Update 12/31/25: Cozy Cottage has been fully renovated (again) post the 2024 hurricane flooding, and is available for booking! Interior photos have been updated. The heated/cooled pool is open. Please reach out and send us a message if you have any questions.

Welcome to Gulf Gardens' newly renovated Cozy Cottage! A 1-minute walk right across Gulf Blvd to the beach! Take a dip in our large heated/cooled pool or relax and enjoy the sun poolside in one of the many lounge chairs. BBQ grills are available under a shaded cabana with a picnic table for outdoor dining. Slightly less than a mile to John's Pass Village. Airports, Busch Gardens, d/t St. Pete, Tampa nightlife, are all a within a short drive. There is onsite, free parking for guests.

Cozy Cottage is efficiency-sized but comes equipped with a full-sized fridge, microwave, air fryer/toaster, portable 2-burner cooktop, as well as plates, silverware, pots and pans, and all the basic kitchen necessities. The space is fully furnished and comes with queen bed that has a highly rated foam-based mattress. The bath has a brand new full-sized shower. Storage is plentiful. Central heat and air distributes the AC evenly throughout the space. Vaulted ceilings and ample lighting make this cottage feel big! Games and books are available for rainy days. Take a dip in our heated and cooled pool! Coin-operated laundry is available.

Our cottage was recently renovated as a result of 2024 hurricane flooding with new floors, paint, cabinets, vanity, furniture, mattress, kitchen essentials, appliances, blinds, electric, TV, and amenities. Basically, EVERYTHING is new!

Please note that we have a 2-person maximum including children as there is only one queen bed. If it is discovered more than two persons are staying in the unit, the guest is subject to a fine of $250, and the host/co-host has the right to cancel the reservation with no refund given. Please note that we have a Ring camera at the front door for the safety of guests and owners. Please note that this a no smoking/no vaping/no pets condo complex.

Jason and his guest brought a dog into the unit, a clear violation of our rules prohibiting any animals in the condo or on condo grounds, as stated in the initial email after booking and in the House Manual. He/his guest covered the Ring camera several times to let the dog in and out, except for one time. Video evidence was presented to VRBO of a dog exiting the unit with Jason. Jason claimed the dog was an emotional support animal, which has no ADA service dog protections. Jason did not ask for permission for a dog prior to his stay. While Jason admitted having a dog after questioning, he refused to pay the $250 fine, which was stated in the House Manual. We would not rent to Jason again, and would not recommend him to any other host.

Clean and comfy and right across the street from the beach and Caddys beachside bar. John’s pass is just less than a mile walk, or you can catch the shuttle. Plenty of restaurants, shops and pubs! Bamboo tiki bar has live music every day :)

Great small apaertment for 2 people! Spotlessly clean and a great pool steps from the front door. Easy walk across the street to the beach where you can walk for miles! Easy commute to restaurants by using tje beach trolly, or walk to Johns Pass for shopping

The cottage is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Everything really needed for your stay is thoughtfully supplied. The hosts were available for questions we had when we first arrived. We highly recommend this property and would stay there again if we planned another trip to Madeira Beach!

This cottage is the perfect size for two people and in a perfect location for us. It's clean, newly remodeled, very cute, and the owner and management were great at communication. We didn't cook or use the pool, but it seemed to have everything we would need if we were to do so. The owner did need to enter the cottage because of a leak in the ceiling due to something with the AC unit, but they were very respectful, let us know what was going on, and asked before entering. It was an unplanned situation that had to be taken care of and they took care of it right away. We were not looking for a commercialized vacation with a huge crowd. The cottage is a simple walk across the street to the beach and to a local restaurant/bar. The downstairs bar is right on the beach, where you can relax, watch the waves, and feel the breeze coming in from the ocean. We did not bring a car, but did not need one. If we wanted to go to other bars, restaurants, or shopping, everything was within walking distance. We did discover, walking to John's Pass was much nicer and cooler on the beach rather than on the sidewalk. One night we wanted to venture down the beach and didn't feel like walking. We were able to take the free beach ride service that works on tips only. Ask your bartender or server for details. We could have used it in lieu of walking the whole trip, had we chosen to. This is a great place and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Fantastic beach cottage

This is the perfect beach cottage. I’ve stayed here 5 or 6 times, and it’s perfect every time. The location is fantastic right across gulf Blvd to the beach, always super clean, pool is great, nothing to complain about. We always stay here when we come to the beach.

Great location

The property was amazing! Right across the street from the beach with public access. The unit had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend! Also walkable to a few restaurants!

I'm a Tampa Bay native, and renovated my c. 1925 Craftsman Bungalow that I have owned since 1995 in Hyde Park, S. Tampa. During this time I lived in my detached 2br/1ba garage cottage. I'm back in my house and I have rented this cottage since 2019.

After devastating hurricane flooding in September 2024, my second renovation of Cozy Cottage is complete as of December 2025, and I'm happy to welcome back guests into this cozy space across from the beach that I have owned since October 2020.

Having retired from the corporate world in August 2024, "see the world" and "collect experiences over things" are my mottos!
