. The hosts thought of everything, and being two blocks off Main Street was fantastic. We will definitely try to rent this property again in the future!

Everything we expected and more.

The location was ideal. We were able to just walk a couple of blocks to get to downtown Franklin. The property we stayed at was exactly as advertised and our hosts, Mike and Abby, were two of the nicest people you will ever meet. Everything went exceptionally well, and we plan on returning to the area very soon.

husband had Board meeting + spending time with daughter in Nashville

This was truly the best location. My husband had a board meeting and I worked remotely and we hung out with our daughter who lives in Nashville area after we all got out of work. My husband needed a car to drive to his meetings and I was in walking distances to restaurants for breakfast and lunch. the apartment was the perfect size and the separate living room on the main floor was the perfect place to hold virtual meetings! I would highly recommend this location to anyone!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mike and Abby’s Swordfish Suite. Mike and Abby are so kind, thoughtful, generous, caring, etc……simply the best VRBO owners we’ve experienced by far. The suite was absolutely perfect for us. It was very clean, super cozy, comfortable king size bed and wonderfully furnished. Set in one of the most beautiful areas of Franklin, the location is second to none. Can’t wait to return!

The title says it all! It is a fabulous studio! Clean, private & plenty of space. It is just a stroll to downtown Franklin. We enjoyed our stay and if we are in the area again, we will book this spot again.

Weekend getaway

We are VRBO regulars and this by far was one of the best stays we’ve had. Abby and Mike were beyond gracious with their time and knowledge of Franklin. They have a beautiful place on their property that was literally 2 blocks from downtown Franklin. We have already told all of our friends about it and hope to stay there again in the future. Amazing location and gorgeous space

We loved the studio apartment! It was so clean and had everything we needed. The owners took great time spending attention on the details. It felt cozy, but there was lots of room to spread out. It was also really great to be so close to Main Street. We could easily walk to restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back! 💗💗💗

Perfect!!!

We enjoyed our stay so much and wish there were more than 5 stars to give. The owner was extremely accommodating and sent several suggestions for activities and resturants. The home was absolutely perfect, clean, and wonderfully decorated. Anything and everything you may need, they had! There were storms while we were there and the owner checked in with us to make sure we were aware and what to do in case of an emergency. We were greatful for that! I just can't say enough, so I would highly recommend if in the area.

Welcome to 246 4th Avenue South in Downtown Franklin, Tennessee.
Mike and I feel so fortunate to live in the beautiful neighborhood and especially on this incredibly special street so close to Main Street Franklin. We hope you enjoy the area as much as we do.

A little history on us: We grew up in Moline, Illinois and have moved a lot during our 26 years of marriage. Starting our married life together in St. Louis Missouri, we then went on to Wauwatosa, Wisconsin where we had our first 2 daughters born. After that quick stop in Wisconsin which was just long enough to have 2 babies and become Packers Fans, we then headed out to Southern California (Stevenson Ranch, CA) – 9 months later we had our 3rd Daughter Elise. We had a wonderful 8 years in sunny CA then headed to Mooresville NC (Lake Norman/ Charlotte NC area) and we were there for almost 13 years!
Believe it or not we have only lived in the beautiful Historic Home since August 19, 2018. Because it is a Historic Home, we look at our current situation living here as “Grounds keepers” of a beautiful piece of history. We will do our best to keep it in tip top shape and hopefully even make some improvements.

Upon purchase of the property, we aspired to build out the 2nd floor of the Garage as a special place that we could share with guests and family. We completed this project November 2020! (It is one of the BEST things for us that came out of 2020)

Lastly, you may wonder why we call it THE SWORDFISH SUITE?
It is NOT because we are deep sea fisherman and we do not have a Pet Swordfish!

This property is located in a beautiful Carriage House directly behind our Historic Home Downtown Franklin. We are on a Prime street with beautiful historic homes and just 2 blocks from the Main Street. Its so fun to stroll downtown to just look around, browse the amazing unique boutiques or grab a bite to eat. All year long there is fun action in downtown Franklin!!
