Enjoy the comfort of this condo located on ground level with a great view of the 2nd green of Oyster Bay Golf Links.

The condo is pet friendly (small dogs under 35 lbs) with a non-refundable pet fee per pet and up to 2 dogs allowed. The floor plan features adjoining dining/kitchen and living areas with two large sets of sliding glass doors and large windows to enjoy a scenic view of the golf course and property grounds. The kitchen is fully-equipped and the dining area has a table for four with a raised bar offering additional seating for four. An outdoor patio accessible from the living room area is the perfect spot to enjoy relaxing after a day on the beach or the golf course. Watch golfers test their putting skills on the green and observe the native coastal wildlife. The condo has wireless Internet and three televisions (streaming service only using your own accounts/Guest Mode) with a DVD player in the living room for entertainment value. There are two bedrooms and two full baths. The master bedroom is equipped with 2 Queen beds and the master bath has a walk-in shower. The front bedroom also has 2 Queen beds and private bath with tub/shower enclosure. The front bedroom has a private screened porch area with sliding glass door access. The condo has central heat & air along with a large ceiling fan in the central area for comfort in every season. A front laundry room has a full-sized washer and dryer available for guest use. The community grounds have an outdoor pool, charcoal grills and tennis courts with basketball goal on site. Complimentary linens, towels and departure cleaning service are provided for every rental. Sunset Beach is only a 3-mile drive away and is an unspoiled barrier island with soft sand and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Reserve this condo for the perfect golf and beach getaway!

Living room rug needed cleaning. Unit had everything you needed. Great location to beach and diners. Management company great to work with. Look forward to renting the unit again in the future.

Summary - Disappointing stay; heating, cleanliness, and age issues.I really wanted to enjoy this stay, but unfortunately, there were significant issues that made it difficult. The biggest challenge was that the property had no working heat during very cold weather. While the property management company was kind enough to drop off portable heaters after I reached out, the property owner was unresponsive to my messages about the lack of heat.Communication with the owner was a struggle from the start. I actually had to contact VRBO support just to get my reservation confirmed because the owner wasn't replying. Aside from the cold, the property is very old and outdated compared to the photos. The washer and dryer, for example, looked like they were 40 years old. The bathrooms were also not cleaned properly upon arrival, with hair and dirt visible in both. I appreciated the management team's effort to help, but the property needs serious updates and cleaning before I could recommend it.

Thanks for your review. Maintenance was contacted after office hours and did take over portable heaters when the heat issue was reported. The HVAC company was contacted, and the heat was repaired the following morning. A credit was issued for the night that there was no heat other than the portables. There were no reported cleaning issues during the stay. Housekeeping service is available every day and will promptly take care of any reported issues. Cleanliness is considered a top priority for every guest stay. Regarding the lack of response when the property was reserved, the system shows the reservation was booked and processed the same day. Confirmation emails were sent and viewed the same day as well so there was no delay in confirming the reservation. Heating system/appliance issues may occur at any time, and every effort is made to resolve the issue as quickly as possible when this happens. The feedback on the washer/dryer is appreciated and will be passed along to the homeowner. I hope you will consider staying again in the future

Big, well furnished condo

I was surprised how big the condo was! More than enough space for family of 4! Kitchen dishes and cookware well stocked and many family games to enjoy. Nice quiet community—6 minute drive to beach, over the bridge and 6 minute drive to Calabash for all the restaurants you could want!

Nice location

My family and I enjoyed our stay but we did see a few roaches and spiders in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The porches had lots of spider webs and were not clean. We could hear the people walking in the unit above us which was really annoying.

Oyster Bay Golf Links - Quiet with

The property at Oyster Bay Golf Links is in a lovely location and close to conveniences like grocery stores, the beach, and dining. The ground floor unit was perfect for us and our small dogs, with easy access to walking areas, the pool, and the lakes on the property. The unit is furnished nicely and is great for two people or two couples. My one recommendation would be to remove the carpet in the living area. It is old, looks worn, is stained, and takes away from the general appearance. With LVP throughout, the unit would look much better without this eyesore.

Basic, nothing special

Honestly, the first thing we noticed was a horrible smell in the yellow bedroom that was a mix of mildew and body odor. The second was several bugs (some dead, some not), then someone’s underwear left in a drawer. Not a great impression. The unit is fine, as far as being stocked and acceptable to stay in, but it is old. The appliances and plumbing are old. We ran out of hot water every day and the toilets hung up often. Be warned: there are no paper towels, extra trash bags, or extra towels. Bring your own towels and washcloths or you will have to do laundry every day. Also, the check in time was pushed to 5pm a few days before arrival, which was a hassle, because the office to get the pool key closed at 4. We had an hour to kill before we could get in. Then, the check out time was changed from 10 to 9, the night before we left! There is a ton of stuff required to do before checkout, so we had to get up super early to do it all. For no more than they cleaned, I am not sure why they needed extra time. Definitely won’t be renting this again. We usually stay on the island or at Brunswick Plantation (which is much cleaner and well-maintained), so we will stick to that next time.
