This was a fantastic place to stay for a month on the North Shore. Everything was nearby - Sunset Beach, Pipeline, Haleiwa, Turtle Bay. You name it, it's all right there. The host was great and responsive, and the property was very nice. The back porch and back yard were a bonus and it's just steps from the beach. Highly recommend.

Yes, air-conditioning worked well. House was clean and well stocked with supplies. No direct beach view but only 200 ft access to wonderful public beach.Pat (host) is wonderful to work with...excellent stay!!

Sunset Beach Cottage

Cottage was super cute and Sunset Beach was really close. So convenient and beautiful. Loved eating breakfast on the back deck while watching the birds.

Perfect once again

The North Shore is our families favorite vacation destination and once again the Jewel of Sunset Point was perfect. This home is well appointed with all the amenities you would need to enjoy the beach which is just a few feet away. Our teenaged children were happy with everything and the back yard is a wonderful space to play in as well. Thank you Stephen for another great vacation rental for us to enjoy for a week.

The PERFECT getaway!!!

We LOVED this house! My husband and our 9 month old baby boy spent a week at this lovely home and really enjoyed it! It was so nice to be just steps to the world famous Sunset Beach (literally!) and have home so close by! My husband had the choice of numerous phenemonal surf breaks. It is beautifully remodeled and has a great large front lanai which is perfect for relaxing and watching all the beach-goers walk by! We plan to revisit again and again!

“Jewel” is an understatement!

Pat and Stephen’s bungalow is such a delightful, kind space in a most wonderful location. The pictures don’t do it justice because they can’t convey the Aloha atmosphere that permeates the neighborhood, or the friendly local culture that surrounds it. We left with deep gratitude for being allowed to stay here for our month-long vacation. It was genuinely sublime: never too hot, never too windy, never too far to watch the early dawn waves, or the spectacular sunset. Stay here if you can!! You won’t regret it.

A real gem on Sunset Beach!

This home was the perfect location for our spring break get a way! Our boys, 12 and 14 couldn’t get enough of boogie boarding, surfing near Haleiwa, and jumping in the waves! Our youngest even was lucky enough to celebrate his 12th birthday here in paradise! The home is clean, well stocked, and SO close to the beautiful beach! We are every meal on the sand! It’s embarrassing that we didn’t relax more on the beautiful lanai at the home, but the beach was so inviting! Locals were kind and friendly. Ted’s bakery was a morning stop and Haleiwa is a great town to shop and eat! We will definitely be back to this perfect home!!!

Exceeded every expectation!

We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Everything from the house to the location to the host's communication and accommodation exceeded our expectations. We stayed here for a month from mid-March to mid-April with our three kids (5, 3, and 6mo). All of them had a blast. The beach was so close that we could come and go as much as we wanted. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. The beach right out the front door was great for young kids with the larger swell being broken up by the outer reef before making it to shore. We were able to swim with our kids even with 20ft swell at Sunset. We also had bikes for our stay so the bike path and close proximity to other amazing beaches was awesome. The house was perfect for what we needed and the AC was a huge bonus. The rooms and living area were spacious. The front porch and back deck were awesome. The multiple hoses and outdoor shower were a game changer for coming and going to the beach. We couldn't have been happier with our stay and can't wait until we can come stay again!

Pupukea Paradise

We have stayed on the North Shore several times and the month we spent at Pat’s house was our most favorite. The 2-bedroom bungalow is located at the end of a secluded dead-end street. Consequently, the public beach access, which is across the street from the house, is known only to locals. The beach is minutes from the house. During our stay, there were more surfers using this beach daily than Sunset Beach that is a couple hundred yards to the south. We spent a lot of time watching surfers and enjoyed many spectacular sunsets. As others have said, the house is charming and conveys the old time Aloha spirit that you feel in the entire neighborhood. It has everything you need. It has a great porch in the front of the house, a big deck off the kitchen with a large dining table, a huge back yard, secure off street parking on the property with a locking gate, a wonderful enclosed outdoor shower (with fantastic water pressure!), and air conditioning that works well. We would have loved to stay for another month and hope to return in 2023.

Amazing Paradise

The Jewel of Sunset Point is certainly a gem of a property that is the only place we will stay when we travel to Hawaii. My husband and two teen aged children stayed in the property in March of 2015 and I loved it so much that I returned in November 2016 with a girlfriend/co-worker of mine when we extended the club trip from our company. This home has all of the amenities that you need with quick beach access across the street that has stunning sunsets. The lanaie is my favorite spot in the house to enjoy morning coffee after taking a walk along the bike path, or hike the path to the top of the mountain where you can get access to the path just off the elementary school parking lot that is near by. We liked to stop at Ted's bakery which is just a block or so away after morning exercise to grab some breakfast. The owners are very accommodating and respond quickly to inquiries. They even went back to the property for me when I thought I had forgotten some technology cords weeks after my stay. The home is very clean, the beds are heavenly and the back yard is a total bonus for playing games/catch with the family. This is the best VRBO vacation spot that I have found and I am certain to return again and again!! THANK YOU Stephen and Pat for sharing your property!

The "Jewel“ really is a jewel!

We’ve been to the North Shore several times over the past ten years (Sunset Beach area), but this house tops it all off. It was exactly as described. One review got it wrong, however: The house is not minutes away from the beach, it’s only seconds away! We stayed one month to watch – among other things – the 2 WSL CT events at Pipeline and Sunset. To Ehukai Beach Park it’s a 30-minute walk, so you don’t have to use the car. And you can watch the event at Sunset practically from your “home beach” (Mothers Beach) or walk 5 minutes if you want to listen to Rocky Canons beach commentary. There is one more thing I would like to point out: we were a party of 4 adults and my sister-in-law is a professional cook, who cooked for us every day. She was really amazed how well equipped the kitchen was. There was absolutely nothing that was missing! One last thing that we really enjoyed were the two huge lanais that gave perfect shelter from the rain which you have to expect in January & February. And I must not forget the perfect communication with Pat. Thanks again, Pat, for letting us share the real Aloha spirit.

They say all good things must come to an end...

As the title says, this really "good thing" came to an end, sadly, but what a wonderful vacation my daughter and I had at this beautiful beach home on Oahu's very chill Northshore! This cottage by the beach - and I mean literally second from the sandy shore - was a great find and we had such a great time here. The home is very well maintained inside and out and is stocked with everything you will need to have a very relaxing vacation. We spent the majority of our time doing the same thing - wake early and eat breakfast on the front veranda enjoying the sun rising and the palms swaying qently. By mid-morning we'd gather our gear including beach towels, lawn chairs and wave boards provided by the owner and head out the front door to the robust surf of the Northshore. We'd spend the entire day in the sand watching that amazing surf and all the surfers, listening to podcasts and enjoying the beauty all around. The beach is steps away from the cottage so we'd pop back up from time to time for a snack or another tropical beverage and back to the beach. After our day in the sun, we'd enjoy the fantastic outdoor shower - what a great way to remove the sand and enjoy the beauty of the huge backyard! The home has air conditioning but we really didn't use it all that much as opening the patio doors and letting the breeze flow through felt great. All the neighbors were very friendly and we'd gather on the beach at sunset each evening to visit and say farewell to another great day in paradise. Groceries are just a short ride south a couple miles and Ted's Bakery is right across the street. The Northshore is heavy on food trucks as a source of meals so if you're seeking lots of "fine dining" you'll want to stick close to Honolulu but if, like us, you want authentic Hawaii and a chill vibe with great people, this is your place. We enjoyed the zip lines and horseback riding as well as drives around the island in our Jeep with the tops off - we would love to come back again to both this home and the Northshore. Mahalo to the GREAT owners for their hospitality and I appreciated their rapid responses to my many questions before and during our stay!

Perfect in every way!

This was the perfect place for our family! The house was immaculately clean and the property was well maintained. The house itself is extremely charming and it’s very apparent that the homeowners put a lot of love and care into making this home such a special place. The best beach for kids on the North Shore is literally across the street. We stayed for a month and we were so comfortable here that even after a month we didn’t want to leave! We have so many wonderful memories here and can’t wait to be back!

Great House Great People

We stayed the month of March 2020 It started with covid -19 just starting to be talked about and everything open. By the end of our stay everything was closed and everyone told to stay home to stop the spread of the virus. This house was our rock during this time and we were thankful this was where we stayed. The house is everything the people have written in prior reviews. The Owners make you feel like family, checking to make sure we were ok in their time of need. Stay safe Hawaii and to the Owners and their family our thoughts are with you.

Magical place

Perfect location, friendly neighbourhood and right across from beach access. This was a perfect home for our holiday. The house itself had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean and very private. We would love to stay again. The beach was amazing and the surf great!

4th Stay & couldn't be better!

My family & I have stayed at this lovely home 4 times over the past 7 years & we have loved every moment. The location is superb, the amenities perfect & best of all it's walking distance to Ted's Bakery!! We will definitely be coming back for years to come. Mahalo!

Home away from home

From the moment we walked through the front door, the house felt so extremely comfortable & inviting. Like a home away from home. Checking in was so easy, the house was absolutely spotless, the yard is beautiful.. hands down, the best rental we have ever stayed in. Being able to leave our shoes on the lanai & walk across the street to the beach (or better yet.. down the street to Ted’s Bakery!) was my favorite part. My 6 year old loved finding geckos in the yard hehehe! Again, best rental I’ve ever stayed in! We will definitely stay again if we have the opportunity to
