"Cottage Pisces, It's all about the water!"

Cottage Pisces is located on Platte Lake with 2 bedrooms and one bath with room for 6. One minute walk to private resort beach. Close to kayaking, shopping, restaurants and minutes from Lake Michigan and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake-shore. 30 minutes from Traverse City, 18 minutes from Crystal Mountain, 15 minutes from Frankfort. So much to do and see for the whole family! Close to everything, but far from ordinary.
NOTE: I DO NOT ALLOW FISHING TRIPS AT MY COTTAGE! The cottage is intended for families or adult vacations only. Guests are not allowed to bring power boats, PWC, sail boats or RVs while staying at the resort. Boat slips and moorings at the private beach are for owners only. You may bring your own kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. PETS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED!!!! (Bringing a pet will result in a $500 assessment and immediate eviction).

Cottage Pisces was an amazing place to stay. The owners have put in a lot of effort to think of all the details to make your stay enjoyable. The combination of price, location, and amenities makes this place very hard to beat! We're keeping this on our list of places to come back to.

Perfect location for a quiet getaway with the family. The kids (and adults) loved having the lake so close to play in and the accessibility to Sleeping Bear, Interlochen, etc was fantastic.

JUNE at the Cottage

Such a totaling charming cottage. With just the two of us we had plenty of room. Everything was well stocked with little notes of guidance. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The Cottage Pisces was a perfect getaway for my friend and I. It is located in a great location for the places we wanted to visit. The cottage is updated and had everything we needed. It was clean and well supplied as well. We will definitely be back to stay at this wonderful gem.

My son, myself and my twin grandsons just completed a week at the cottage. The location was absolutely perfect Central to everything. The cottage is very well appointed with everything that we needed. Rick and Beth have thought of everything even wireless chargers and multiple USB charging outlets. The ceiling fans work very well, have timers and remote controls. The cottage was very comfortable and very inviting. We highly recommend a stay here if you want to do a Michigan vacation. Some some great spots to visit with kids are, of course the dunes, we rented bikes and rode the Heritage Trail, we kayak down the Platte river, took the ferry to South Manitou Island and even spent a rainy day at the Cognition Center and a few museums.

Great Location Cute Cottage

Our family found this to be the perfect fit for our getaway in Michigan. The location was great to visit the dunes, swim in the lake and explore the area. It was small space, but optimized very nicely and accommodated our family very well. They did a great job of providing all the things you need and we would gladly return!

Family reunion

Very clean and convenient location. Easy to book and great response from Rick. Close to Platte Lake which is extremely clean and sandy. House has great features and added little touches like clothes racks and coffee and creamer. Priced fairly for location to Lake MI, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc.

Great Stay on Platte Lake

Cabin was perfect for our family. The kids loved the beach and playground. Location was extremely close to so many activities! We would definitely stay here again.

Great Cottage in an awesome location

We loved our stay at Cottage Pisces which is located near a multitude of outdoor activities. We biked the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail and did multiple beautiful hikes in the sleeping bear dunes national park. We also kayaked the Platte river. (You can put it right at the cottage and paddle all the way to the lake shore!). There are many great beaches in the area. (Platte beach closest to the cottage is great but Empire and Glen Haven were also really nice. The cottage was very well equipped, and we were not wanting for anything. The beds were very comfortable and our son loved sleeping in the bunk beds. I saw one review saying the bunk beds were small, but we did not find that to be the case, the lower bunks could easily fit an adult. The hosts were great and quick to respond the few times we had questions. Would recommend and stay here again. Thanks!

Great weekend getaway

We stayed at Cottage Pisces for a long weekend and it was everything we needed. Our days were spent exploring the area and it was nice to come back to a relaxing cottage in the evenings. Everything is within an hour of driving or less. Plenty of things to do in the area if you enjoy being outdoors. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.

Lovely cottage on Platte Lake

Our family and my parents stayed at cottage Pisces for 4 nights this June and had a wonderful time. The cottage is just right for an “up north” adventure and is in a fantastic location. The kids loved the grounds and it was fun to take a quick stroll to the beach. The water is very shallow for 30+ yards off the shore, so we enjoyed allowing them to play with no fear of them getting out of their depth. They also liked to play together on the play set. Richard and his wife did a wonderful job of thinking of and providing all the little things you may need. We felt comfortable and at home and had a wonderful time. Just a bit up the road is the trading post (walking distance) where you can find some snacks but also make arrangements for tubing or kayaking down the Platte River. The cottage is about 20 min from Frankfort, which has a lovely downtown and views of Lake Michigan and the lighthouse. Betsie Point is a similar distance and also had a beautiful light house. If you have little ones, there is an Alpaca farm not more than 20 minutes as well as Glen Frostic’s studio, which is worth a visit. We highly recommend cottage Pisces and are hopeful to return again soon!

Cottage Pisces Getaway!

We enjoyed a wonderful girls getaway here! The weather was PERFECT and the water was AMAZING!! This cottage is super close to so many things to check out- which we did! Neighbors were great, very quiet at night. Cottage has everything you will need! Just bring your sense of fun! Highly recommend!!

Cozy Cottage!

Our blended family of 6, ranging in ages from 10, 12, 17 & 23 enjoyed staying at Cottage Pisces. The older ones fit well on the bottom bunks and the younger ones stayed on the top bunks! Everything was very clean, nicely decorated and the essentials were well stocked! We enjoyed meeting others at the resort and everyone was so friendly. The shared beach was peaceful to watch the sunset or to just sit under the stars! The firepit was perfect for making smores! It is conveniently located to many fun things to do! We would stay here again!

Wonderful cottage

Spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, well-appointed! Comfortable beds, nice and bright rooms with large, well-functioning windows, ceiling fans in bedrooms and living area. The “closet” systems of shelving and racks are so handy, and much nicer than a dark closet! Pisces cottage is the first unit off the road, in a sweet little kind of retro style resort, but still quiet and a little off the beaten path. The shared beach area isn’t large, but was never crowded when we were there. Nice chairs provided, and a nice fire ring area and dock. Contactless checking in and out, and Hosts were always available with the info we needed at the right times, and very personable. We would stay here again!

Decent property for the price

Nice property for family with small children. The condo would be tight for full grown children. Beautiful lake in Northern Michigan with breathtaking views from the beach. However it is truly northern and there is swimmers itch and some bugs to deal with. Great location for many options for day trips.

This cottage is in the perfect place. Minutes from kayaking, Lake Michigan, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Wine Tours, Dining, Shopping, Beaches, Rivers, Casinos, sightseeing, grocery stores. There is so much to do, one week will not be enough time! You will want to come back every year!
