This property was a great location on the lake. The beach access and property amenities, such as the kayaks and chairs were ideal. The house doesn’t have AC at this point so we did have struggles on this hot week of weather and smoke from Canada, but the house itself was better laid out and comfortable than the pictures had shown.

We loved this house!! It was even more beautiful than the photos, and had everything we needed for 8 people for a week's stay. The beach access was amazing, and we were just a short drive from everything Mackinaw City has to offer. We are already planning to book this house again next year. The owners were also very responsive during our stay.

Great property

This is a great property on the beach. We loved how close it was to everything but secluded at the same time. House was much bigger than we expected from the pictures and the beach was wonderful.

Wonderful house! Big and beautiful. Lake Michigan is your front yard with freighters and lots of different birds to watch. Swimming was even enjoyed by some! Very close to the Mighty Mac and Mackinaw city for shopping eating and fudge!

Only thing I wooly suggest is to have the house power washed…a lot of spiders and webs

Love this place perfect for our family. A lot to do in the area. Great beach. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place

Lovely Vacation

This is a beautiful property with lots of room for family and friends. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. The beach is lovely and the sunsets are stunning. Close to the Dark Sky Park and a short ride to Mackinaw City

A perfect beach just outside the door

This spacious and comfortable house has a back porch letting out on a beach perfect for swimming, with several sand bars and wonderfully clear water. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, on the road to Wilderness State Park, with very dark skies for stargazing or the northern lights.

Wonderful vacation experience

Pristine cottage was even bigger and better than anticipated for our family of 8. Beach with no rocks or seaweed - just smooth sand made swimming a joy anytime of the day. Beautiful, uninterrupted sunsets was the perfect way to end the day. Highly recommend!

Perfect Location

Great location and plenty of space for a large family. Pictures do not do this house and it's beach justice on how it's layed out. It's a easily 100 times nicer then the pictures on the listing suggest. Great location to jump off from and explore the area. Highly recommend checking out the Headlands Darkness Park right down the road.

A wonderful week

We were three generations staying. Plenty of room and things to do for everyone. The teenagers were quick to get their swimsuits on and jump into the lake. The kitchen is large enough for me many cooks.

Relaxing Retreat

The house has an excellent layout that allowed a trip of four couples to enjoy their own space while gathering in the large kitchen, sitting area and tv room. The outdoor decks (two levels) provided for excellent views of the lake and gorgeous sunsets. We enjoyed many nights around the fire on the beach. The location is close to many restaurants in Mackinaw City if you don't feel like cooking, but the kitchen is fully equipped.

Great Lake Michigan Getaway.

Beautiful lakefront home that is well kept. The sunsets were amazing. Beach was really nice could walk out long way before it was deep. Kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, etc. for cooking, grill worked great. The three kayaks were a great addition, my kids (ages 16-22) and I enjoyed kayaking on the bay. Great communication from the owner. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful, spacious home

We (8 pensioners) were late in the season so didn't get to enjoy all the benefits of being right on the water. But the facilities suited us just fine. Lots of room and a nice deck to sit and watch the beautiful sunsets. Well appointed and very nicely decorated.

Enjoyable and great location.

Right on the beach and minutes from town. Great sunsets. It was easy to drive to the Mackinaw Bridge, Mackinaw City and all area attractions. Kayaks are available to use and the kitchen has most everything. Plenty of bathrooms and space for a family of 4. Beach was sand and spacious. We were barefoot most of the time. Water is shallow and there are several sandbars. Great for kids.

Absolutely wonderful vacation experience! The house is extremely clean and well stocked with everything you need. The view of the lake is so beautiful and can be appreciated all across the front of the house (photos hardly do it justice, it is so gorgeous!) There is a wonderful sandy beach in front of the house that is very clean and easy to walk across and the sunsets are dazzling! Were absolutely beautiful, snd pictures really dont do the house or view justice..The owner was extremely helpful and easy to work with. She was very nice and accommodating. We would love to come back some day.

Beautiful Home!

The house was very comfortable and very roomy! We were able to enjoy the water, which was very clear! At night we had camp fires on the beach and the nice breeze off the lake made the evenings very enjoyable. The house had everything you would need plus more and the pictures really didn't show just how nice it really is. The beds were comfortable, the location is wonderful and we really enjoyed the living room off to the side for TV to watch Phelps win more Gold! Everyone there loved the home and I would go back!

Loved every aspect of our vacation.

The property was as stated, and more. The pictures do not do it justice. The house was very clean and orderly. The sandy beach was perfect for all of us, from our 5 year old granddaughter to the grandparents. The water, warm and clear. There were nine of us staying the week. We still had plenty of room. I hope to be back.

The lake and home were both amazing and we were blessed with great weather.

The photos don't do justice to the inside of the home. The fine details and ambience were appreciated. We enjoyed watching the freighters through the telescope and binoculars. Also the books were a nice surprise. Made reading night fun for the kiddos. Neighbors were nice as well. A good time had by all. I would highly recommend. Thank you for having us!! The McMahon clan.

Great sandy and safe beach

The lake water is beautiful. Sandy beach and shallow for quite a ways out. Perfect for our toddler. The teens enjoyed going out further. Some days the water was glassy smooth, other day 3-4 foot waves. Nice. The house is great with all the bedrooms and bathrooms. However, the master bed has an annoying squeak. Happy for the WiFi this year. This was our fourth maybe fifth year coming here. Hopefully we can do it again next year.

PERFECT for our family!

We had a mixture of adults (5) and small children (5). This house suited our needs perfectly. The beach and water were far enough away for safety, but close enough for convenience. Plus, the water was waist deep (to an adult) for a very long ways. The kayaks were a great treat too! The flat yard close to the house was a bonus for kicking the balls around or playing a game of tag. The adults enjoyed the balcony, porch, and picnic table while the kids ran around. The sunsets were also AMAZING, a great way to end a perfect day. If your family enjoys cooking like mine, this kitchen was PERFECT! Great stove and big refrigerator. The open layout was great for family conversations and the "TV room" was a cozy place to cuddle up and watch a movie. During our vacation, we were able to visit Mackinaw Island, Tahquemenon falls, Fort Michilimackinac, and Sault Ste Marie. HIGHLY recommend this house!!

Great Mackinaw/UP location

This was our 1st trip to MI. We wanted an area that's close to both Mackinaw City and the UP to do daily trips seeing both locations. This was absolutely perfect! The location and house could not be better! There were 6 adults. The house was very spacious and well equiped with anything we needed. The pictures do not do it justice. The views are amazing! We'd come back from a long day out and loved playing Tam's board games, puzzles and cards. The kayaks were a hit and a great way to enjoy the beautiful lake right in the back yard. We had a fun-filled week hiking in various parks in both Mackinaw and the UP, fishing, shopping, dining, Soo Locks (highly recommend the boat tour), Mackinac Island, Lumberjack show, Wildlife Park, Dark Sky Park, Ice Breaker boat, wineries, St. Ignace, Saulte Ste. Marie, Arch Rock, Escape room, and much more. Our early June trip was mostly cloudy, cool and some rain. The midgees were there in full force. We'd definitely return and stay again at Tam's again. Next time we'll plan on July or August. Thank you Tam for a great week and lots of precious memories!

We had a wonderful time on our trip to Mackinaw City, The house was as advertised, right on Lake Michigan with plenty of room for 8 people, plenty of outdoor chairs, a couple of Kayaks which we used. We enjoyed making S'mores on the beach and took plenty of sunset pictures. The house is located conveniently near the main part of town where you can take a ferry to Mackinac Island or go a few miles down the street for golf. Plenty to do in this area. Tamara was a great host and had quick responses to our questions about the area.
