Newly renovated 3 BR; 1 bath; uniquely located in Sandy Hook's Officers Row with ocean views and an abundance of outdoor activities to keep everyone entertained. Sleeps 8-10. 1st fl : Full kitchen; LR with pullout couch 2nd fl: Large Master BR with king bed; BR with Queen 3rd Fl - two twins; BSMT W/D and Ping Pong table; Walking distance to the Beach, the Bay, Bike Riding/Hiking Paths; Historic sites ie Lighthouse /History House. Outside space has beautiful porch and a BBQ and picnic tables.

Fantastic stay! We had a wonderful quiet weekend and enjoyed the beach, bike rentals, exploring the old military post, and a couple of meals at the Mule Barn Tavern.

This was such a great place to stay! The accommodations fit our family of 5 perfectly! The kids loved the ping pong table. We really enjoyed walking and exploring the history of Sandy Hook.

Great national park stay

Had a great stay! Property is exactly as shown and the location is unbeatable. We had a little trouble with the electronic lock when we first checked in, but Dan picked up the phone right away and was there in under 20 minutes with fresh batteries and a key.

Beautiful Stay on Sandy Hook

My Husband and I Love Sandy Hook and the Highlands area. The officers Row Houses are so amazing. This one is beautiful and nicely restored. Very comfortable with everything you need. Great local restaurants and peaceful beaches.

Sr tennis week in SeaBright/Rumson

The old officer quarters on Sandy Hook was unique and in many ways picturesque being on Sandy Hook. House was nice, but tight. Tough only having one bathroom. Easy to get to and a very good spot for biking and swimming in the bay.

A Historic Gem

Wonderful and unique location at Fort Hancock on Sandy Hook. Surrounded by both nature and history. Plenty of places to explore. We will definitely return.

November Stay

It was clean and comfortable. Had almost everything in the kitchen, loved the privacy and being able to walk everywhere in the park was great. The Mule Shed was fun and on the same road, easy! Would definitely stay again!

Incredible place

It was amazing to stay on Sandy Hook in refurbished quarters. We loved the kitchen and the front porch especially. Beds were comfortable. Lots of great places to explore and enjoy. We had a big group and it worked pretty well.

Great place to stay

This property is in the perfect spot for going to the beach, NYC, an event at MetLife Stadium and a quiet getaway. The rental was beautiful, well equipped and maintained. Would definitely recommend this for a summer vacation! Gorgeous sunsets, ferry to NYC within minutes, cool evening breezes and wonderful beaches all in one place.

Living History

Our stay at Fort Hancock was like going back in time! Our house was beautifully decorated, clean and right in the middle of everything. Our host was welcoming and accommodated our every need. The national seashore was breathtaking. Run don’t walk to an amazing vacation!

Perfect Location, Awesome House

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here on Sandy Hook. We love the outdoors (any time of the year) so staying here gave us perfect access to miles of trails and exploring Ft. Hancock. It was also a great location to travel to other areas of interest such as New York City, Asbury Park, the American Dream Mall, among others. The house was beautiful, immaculate, the renovation well done, and well appointed with all that we needed for our stay. The Mule Barn was a convenient short walk up the road with good food and a great atmosphere. Owner was responsive, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Beautiful place

Very nice area. House was good! There are pathways to walk and ride bikes. Lots of wildlife. Seemed like we were in the wilderness but only a 40 minute ferry ride to NYC. Owner was easy to deal with and very helpful!

Unique Experience

Amazing Sergeant’s quarters which were renovated into a beautiful home. We had 24 hour access to a national park. There is so much history here. Make sure to visit the Mule Barn Bar.

Sandy Hook Memories

My husband stayed at this property with his three best friends from high school who all went to MAST which is on Sandy Hook 25 years ago. They loved the property and the location. There was a new restaurant that just opened on the Hook as well as an added bonus. Now our sons, 10 and 13, want to go and stay! We will be back!

Reunion

This is a great and comfortable property. The views from the front porch, and watching the sun set over the water are amazing. We made use of the kitchen and it was very well appointed other than lacking a cutting board. The small living room was a great place to talk and watch some football with the sun coming through the windows. The bedroom were comfortable and spacious. We all went to high school at Sandy Hook and really enjoyed being back there for the weekend.

A peaceful and charming getaway

We are so fortunate to be able to stay right in Fort Hancock in this charming property. The house was comfortable and clean. The seals were at the bay for the winter. Dan was available to answer any questions we had. We love exploring the Fort, the bay, and the beach. There are so many areas to take long walks. Winter is a great time to be at Sandy Hook. It is a beautiful area to visit.

Great property

We had a great stay here at Fort Hancock in sandy hook. House was even better than the pictures showed. The property gives you great access to the whole park, nearby bars and restaurants, whale watching. Easy to Uber in and out of town. Had a great relaxing 3 days and would 100% rent this again. House is comfortable for 4 or 5 singles and up to 7-8 if you have a bunch of couples. Updates in the kitchen bathroom and queen and king rooms are very nice in the house and you can’t beat the location.

Great location, perfect for families

Fantastic location in Historic Fort Hancock on Sandy Hook! So quiet and peaceful, and lots of outdoor space for kids to explore and run around. The house is nicely set up for families, with a few quirks. It is an old home, so expect the normal creaky doors and floors. The door to the upstairs bedroom with the twin beds got stuck closed a few times, which was a little scary with kids in the room. That bedroom is also much warmer than the rest of the house, which isn’t a problem, but just keep that in mind. There is a nice fan provided to help with that. The kitchen had some nice pots and pans, but they were pretty dirty when we arrived, so we had to scrub them before use. We also had to ask for check-in instructions since we hadn’t heard from the property and wasn’t sure when we would receive them. After messaging them, we heard back about 24 hours before check-in. Overall, a lovely location, quiet, close to the beaches, and great for a getaway.
