Thornwood is an exclusively private 9 acre estate located in the heart of "God's Country" in Lansing,  Iowa. The Thornwood Estate offers beautiful scenery and provides the best nature-filled escape. It is located just 4 miles from the Mississippi River. This property features 3 separate buildings that can be rented for everyone to enjoy together while allowing for ample spacing. Short walking trails are also located around the property for your enjoyment. The Thornwood Estate would be a great secluded event venue for a small wedding celebration or a family reunion. 
The main house is beautifully appointed with custom oak cabinets and accents with impeccably detailed woodwork. The main house offers 3 spacious master bedrooms, all with gorgeous views of the landscape. 2 separate loft rooms are found on the 3rd floor in the main house that will allow for more beds to compliment your stay. This property is perfectly equipped with everything you need to feel at home during your stay; kitchen pots/pans/utensils, fresh linens, brand-new flat screen TVs in the living area spaces, as well as a washing/drying machine. 
There is also a cabin that is also available to rent, with an additional charge. NOTE: There may be guests also staying at that cabin, at the same time of your stay.

Thornwood cabin is a beautifully wood-crafted space that is easily accessible from the main driveway. This cabin offers a small living area, equipped with a small kitchen, as well as a loft that includes a queen-sized bed. It provides a private space within very close proximity to the main living quarters.
