'Our Point of View' er placeret i Saunders Point kvarter ved Smith Mountain Lake, nær SML Dam - bøje markør C2. Det ligger i en stor bugt, hvor du kan nyde jetski og vandski uden at komme ind i den nærliggende hovedkrop af søen.

Du kan slappe af med en kop morgen kaffe, mens du nyder den fulde udsigt over søen og Smith Mountain. Og du kan gøre dette, mens du sidder i det dejlige, rummelige køkken eller på det komfortable fordæk - eller slapper af nær vandet på det store dæk.

Den meget blide hældning i den store baghaven fører til det store dæk, hvor alle kan nyde sol og vand. Der er et overdækket dæk, der tillader en vis skygge fra middagssolen.

Huset har fire soveværelser - med to dronningssenge i stueetagen, to tvillinger på loftet og en fuld seng i et kælderværelse. Køkkenet er rent og effektivt, har alle de apparater, du har brug for, og masser af opbevaring i skabe.

Spillelokalet med bordfodbold og bordtennisbord i kælderen er perfekt til børnene på de sjældne regnfulde dage.

Smith Mountain Lake fiskeri er spektakulært - med rekordfangster hvert år. For golfentusiaster er der flere udfordrende lokale golfbaner.

Lake Vacation

The family had a great visit at this wonderful location. The swimming was great. The house was clean and very nice.

Family get together

The house was great for our family gathering of 8. The view was wonderful and the cove was perfect for swimming off of. Close to marinas if you want to rent a boat.

perfect place

house small but big, good lay out nice deck, had pontoon boat and jet ski plenty of room to dock, boat ramp close by. fished and swam hopefully we can make it back again soon.

Love this place!

Our family enjoys this property every summer and it’s a week we all look forward to. The house has spectacular views, awesome dock, spacious kitchen, comfortable beds, excellent laundry facilities. Perfectly relaxing!

Perfect laid back week !!

We kayak'd and paddle boarded, swam off the dock and admired the wildlife. Smith Mtn Lake Park is just down the road so we visited there twice for some scenic hiking. Highy recommend this property!

Property is in a great location on a beautiful and calm part of the lake. The house isn't huge but is laid out well and worked great for our two families. The stairs downstairs (where the 2nd bathroom is located) are a bit tricky. We had an issue with an odor in the house when we first arrived but the owners were very responsive and able to resolve it.

A nice property with an excellent view and dock for boating and swimming. The only thing to note for families with children under 3 is the banisters on the loft and deck are not child proof vertical banisters, but horizontal ones. Unsupervised children could easily fall through.

Perfect yearly family vacation

This house never disappoints! The view is stunning, the house has a fantastic layout and there are plenty of extras—like zero-gravity chairs. We always rent boats and there’s plenty of room on the dock. Perfect!

Great House in a Great Location

As other reviewers have mentioned, the pictures don’t quite convey how spacious this house is. Our group of two families (four adults and four kids) had plenty of room. The location and the dock were perfect for us. Unbeatable views and a great area of the lake. Excellent dock with plenty of room for all our toys, including the ski boat and fishing boat we brought with us, plus the pontoon boat we rented. This is a great spot for your vacation!

The location and view is spectacular. The house is very clean and fit our family nicely. The loft with the two beds was great for my young kids and the two bedrooms on the main floor were good but they are right next to each other so you don’t have a ton of privacy. One thing to note is that sheets and towels are not provided. We found out when we got there that it is indicated in the amenities list, but I never saw it anywhere in the listing when I booked or leading up to the stay. So I’m putting it here for folks so that hopefully you don’t have the same issues we did. All in a great stay!

Quaint & Comfortable- Wonderful waterfront!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It's a very quaint home with small rooms, but we don't vacation at the lake to be indoors! The waterfront and lawn area was fantastic. We spent every minute we could outside. There's fabulous shade with the beautiful trees and a the deck was perfect for our family and friends. We only had a few issues with the internet, the tv sound not working and requiring troubleshooting a handful of times, and the kayaks not being readily available for us. But the owners rectified it. Overall, great stay.

Relax at SML

Great property. Good internet. Hosts were easy to contact. View is spectacular. Dock was very nice. A bit out of the way but that’s our preference. A Keurig would be a good addition. Read the notebook in the great room. It will answer a lot of questions you may have. I’m ashamed to say we didn’t. LOL

Breathtaking view!

When we pulled into the driveway, we were greeted by a colorful bed of flowers and a breathtaking view of the lake and Smith Mountain! The house was clean and efficient, including the basement, and met all our needs. The back deck was was the perfect spot for morning coffee and the dock area was also spacious with a covered section to avoid the sun if desired. We rented both a boat and jet ski for the week, and there was plenty of room to dock them. The house is situated in a cove with calmer water, and perfect for using the owner's kayak. This has to be one of the best lots on the lake with an incredible view; we loved being able to see Smith Mountain and the water from both inside and outside of the house.

Perfect family vacation

Wow, perfection! We will definitely rebook. With relatives in another house, we in total had 21 people aged 9 mo to 89. This house ended up becoming THE spot for everything. The dock was fantastic, laundry on site awesome, basement perfect for our teenagers, main living space VERY functional. The location was perfect and owners were super helpful. We even ended up taking beautiful family photos there, since the grounds were so lovely.

Amazing view

The view from the family room and deck is priceless. Adults and kids had a great time at the dock and in the water. There were plenty of life vests for kids and adults.

Beautiful Views

The house was nice and had some gorgeous views. Our first day Saturday we enjoyed a band on the other side of cove. Nice concert while taking in the views from the beautiful deck and dock. Walking between the dock and house was easy and loved sitting on the dock. Plenty room for us to dock a boat and 3 jet skis.

Great SML rental!

Clean, spacious home with everything you need for a lake getaway. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials needed for cooking. The dock accommodated my husbands boat and was a great place to hang out and enjoy SML. The owners were very nice and quick to answer any questions we had about our stay. I would recommend this vacation rental to others.

Perfect family lake house with gorgeous views

We had 8 adults and a baby stay at this house over 4th of July weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect. Our favorite parts were jumping off the spacious dock into the cool lake water every day, floating around the dock and staring at the amazing mountain view, and sitting on the beautiful large deck of the house. Inside, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the renovations to the upstairs bath and entire basement were perfect. Most of the family in attendance grew up vacationing at lakes in upstate NY, which are gorgeous - so expectations were high. This house exceeded them - we are already talking about next year!!

Are we in the right place?

My sister arrived at the house first and sent a text that said "It's so nice that I'm afraid I'm in the wrong house." When I arrived, I saw what she meant. Despite pouring over the website and being familiar with the property (we stayed nearby for the last 10 summers), I was stunned at the beautiful (but remarkably comfortable) house. The pictures are certainly accurate but are nowhere near as awesome as the real thing. We spent the majority of the week on the deck or the dock, but the house had plenty of room for our crew - particularly the well-stocked kitchen for the foodies among us. The owners were friendly, accomodating, and exceptionally easy to work with. I have stayed in another house in this cove yearly, so we already knew the cove, the view, and area of the lake were PERFECT for our adventures. However, we were anxious picking a new place and I was worried we wouldn't be able to overcome our nostalgia for the old place... I couldn't be more wrong. Everyone agreed this is the new place for us! We hopped over to Mitchell's Marina to pick up our boat rental, caught BIG catfish and carp from the dock, kayaked out to the point and stood on the shoal, dove for "seashells" under the dock, played corn hole on the flat-ish lot (a rare find in the area), visited the local marinas, and left all our problems at the top of the driveway. This truly is an EXCEPTIONAL house that is clearly cared for by its owners. Highly recommended -- except for the the week that I want it next year. ;)

Best Family Vacation to Date!

We just came back from the BEST vacation we've had as an extended family. I booked a stay for 5 adults and 3 kids (boys - 5, 7 and 10) to stay at the lake for a week. The kids were so busy fishing and swimming all day long that they almost never asked to watch a show or play a video game all week. The setup of the property is such that the adults could relax in the water or on the dock and still keep the little people in sight. Everyone thoroughly relaxed for 7 days -- it was great! I think you would be hard pressed to find a better dock setup and lake views than this house. There are plenty of chairs to enjoy the deck and dock; I recommend bringing some swimming toys and floats. The cove is super calm; floats work great! We also rented a boat from a nearby marina for 2 of the 7 days. It was a nice way to break up the week. Finally, the owners of the property were quick to reply to any questions I had. This was my first experience using VRBO.com, and I will most certainly be back!

Well Done

This place is well thought out and well made making it a very lovely place to stay. We took a family vacation here with our grown up children. The common areas were spacious and the living/family room looks out onto the lake without the sun streaming into the house (they angled the windows well--very clever). This room opened up to the best deck we've ever experienced. You could be in the shade or the sun. The step, as you can see in the picture, can serve as a seating area. It just merges into the grassy area which leads to the lake. Very beautiful. We're swimmers and appreciated that this property is on a quiet cove, but plenty deep enough to swim. They had a good AC, which didn't really need except in the late afternoon. The place is well made.We found the bedrooms quiet and private and the beds were comfortable. The place was very clean. In fact, it's the cleanest place we've ever rented. We typically rent up in Maine for the summer. This is the first time we rented a home in Virginia. We thought the price was reasonable.

Huddleston Lake Home

The house is located near the dam side of the lake, which is my favorite part of the lake. It is a well maintained place with good accommodations. The clothes washing machine, however, was not available which is no big deal if you know it ahead of time. I would highly recommend this place for future visitors.
