Storybook Cabin with Mountain and Lake Views on Emerald Bay and Bubble too!
The Magical Bird House overlooks Emerald Bay and enjoys soaring views to the mountains beyond. We refer to our intimate cabin, tucked up among the treetops as "The Bird House" due to its abundance of visiting birds and wildlife. The home is furnished with contemporary pieces yet remains true to its cozy cabin feel with plush blankets and rustic artwork. The Outdoor Bubble allows guests to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains, lake and wildlife while staying cozy and warm inside. Guests tell us they have never experienced anything like this and have named the spectacle "Snow White's Magical Kingdom." It truly is beyond explanation. The newest addition of an adult-sized playhouse complete with loft overlooking the lake is a big favorite with guests of all ages. Arrowhead Village is a 5-minute drive, or if you prefer a beautiful 2 mile walk along the maintained Arrowhead Lake streets and lakeside trails. The Bird House offers interest for everyone of all ages. Those who wish to lounge with morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, may sit in the Bubble and take in the changing scenery as the sunrise and sunset color the distant mountains. The younger crowd who will spend hours playing with the custom-made doll’s house or having epic NERF battles with more than a dozen NERF guns and hundreds of rounds of “amo” which are kept outside in the “NERF BUNKER.” Our goal is that guests will feel completely at home and create lasting memories in our private little piece of heaven.
The driveway to our cabin is very steep. If you drive up the driveway, there is parking right at the house, but if you decided not to use the driveway, you may park at the bottom of the driveway off the street. Once up the stairs, the beautiful deck and views will make up for the trek. Most original Lake Arrowhead homes are built up on the hills to allow for better views of the majestic landscapes. We want to make sure our guests know ahead of time about the driveway and stairs to make sure that works for them and their family.
Dogs are welcome and there is a $125 extra non-refundable fee.

Of all of the cabins in Lake Arrowhead, The Bird House is special. Its location high in the trees above the lake allows for the rare view of both mountains and Emerald Bay. It also sits apart from other homes around the lake so it feels very private. The experience of sitting outside in the Outdoor Bubble cannot be explained. Birds, squirls, chimpmunks and all sorts of wildlife forage and frolick just a few feet from you, but they aren't frightened because they somehow know you can't reach them from the Bubble. You and your family sit in a sort of reverse snow globe, cozy by the electric fireplace and snuggled with electric blankets to keep you warm even as the temperature outside drops below freezing.
There is a tent stocked with NERF guns and equipment for epic hide and seek battles as well as a custom made doll house with all of the furniture. Games for all ages as well as the lake across the street and moutain trails less than 2 miles away.

The Bird House is a mountain cabin with contempory elegant decor that offers a retreat from the ordinary. Guests are raving about their experience with the most comment sentiment being, "The only thing wrong with the Bird House is that we had to leave it!"
