Luxury condo, slope side located at the top of Sugar Mountain. GREATVEIWS!

Open floor plan with full kitchen, and balcony that over looks the slopes. Kitchen has washer, dryer, dishwasher and espresso machine. Living room has 60” wall mount TV and surround sound with bluetooth, echo show included for area info, weather, alarm etc..pullout couch has twin with memory foam mattress, massage chair for relaxation after skiing or hiking, desktop computer and wireless printer available for business travelers or searching local attractions. Bedroom is open to living room efficiency style, queen memory foam mattress and 40” wall mount TV, and multiple charging areas provided for cellphone charging. Heated bathroom with walk in shower, glass doors and seat, toilet with no touch flush.
Whether you want to escape the heat or come for your winter ski trip/get away, our condo is the right place.

Sugar Ski & Country Club is a year-round condominium resort located on top of Sugar Mountain in the North Carolina High Country. Offering four seasons of enjoyment, we are the area’s only true ski in/ski out lodging center during the winter months.

Spring and Summer months find us wonderfully cool and the Autumn color is simple awe-inspiring. Sugar Mountain’s hiking and mountain biking trails are right out your door!

Our new Clubhouse opened in May 2021 and features an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and hot tub along with a fitness room. During Spring, Summer and Fall, enjoy our tennis/pickleball court. Outdoor grills and picnic tables are found near each building.

The appeal of the High Country to folks is the access to pristine nature and activities that immerse you in the wild beauty of the mountains. Sugar Ski & Country Club is close to many mountain activities. Besides skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking right from our property, Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Sugar Mountain’s Golf Course, Gem Mining and the Alpine Coaster are all just minutes away!

We really enjoyed our stay at this Ski in Ski out condo. It was very clean and we felt the location was perfect. Close to several food options and grocery stores. Would stay again. Host communicated very well.

Super cute and quaint room, perfect for couples or singles. It has everything you need for a stay. Walk to Omas Meadow was super close. Would definitely stay again!

The apartment was lovely comfortable and allowed 3 people to stay thanks to the twim sofa comfortable mattress and amazing espresso machine and the heat and comfortable house overall loved the stay and closeness to the slopesnand view outside for skiing

Paradise to Oma’s Meadow

The convenience can’t be beat. Perfect location for hitting the slopes early and coming in late for a hot cup of cocoa. The washer and dryer were perfect for keeping our gear warm. Overall a great stay for a convenient ski trip!

We enjoyed our time in the mountains, Sugar never disappoints. The condo doesn’t have a closet or any space for clothing/luggage, which makes it difficult to settle in for any stay over a day or two. Be prepared to live out of a suitcase. Among the issues we encountered were:Fridge had leftover food in it, place wasn’t clean, and we didn’t receive the door code until we requested it (after 5pm).

Coziest condo ever

The place was absolutely fantastic. The owner did a great job of designing the interior. It felt bigger than it looked in pictures. There was 3 of us and we had plenty of room. Will absolutely try to stay here next year as well!

Perfect Ski in/Ski out

This condo was absolutely perfect with a fantastic view of Oma’s Meadow. We enjoyed being able to walk over and start skiing! We even learned how to take 2 lifts back up to eat lunch in the condo! The massage chair was amazing, especially after a day of skiing. The washer and dryer was a life saver for drying out ski attire and for washing necessities during our stay. We enjoyed listening to music compliments of asking Alexa! The heated bathroom was wonderful, especially when you get through taking a shower. The only thing we needed was a can opener, which we borrowed from a neighbor. We plan to rent this condo again if we come back to Sugar!

Perfect Ski-In/Ski-Out Condo for a Couple

The condo was perfect for the two of us. We really liked the nice updates and the ski theme decor. Particularly noteworthy were the 60" and the 40" TVs, stackable washer and dryer, a productive bathroom heater, a host who was very responsive and answered all of my emails in a timely manner, and a beautiful view of the Oma's Meadow slope and lift. The check-in and check-out process was very easy; and the parking was just a few steps from our condo. I extremely enjoyed the location of the condo to the slopes. Very convenient, each morning a short walk to the slope, put on my skis and hit the slopes skiing until lunch. Stop by the condo for lunch/break and be back on the slopes in no time. The only thing I would like to see is a couple of small chairs for sitting around the sofa table to eat at when we cooked meals instead of sitting on the sofa. Looking forward to staying there again next ski season!

It was okay

First and foremost, I will start out with the good.. the host was very responsive and answered all questions I had. I had no issues with getting in touch with the host. The location to the mountain was great, you can literally see the slope from room, and it was an easy walk to the slopes. However, the property was not clean. I feel like it was given a quick pick up rather than a full clean. The shower had used razors in there and pink slime growing on the walls, there was food under the bed,handprints on the mirror above the bed, and the pillows were nasty (not the pillowcase, but actual pillow). I'm a super clean freak and was honestly uncomfortable with my stay. Also, the plug ins everywhere was overwhelming. I know some people might like that, but I didn't.

Great Location, Nicely Updated, Highly Recommend!

The condo has a very convenient location if you plan to visit Sugar Mountain resort. You're located right next to the top of the "Oma's Meadow" trail so it's only a short walk away. The condo is thoughtfully upgraded and includes everything you would need for a short stay. The memory foam bed is very comfortable, the unit was clean, and Brandon was very responsive. There's only a couple of things I found myself wanting (and please note, this is being very picky!) - a full couch so you can lay down fully and stretch out and instructions for the two wall heaters. You would think, "They are heaters. They can't be that difficult to figure out"...but they were. I don't think we ever got them to work the way we wanted the entire time we were there. Other than those two small things, everything else was covered. We had a great stay and would not hesitate to book the unit again.

Don’t Stay Here

This Vrbo was the worst place I have stayed. The sheets were stained (with what appeared to be blood and other bodily fluids), used razors were in the shower with hair on them, the espresso machine had mold in it, etc. The host was very dismissive with all of these concerns when i messaged him which was the main issue overall. When I mentioned the sheets, he assured me the sheets were clean because he cleans the property himself. I suggest maybe looking into a professional cleaning company if this is the case. After mentioning blood on the sheets, he only THEN suggested he could switch out the sheets with new ones. The espresso machine mold was found the second day and the just assured me this is typical and expected for mold to build up in the side where the grounds are dispensed and that he cleans the hopper and water container after every guest. Once again, I suggest a professional cleaning company if you think mold build up is expected in an espresso machine.
