Great Location
Very relaxing and within walking distance of many restaurants and small stores. Need more shade umbrellas for pool. Great to have shared kitchen w/refrig/freezer. Very clean and safe feeling. Loved option of open deck doors or AC. Bed was unusually firm that challenged our older body comfort. It is right on the beach so the sound of the ocean waves is very relaxing. The beach is wonderful for walking in either direction. The pool is one of the prettiest we have seen. We will definitely book here again and recommend it.

Significant noise issues at property ruined are stay and are / were not fully disclosed
RENTER BEWARE, PROPERTY IS LOCATED TWO DOORS DOWN FROM A BAR / EVENT SPACE THAT PLAYS LOUD MUSIC UNTIL 4 AM. DUE TO A LACK OF NOISE INSULATION IN THE UNITS, IT IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY YOU’LL BE ABLE TO SLEEP WHEN THIS OCCURS.
The close vicinity to the space & risk for noise wasn’t disclosed / is why I am documenting this for future guests. We contacted the property manager (PM) that night seeking assistance and got no response for 12+ hours until we followed up the next day with a video demonstrating the noise levels at 2:30a from within the guest rooms.
Also, shortly before arrival, was informed that there’d be ‘a couple of guys doing maintenance work’ during our stay (we were only guests at property). The work turned out to be drilling & grinding with heavy machinery & made it far too loud to relax at the pool or nap.
Dealt with this noise 4 of the 5 days during our stay. When we asked the PM to stop the drilling & grinding, was told they had ‘a massive group arriving on Wednesday’ & ‘had to get done’.
IMAGINE BEING TOLD AS A GUEST THAT THE QUALITY OF YOUR VACATION IS BEING SACRIFICED TO PRIORITIZE OTHER GUESTS IN THE FUTURE.
The last major issue with the property is the low quality, rock-hard beds.
It’s a shame we had these issues, as the property does have a lovely pool & is right on the beach. However, if you value peace & quiet during your beach vacation, the vicinity to the bar & lack of noise insulation creates a large risk for a bad experience.

We are located in the heart "downtown" Troncones. Walking distance to bars!!!
These nearby restaurants and bars have the freedom to host events as they chose. We have no control over a local quinceañera celebration - which was your case.
Yes, you are right. Originally we were supposed to rip and replace some of the floor tiles that had been broken by a previous tenant. It was a supposed to be a relatively easy job. Unfortunately, residential construction is not always that simple. The new matching tile that we bought happened to be 1/16th of an inch thicker than the existing. So we did the right thing and grind it out some extra concrete in order to perfectly place the new tile. Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience that this work caused.
I'm not even going to comment regarding the "insulation" remark; as our compound is made up of bricks, rebar, and multiple layers of concrete.
The beds are subjective; some people like firm beds, some people appreciate soft beds. My wife and I chose to go the firm route...
We wish you well in your travels moving forward.
For future guests; Troncones was a tropical Mexican jungle 30 years ago. And even though there has been some significant development over the last 3 decades - Troncones is very much a Tropical jungle, with local customs and culture - such as a Quinceañera celebration. Be mindful that there is a high chance of immersing yourself into the local folklore of our colorful beach community.

“Hermoso Cariño” is the name of a traditional and popular mariachi song. This particular song is the one that Sharon and I decided to use as our intro to the wedding reception. After the ceremony. We are using the name of this beautiful song - and moment- to name our housing compound.
