The Space:

Come enjoy the white sand beaches and all that Gulf Shores has to offer. This 4th floor beachfront condo at Island Winds West is the perfect location in the center of Gulf Shores, just steps to The Hangout and the many shops and restaurants in the heart of this beautiful little beach town. Just west of the main public beach, you are in walking distance to many of the attractions and events. Simply put, this is THE best location in town and the beachfront views are unparalleled. This great unit has been recently updated with a new color scheme, bedding and ceiling fans. Features include: fully equipped kitchen with keurig machine, gulf front pool, kiddie pool, fitness center, walk to restaurants and shops, closest complex to The Hangout and Shrimp Festival, washer and dryer, cable TV, and internet. The unit sleeps 4 with a king bed in the bedroom and queen sleeper sofa in living room and Egyptian Cotton linens.



Complex Amenities; Outdoor pool, kiddie pool, fitness room, and BBQ area



Be sure to book this unit early for the Shrimp Festival and Hangout Music Festival because it is in high demand.



Parking is limited to one (1) car. You will receive an email in advance of your arrival to register and pay for your parking pass. If you do not receive it, please let us know. You must complete this step in advance of your arrival. Upon arrival, you will need to visit the Island Winds East front desk to pick up your parking pass. Island Winds West is charging $50 per parking pass. This price can change at any time, without notice.

My family had a wonderful time while im gulf shores. The place was as shown, beach front, magnificent view, and was very pleasant. The property needs a little attention. An update with a good painter to paint and clean up the baseboards. The floors need cleaned, socks were black on the bottom the first night. The pots and pans are okay for veggies and to boil something, but non-stick pans would be much better. After making eggs we had to boil water in the pan to get it off/clean. Overall, it was very easy and messagea were prompt with detailed information. The place just needs TLC.

The view of the beach was great. There are chairs on the balcony that we sat and had coffee every morning. It was a small condo where you walk into the bedroom from the main door. The closet doors did not work properly. Figuring out the light switches took a bit. Just a few maintenance items to fix and maybe an update would be helpful.

My winter home!

Very beautiful view of gulf all day long, peaceful and relaxing, it does need some appliances replaced and professional cleaning of furniture, chair cushions and decorative pillows etc, otherwise we would love to come again

Having an ocean view balcony on the 4th floor was very nice. As far as the room though, it was somewhat disappointing. I had read in other reviews where the bedroom was right as you entered the door. This was not welcome as you could hear everything outside, the elevator at all hours of the night, and even with blackout curtains, a lot of light came in around the window and the door seal which made it difficult to get a good nights rest. The rest of the condo, although clean, was very dated and a bit rough around the edges.

Noisy and terrible kitchen

1. The a/c is crazy loud. 2. The kitchen has a giant microwave on the counter, an awkward sink and faucet, ancient dishwasher that is right up against the oven door. Coffee filter basket missing. There was egg yolk on the a bunch of the dinner plates! Nasty! 3. The bathroom faucet makes everything and you wet.

Not clean and not accurate

Was not satisfied with our stay. Loved the location however description said we were allowed 2 parking passes (we had to pay for) but once there was only allowed 1.. and also very rude about it stating “not my problem” when asking where my daughter was supposed to park. Also there were lots of open parking spots and STILL was not allowed to get the 2 parking passes mentioned in description. Condo was FILTHY. Sand was still on the floor AND in the bed… although we were still charged a cleaning fee! Do not recommend at all. For the price we paid for 2 nights we should have gotten something much nicer/cleaner and more accommodating.

If we hadn’t went on our honeymoon during peak vacation season, the room would’ve been probably 150 cheaper. Which is maybe about right. Thais property wasn’t terrible and it wasn’t great either. The decor is VERY dated, the air conditioning makes a huge rattle when running. The bedroom is located right next to the entry door which makes every outside noise amplified. The washer, dryer, bed, pull out sofa, chair, pillows and all linens weren’t very good. If you go to this property it’s best to just bring everything from home because the owners don’t really offer an upscale stay but the charge sure is. The balcony chairs are old and cracked. The view of the beach is nice, the private walkway and pool was nice. The property in my opinion wasn’t very nice for the charge I paid. But, live and learn. 5.6/10. I won’t stay here again without some major improvements.

Needs work

Front door handle half off on front door, 1 roll toilet paper, paint peeling above TV. Been like that for awhile seen one review n still haven’t touched up. Simple stuff when you walk in spend a thousand dollars n no paint should be peeling, front door should have been correct. Wires coming out n no cover around TV . Won’t stay there again because I can get better , lot better place for the money we spent. Good location only good thing

Mommy son trip

This condo was a perfect size for my 5 year and myself but it definitely needs a paint job. The paint is peeling in several places on the walls and towel hooks for bathroom towels would help. Having kids it would have been helpful to have some plastic bowls for cereal and snacks. The blankets in the closet smelled like they hadn’t been washed and I wasn’t able to fit them in the wash machine because it’s small. Other than that we had a great time at the condo!! Great view of the ocean, nice cool air conditioning, awesome tvs, and perfect location to everything!!! Would also have loved to have a keurig in the kitchen for coffee. Thanks for a great stay!!
