Family country house at the foot of the Black Mountain

For rent for your holidays, country house located in Sorèze.

In a wooded environment, you will have a 3000 m² garden with an orchard, a swimming pool where you will have plenty of time to enjoy and enjoy with your family all day long. Note that in winter 2023 we changed the liner and the safety system of the pool (a tarpaulin with bars replaced the pool enclosure).
On site you will have garden furniture and furniture, deckchairs and shaded areas. A new barbecue is at your disposal as well as outdoor games (molky, giant mikado and petanque balls). A parking space is available for several vehicles in front of the house.

The house comprises a large bright living room of 66m² with a TV lounge, a dining area with a large table and 8 chairs (additional chairs available) and an open kitchen equipped with a gas cooking range, oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and extractor hood in communication with a laundry room/scullery including a washing machine and an annex kitchen (oven, induction hob and fridge). WC is located on the first floor.
A sleeping area on the first floor leads to a master suite with a 160 cm bed, its dressing room and its open shower room with two sinks and toilets; two other bedrooms with a single bed each (a mattress + additional single bed base can be added in each of the single bedrooms) and cupboards; a bathroom with a bath and a shower.

Upstairs is a mezzanine with our offices and then a whole independent space consisting of a bedroom with a 140 bed, a shower room with toilet and a large room with comfortable sofa bed, mini fridge and microwave oven.

A deposit of 1500€ will be requested on arrival and will be returned to you on departure. This amount will not be collected.

In Sorèze, a few steps from the house, you will find a Super U (with gas station) as well as a bakery. There are several restaurants in the village as well as the possibility of home delivery.
In Revel, you will find all the shops (bakery, butcher, pharmacy and supermarket) and its famous market on Saturday mornings 5 minutes by car.

The first hiking trails are accessible on foot from the house which is located at the foot of the Montagne Noire. The summit of Berniquaut overlooks the village and can be reached in just one hour from the house, offering a 360° panorama of the entire region.

The pretty city of Sorèze is located at the foot of the vast forest massif of the Montagne Noire. This village of character grew up around its Benedictine abbey. This listed monument with a prestigious past offers you a museographic tour that will take you from the Cour des Rouges to the Salle des Illustres, from the classrooms to the students' dormitories via the century-old park of 6 hectares which serves as a natural setting for the monumental architecture of this prestigious place. A museum of twentieth-century tapestry opened in April 2015, the Dom Robert Museum, is integrated into the site of the Abbey-School.

The lake of St Ferréol is 5 minutes away by car and will allow you to enjoy the leisure centre where there is plenty of entertainment: you will have access to the beach (supervised swimming in July/August), cycle paths, woods, shaded meadows, the arboretum, various sports activities, tree climbing, mountain bike and mountain bike rental with electric assistance, mini-golf, pedal boat, windsurfing, catamaran, canoe, kayak, trampoline, snack bar, ice cream parlour...
Ideal for spending a day with the family, for a picnic or for a walk!
A place of relaxation, certainly, but historic all the same! The lake was laid out in the seventeenth century by Pierre Paul Riquet to feed the famous Canal du Midi.
At the foot of the Montagne Noire, the basin of St Ferréol is not far from many points of interest such as the Canal du Midi, the medieval city of Carcassonne (40min), the city of Castres (30min), Toulouse (45min) as well as many hiking trails that this mountain range can offer.
