Well needed vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Staff was great! Silver Dunes location is perfect! Beach was awesome! It was nice to be in a low rise condo complex (3 stories max) not one of the huge 20 story condos you find along Destin beaches. This smaller condo complex means you do not have a crazy amount of rows and rows of beach chairs and umbrellas that make the beach feel and look like a Walmart parking lot! I highly recommend Silver Dunes as a good place to stay at a fair price.

Relaxing, Kitchen Stocked, Comfortable, Perfect

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit had a well stocked kitchen for serving/cooking/baking. It also had an outdoor closet full of beach items to use, very handy for kids and those needing a chair nearer the waters edge. Comfortable beds, a/c worked great, extra blankets was wonderful. Only thing that would have been nice would have been coffee/filters, but we were switched last minute to this unit because of hurricane flooding in our other unit and we didn't even have time to look at what type of coffee maker was available (it might be in the description), so just know to bring your own filters/ground coffee. Only issue we had was checking-in after hours because we did not receive the keyless entry and the office after-hours was not available. We did finally get confirmation through facebook messenger and through the gate conference box at drive in (about 45 minutes). BUT, I know the hurricane through people for a loop and Wifi was down, just was not the best upon checking-in after a 9 hour drive. CONDO was great though and have been and will continue to come back because we love SILVER DUNES!

We love Silver Dunes!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Silver Dunes is a great, family friendly complex, no crowds, and right on the beach. We have stayed in many units over our 30 years staying at SD. This particular unit is nice and updated but desperately needs a new mattress in the master bedroom. It not only had the typical body groves but also sank a lot in the middle when you laid down. Everything else was wonderful!

Thank you so much for your review! We will reach out to the owner about the mattress and hope to get this resolved quickly. We cannot wait to see you again!

Nice.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was well situated to the beach (about 50 yards, as stated). The walk to the beach was nice and mostly grass, so no shoes were needed. The grass courtyard was lively, and children of all ages played in it. The unit was clean, stocked, and well-maintained.

A blast from the past!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love Silver Dunes...a grand old lady...took my children here in the 80’s...now my grandchildren for their first beach trip! We had a ground floor condo which was perfect for 3...ages 12 months to almost 5. The great green space, lovely patio and short walk to the best beach were perfect for everyone! My only complaint about my unit were the beds. The mattresses slept like back in the 80’s. I have a massage scheduled! The unit was adequate, somewhat dated but comfortable for 2 ladies and 3 girls! We will be back next fall break.

Nice Place - Good Service

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival, discovered the TV in the living room did not work. After a quick call, the tv was replaced the next day. Appreciate the prompt service on getting a replacement. The only improvement opportunity would be the cleanliness of the patio area. Just behind the wall was food and pizza crust thrown on the ground.

PERFECTION!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Outstay was perfection! Silver Dunes provided the perfect vacation spot for our family. We rented 3 condos in A and my sister rented 3 in D. So our families were across the huge, open green space. It was perfect for our many toddler grandchildren to play together while parents and grandparents could keep a watchful eye. With the pool on one end and the beach on the other, it was easy to enjoy either. The condos are great. They are not “big” spaces but out time was spent outdoors most of the time. We stayed in A104, 105 and 106 and they were all just great. I’ve learned after coming for several years to bring some of my own sharp knives from home, and my girls bring an InstaPot and Crock Pot because we don’t eat out with so littles. The location of Silver Dunes is perfect with every retail store you might need within 1-2 miles. It’s one of the few locations that is not a high rise which would not work for our young grandchildren. So easyTo bring your beach cart and easily transport all your gear to the beach. We LOVE it and will never stay anywhere else!

15 years staying at Silver Dunes

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have consistently stayed at Silver Dunes with my family as well as coming in the fall with friends. I loved every part of my stay. However, this year many things have changed. The grounds were overgrown and not maintained, the grass was very tall outside my sister's unit. Several lights were out on tennis courts. No towel exchange with no washer and dryer in my unit. Only one set up of toilet paper that was ONE PLY which no one would use anyway! New deposit twice as much as before with chance of losing half $$. Prices going up and service going down. Very sad to see changes!Did not rebook for first time.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Destin is our favorite beach vacation destination and Silver Dunes has been our choice for over 40 years. This year we had a few issues with the cleanliness of our condo upon our arrival; however, they were all addressed immediately by front office management to our satisfaction which resulted in our “as usual” wonderful vacation experience!

Fabulous Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 106A was perfect for our group. It is centrally located, close to the pool and the beach. The electrical outlet in the bathroom was not working, called management, went to breakfast, returned and it was already replaced. You can't ask for quicker service than that. The only complaint about our trip, the pool was so cold. It said it was a heated pool but it was not. Loved our stay at the Silver Dunes and will return.
