This beautiful and secluded 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home which is wheelchair friendly, with a private fishing pond features a large, open concept living room with high ceilings, a wood burning fireplace and direct access to the deck. Our large dining table right near the open concept kitchen is big enough for 8 people. The large kitchen island provides additional seating space. The kitchen comes equipped with plenty of pots and pans, serving wear, dishes, etc. for preparing and serving large family meals.

Master bedroom has a queen size bed and a crib (wheelchair accessible). Bedroom#2 on the main level is ideal for any guests but especially for kids. There's plenty of room to play and sleep with 1 bunk bed-Full over Full, a full-size day bed with a twin trundle and a twin day bed (wheelchair accessible). Bedroom#3 on lower level has a queen bed and a twin bed as well as a portable crib. Bedroom#4 on lower level has a queen bed.

Our game room has a pool table and Air Hockey table as well as a futon and an extra full-size refrigerator.

We had the most wonderful and relaxing stay at this beautiful property. The house offers plenty of space and activities to keep everyone entertained. The heated pool was an absolute blessing during the cooler weather at the end of May, allowing us to enjoy swimming no matter the temperature.The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked with everything you could need, making meal preparation easy and convenient. The hot tub was also the cleanest we've ever experienced at a rental property in over 12 years of traveling.If you're looking for a place to unwind, have fun, and create great memories with family and friends, this is truly an outstanding choice. We would happily stay here again!

I stayed with my entire family at this lovely property in Effort, PA. There were 12 of us in total and we were very comfortable. The home is spacious, clean, comfortable and the amenities are great! The pool was beautiful - well maintained, crystal clear and heated so we were able to swim even after the cool rain came in.The home is stocked with kids toys which was really great as we had kiddos in the house ranging from 10 years old - 6 months old. The game room was awesome. Spacious, fun, full of games for adults and kids. My sister and I spent an hour fishing in the pond on property, we caught and released three fish between the two of us - it was relaxing and very pretty down there with the blooming lotus flowers on the lily pads!Location of the home was great! We were able to find nearby restaurants and attractions easily, with so many things 30 mins or less from the home. Communication with Natalie was quick and and easy.We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home to other guests!

This was our first family trip since my brother’s passing. It truly was the biggest and deepest loss our family has ever experienced. This was the perfect environment for our family to come together and tell our stories about Bobby. There was a lot of tears, but there was a lot of laughter and new memories were formed. The house is secluded the pool and hot tub was a God sent. The little ones were in the pool, in between the rain, The game room came in handy because it did rain 2 of the 3 days we were there, but the hot tub (under the deck) and the games were awesome. The house was nice and clean. We didn’t get to do a lot of fishing because it did rain. We still spent time with each other, and truly enjoyed our time there.

We had a great stay! The house was spotless on arrival, and all the amenities worked perfectly, which made everything easy and comfortable. The host was especially impressive—when there was ice on the driveway, they took care of it quickly and efficiently. Excellent communication and attention to detail. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this place!

Great getaway spot!

Spent a long weekend here with my family, we loved this quiet cabin in the woods, plenty of room with skiing and tubing near by, fireplace was cozy, hot tub was amazing, kitchen was updated and well equipped, we will be back again for another get away!

Well-apppinted, family style home!

Thoughtfully well-appointed, comfortable home, close to skiiing! Had everything you need to cook meals and spend time with family - including a fun kids’ room! Spent some time by the fire, enjoyed the game room. Secluded, wooded setting was nice for walks and watching the snow fall!

This house was just as advertised-the kitchen was well stocked it had everything we needed to make a wonderful thanksgiving dinner and the pool table and air hockey table made it fun for family competition.

Weekend Get-away

Clean and super organized. Everything you can think of is supplied in the kitchen. Some of the mattresses need to be updated though. Our friends and family had a great time!

It started off with power outage in the late evening but the next morning power came back on and host sent electrician to check things out. Great customer service and would highly recommend this quiet location. Would definitely stay there again! Thank you for the extra touch that was provided!!

Thanksgiving

We took our whole family- kids and spouses, 5 grandkids and 2 grand dogs for the long Thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed to pull off the Thanksgiving dinner. The grandkids loved being all together in the bunkroom. The living room/ kitchen areawas plenty big enough for all of us to be comfortable. Property is beautiful and secluded and quiet. The adults loved relaxing in the hot tub after the kids were in bed. We highly recommend this property especially for families.

Great House!

We had an amazing time at this home! Upon arriving, we were surprised to find a gift basket on the counter full of kids toys and other useful things! The owners actually cared enough to remember that we were bringing two young kids with us and surprise them with toys! It was a very nice gesture and incredibly thoughtful! The home was spotless and we were blown away by how everything was labeled, making it so easy to navigate the kitchen especially. If you’re looking for a nice getaway with (or without) kids, I would highly recommend this home. Thank you again Natalie!!

We adored our stay at this property! You’re primarily paying for privacy and amenities- fires in both an indoor fireplace & an outdoor pit (with some wood to start you off), hot tub fully prepared & rearing to go, game room including PAC machine, pool table, air hockey, & more, and a GORGEOUS & fully equipped kitchen! Property has the perfect level of privacy- tucked up in the woods off of the road (up a slight & unpaved incline) and it features a PRIVATE POND! There’s even a picnic table and 2 benches by the water. This property would be perfect for a large gathering and also a great choice if bringing children. In warmer seasons, there’s even a heated above ground pool! Has large deck with grill and tons of seating. There are 3 large comfy couches for ample seating in the main area & 2 huge couches in basement, an 8 person kitchen table & plenty of seats along the island, 2 stand up showers, 2 toilets, & a separate bath, 2 refrigerators, washer & dryer (with detergent provided), multiple TVs, and plenty of parking. The owners are very thoughtful and almost everything you could need is provided! I really love how they send a list of everything included in the property so there is no guess work as to what you need to pack. They were extremely responsive and helpful during all communication. Additionally, we loved the area of the property! There are many great restaurants that are easily accessible, as well as a couple grocery stores and other sights. Excellent property!

Mostly great

The pool table was a major disappointment. It has a huge rip in the felt, right in the middle of the table, which made playing pretty much impossible. There were a few minor things that were broken (a door handle downstairs and a dining room chair) but nothing that hampered our reason for being there Other than that, the house was perfect for our group to party in. Plenty of space. Plenty of beds. The kitchen was well stocked and was put to use. The deck was big enough to play cornhole on and still congregate.

John, there are 2 doors, 1 you can use fine, the other is locked. Not sure why you didn't use the other door. As for the chair, I wish you would have said something so that it was addressed. Instead, you gave us 3 stars but chose not to say anything during your stay. We don't come to the house and sit on all the chairs. We won't know if something is wrong with a chair unless a guest tells us so. Pool table felt can't be replaced on those tables therefore we have ordered a new pool table several weeks ago. Again, reaching out to us would have clarified all of this. Glad you still had a Mostly Great time but your rating hurts us a lot more than you think. I would think mostly great time would be more than 3 stars. Either way, you are welcomed to come back to stay with us. Hopefully the new pool table arrives very soon.

Spacious and relaxing

My family and I, along with our baby, stayed here for a week. There was plenty for space and the environment is very relaxing. It has the feeling of being tucked away but a 5-10 minute drive gets you to town or to shops and restaurants. It’s easy to drive past it though, wish the house # was further out so it’s more visible. The house is pretty old so sometimes the wires would trip. Not a big deal but happened about 3 times during our whole stay. There were a few dead bugs (it’s in the middle of the woods so not surprised about this) and crumbs of chips inside the house when we first got there, and the bedsheets were stained and old. Natalie and Bob were great - very responsive and nice. We had a nice time just hanging out on the balcony and had fun playing foosball and pool in the game room. Quick drive from NYC for a nice r&r with family - we enjoyed our stay and would go back!

Thank you Bree for a detailed review. We take cleaning very seriously and when we see or know of something, we correct it immediately. I wish you would have reached out to me about any issues. I would have definitely taken care of whatever issues you had. We do have a new housekeeper and everyone is instructed to be very detailed especially during this time. I am happy to hear you had a good time and we would love to host you again!

The house is in DIRE need of some TLC! The pictures make the house look MUCH NICER than the house is

The owners are lovely! The location is close to Camelback so that is convenient. My problem is the advertisement vs the reality. It is a WARN DOWN and TIRED house. The kitchen has the old and used versions of what is listed (except for the coffee maker)in the description. The shower is the smallest shower on the planet and the door has trouble closing. The hot tub inside was clean but everything around it is old and in desperate need of an update and scrubbing (even understanding that it is under an outside deck and it is not enclosed). If you will only use this house as a hub to sleep and with the understanding that it won’t EVER live up to the pictures on VRBO, then go for it! Otherwise, keep looking!

Very sad to read this review Sue especially when you did not mention a word to me even though you text me with multiple questions!. The kitchen is a BRAND NEW kitchen with granite countertops. It's only 2 months old and very far from what you stated. Shower-this is what the house has, well 2 bathrooms. We don't advertise a huge bathroom. It's exactly what you see on photos. As for outside, we had 3 feet of snow, ice storms, 20 degree weather. We can't power wash in this weather. The house is in the woods, very secluded, and there are nothing but trees around. It's impossible to keep the outside free of sticks, leaves, etc. As for our photos, not 1 photo is photoshopped and ALL were done by me, not even a photographer. I wish I could post out text messages here for everyone to see.
