Enjoy this absolutely gorgeous canal home in Jamaica Beach offering wonderful views. You'll be able to be the first to enjoy everything that this home has to offer. This cozy home will leave you and your guests wanting more and wishing you stayed longer. You will love spending time here making memories that will last a lifetime.

Enjoy cool refreshing cocktails while taking in the views at one of the many outdoor seating areas. Whether you are upstairs or down, you will have an opportunity to grill burgers or the fresh catch of the day on either of the two Paradise grills. One on each level. In the evening, use the green underwater light to watch your own personal aquarium or catch fish while night fishing. There are three kayaks for your enjoyment. This is one of our guest's favorite activities while at the beach house. Cruise the canals, enjoy bird watching or enjoy day fishing in the kayak. The boat slip is not available for use, but you can bring your own boat and tie it off on the bulkhead.

The beautiful updates are eye-catching and stunning. The open floor plan offers three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two bedrooms are on the main living level which is upstairs, The eye-catching upgraded kitchen is adorned with stainless steel appliances, gorgeous granite counters as well as new cabinets. Pendant lights hang above the counter space that can be used for dining or as a nice workspace. The dining table is adjacent and offers space to enjoy a meal, play games, or take in the view from indoors. All of the furniture is new, including the mattresses. The home has new laminate wood floors throughout. The welcoming home offers vaulted wood beam ceilings which create a cozy escape. The plantation shutters are an added bonus. The main bedroom with a king-size bed has a brand new breathtaking ensuite with a walk-in shower offering a spa-like feel with Bluetooth available for relaxing lighting and streaming music. The cozy second bedroom has a full-size bed with a twin trundle, and two swivel chairs to help you decompress while reading a book. The main level bath offers a stone-lined shower and beautiful decor. There is also a queen size pull out sofa.

Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Moody Gardens are a short ten-minute drive away. They are always a favorite for visitors. The historic Strand District is a great place to visit as well. With its many souvenir and boutique shops, along with wonderful dining, you will truly enjoy a day trip to town.

This magical home is the perfect getaway for you to spend quality time with friends and family. Be one of the lucky first guests to enjoy this treasure in Jamaica Beach.

Absolutely precious home! We enjoyed our quick New Years stay at this home. Probably the most well stocked rental we’ve ever stayed in. They didn’t miss a single detail on things you may need during your stay. We loved that there was a full room/bath down stairs for a little more privacy. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, sitting on the large upstairs outdoor patio and being able to bring our own boat. Hoping to return to this rental soon.

Wonderful, cozy, super clean house!

My husband, me and our two kids (7 and 9) had a wonderful long weekend at The Southwest Pelican. The house is very comfortable, tasteful decorated and we felt right at home. Loved all the high quality furniture (outdoor chairs are sturdy and mattresses and pillows are very comfy!). Location is perfect! Our boys loooved fishing off the dock and using the kayaks to paddle around the canal. Closest beach is accessible by car and only a few minutes away. Loved the quiet mornings drinking coffee on the porch. The house is so well stocked! We cooked our own meals every night (the kids preferred this, so they could fish while we would cook, in stead of sitting in a restaurant ;)) and all amenities are there! Would love to come back one day!

Great place

This is the third house we have rented from Kathy. She is a great host and her houses are top notch. This place is clean and looks as though was very recently remodeled. There are 2 in water dock lights that kept the trout and reds there all night!

Great house for small family.

We enjoyed our stay 4 adults and a 13 & 9 year old plus fur baby. The only thing the canal had a bad odor so we couldn't enjoy the kayak's. Wish the boat didn't block our lower level view of the canal but didn't spend any time down there. Over all had a nice quit time. Thank you, Kathy! Let us know if you have other properties but on the beach side for next visit. 😉

We enjoyed this nicely decorated, clean canal home. The layout worked well for my family. The house is well stocked with kitchen utensils and other essentials. The outdoor seating was nice, the kids loved the kayaks and the green lights for night fishing. We recommend this home!

Nice waterfront retreat!

We had a fantastic stay at this charming home—it was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. We especially enjoyed the spacious deck overlooking the canal, which offered a peaceful spot to unwind. My boys loved fishing right off the boat dock, adding a special touch to our visit. Kathy, the host, was wonderful and responsive, making everything easy from start to finish. The check-in and check-out process was simple and hassle-free. We highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking to relax and soak in all that Jamaica Beach has to offer.

Clean, comfortable house in quiet neighborhood

Kids loved the kayaks and we caught plenty of trout in the canal. House was spotless and in a great location.

The property is very clean and the kitchen is well stocked. We didn’t enjoy the lovely outdoor area as much as we’d have liked due to the mosquitos so BRING SPRAY. There were a couple of issues that the management addressed promptly. Would suggest more seating at the kitchen table as the barstools are too tall for it and we wanted to eat together.

Beautiful and cozy home

We have stayed in many rental properties in various locations but this was our first time in Galveston. This was a beautiful and comfortable home. It was absolutely immaculate and well taken care of. We did not have the best luck with weather during our stay, but when it was nice out the deck was spectacular! Thank you!

Spring break vacation

The place was great. We fished off the dock in the evenings, were conveniently located to groceries and restaurants and were able to drive 5 minutes and park on the beach for some sun and sand. Loved the place.

A little out of the way, but nice

Great property. Super easy to fish and kayak. Easy parking. Plenty of dishes and supplies in the house. The description was pretty spot on as far as how it set up and all amenities. It is a little bit far away from Galveston and things to do. The property manager was a little tricky to get in touch with because she was sick, but we were able to figure it out and get into the house. Over all a good day. Overall, a really good staying there.

Amazing Girl's Trip!

Saying goodbye

As the title says"saying goodbye" to a loved one. Travelled from Canada to Galveston to do a burial at sea. Getting to the house was easy from the Houston airport. At the house we were five adults (60+ yrs). It was easy access to the home. First impressions....clean and comfortable decor. I must say that I have stayed at a few VRBO homes through the years and this home was set up "beyond" excellent for the kitchen. We we able to cook daily without any "do they have this" comments. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a bathroom for each couple plus one singleton. The added basement suite with bath and lower deck allowed everyone their space and solitude if needed. The decks were clean and the furniture was solid and didn't wobble. We were able to enjoy our morning javas outside with the warm wind. A lovely way to start the day especially with the weather we had been experiencing up north. If I was going to give a negative comment it would only be that the upper entrance door 'sticks' a little when opening/closing it and the ice maker froze up with a big hunk that we cleared out....thats it! Would love to return another time and stay longer.

Great time!

Beautiful home on the bay

We have stayed at many rentals and I have to say this house had everything! The house was beautiful and clean and stocked. It had everything you need in the kitchen and more. The location is great. All the kids enjoyed kayaking and fishing. Would definitely come back.

Great house, great location!

The home is an absolute gem! Be one of our first guests to enjoy the brand new furnishings throughout. The beautiful updates and brand new mattresses are such a treat. Let's not forget the high-end paradise grills on each level along with multiple dining areas. Kayaking on the canals is a favorite as well. So many wonderful amenities to this vacation rental.
