Nyd en fantastisk ferie hjem på den nordlige ende af Longboat Key nær Longboat Pass. Dette hjem er beliggende på en dejlig Bayou og på tværs fra den bedste strand på øen. Denne vidunderligt indrettede tre-etagers hjem har opdateret møbler og tropisk indretning overalt med to garager og en screenet i pulje på første niveau.

Ovenpå, på det primære opholdsrum niveau, vil du nyde en åben grundplan med et lyst køkken og morgenmad bar for seks plus en spiseplads og stue. Begge gæst soveværelser og 2 1/2 bade er placeret på denne etage også.

Adgang til store soveværelse suite (tredje niveau) via en vindeltrappe eller elevator og der vil du finde et rummeligt soveværelse med eget bad, herunder have badekar, bruseniche og to toiletter. Gå udenfor til en privat solede dæk under en pergola.

Nyd en kort gåtur til den hvide sandstrand eller svømme i din egen private pool i den screenede i Lanai område. De farverige solnedgange fra din balkon eller på stranden er absolut betagende! Du vil finde en overflod af dyreliv i hele området, herunder fugle, delfiner og søkøer.

Longboat Key er på vestkysten af Florida, tæt på Sarasota og en time syd for Tampa. Eftertragtede Longboat Key har nogle af de mest uspolerede strande i området. Vores adgang er kun en kort gåtur væk (5 minutter) fra vores hjem, hvor du har følelsen af, at du har din egen private strand.

Longboat Key prale af nogle af de rigeste indbyggere, og fineste restauranter i området Sarasota. Fra dette hjem, er det et spørgsmål om minutter til St. Armand cirkel, en shopping paradis. Longboat Key er en ti-mile lang barriere ø fastgjort i hver ende med en bro til fastlandet. Hvis du gerne vil gå til forlystelsesparker - vi er en time fra Busch Gardens i Tampa Bay eller to og en halv time fra Disney og Universal Studios. Perfect Stay

If I was going to pick just one place that's perfect for me in Florida, this would be it. I like quiet, nature and the beach. I loved sitting on the small bench down by the canal. I was having shoulder problems, but the rest of my family used them almost daily. My daughter and I daily walked the short distance to the beach to watch the sunset. Spectacular! I will be back.

Loved It!

Thanks for a wonderful stay. House is exactly as advertised; quite frankly, it was even better than advertised! We loved everything it. Located at the very northern tip of Longboat Key, it is very quiet and private. Heading north, it is just before the drawbridge leading over to Bradenton Beach (which is very congested and busy, but does have the advantages of restaurants and stores). So we found we would more typically head south towards St Armands which is a much prettier enjoyable 15- 20 minute drive. The property itself though is very private and features and great dock on the narrow inlet. Wonderfully quite back there and great place to read or fish. The two included single person kayaks were a surprising highlight for us. A few minute paddle up the inlet and you are right into the bay where you can head over to the sandbars to hang out or let the dog (who also loved the kayak!) play in the shallow water that stretches very far out. The house was very clean and had no smells at all (which is always an turnoff for us). It was equipped with everything we could have needed including the fully stocked kitchen, bath and beach towels, beach chairs, games, books, great wi-fi connection. We had only one tiny issue that I needed to call the house property manager about, and she was very friendly and helpful. This was our first house rental and we were a little nervous about the experience versus a hotel (would it be as advertised, clean, comfortable, appropriate, worth it, etc.???) and this vacation and experience has made me us converts! Cant wait to come back to Longboat Key, and will definitely stay here again.

Great vacation home

We spent one month in this nice, comfy house. It is well stocked with kitchen items, bathroom and beach towels, and beach items. The third floor master bedroom suite is bright and roomy. The outdoor terrace is great for reading and sunbathing. The pool is great for cooling off. The surrounding neighborhoods are pleasant to walk through and the beautiful beach is a 5-minute walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Time in Longboat

This house was perfect for our family. It has plenty of space and great amenities. Our kids loved the pool and dock. It’s within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Simply Outstanding

There is absolutely nothing negative that I can say about this rental. The location was great...walkable to the beach, Whitneys, Mar Vista, Shore, etc. The house was incredibly well-stocked...literally everything you could imagine you might need, from kitchen to pool. The master suite was the entire third floor with a private deck and a nice separation from the rest of the house. The owners have put together an entire binder of menus, recommendations and the history of LBK. On top it, the house manager was extremely nice and welcoming. Loved it.

Peaceful

It was so peaceful here at the house! You can't really see any neighbors because of the beautiful landscape. My family had a blast on the dock and in the swimming pool. Well be here again!

Disappointing

Obviously this house has some water incursion problems. We had to walk through deep, muddy water to enter the property, the area littered with dead palm fronds - landscaping non-existent. Not a good first impression. The listing shows a beautiful upstairs deck and two garages, none of which were available to us, evidently due to a roof leak. We weren't informed of this ahead of time. One of the garage ceilings (directly under our bedroom) was soaked and black with mold. Perhaps that is why we were all coughing....... The doors to the deck were locked and messily boarded over with a piece of broken plywood. One of the downstairs bedrooms (the one we used) had water pouring in the window right next to the bed, the blinds stained from previous leaks. We had to stuff a towel in the window to keep it from splashing on the bed. Two buckets in the laundryroom caught another leak. No instructions for the elevator, we had to bumble around to figure it out ourselves. None of the front facing (street facing) french doors had blinds or curtains so it was very difficult to sleep in the mornings or dress/undress in the bedrooms in the evening. The stove and refrig. were dirty and had to be cleaned (by us) before using. Downstairs bathroom mirror was filthy (water and toothpaste residue) as well as the huge and beautiful glass topped dining room table. We had to go out and buy glass cleaner to do the jobs, as well as light bulbs for the chandelier. The garbage bins outside were so crammed with construction debris my husband could barely drag them to the street (as per written instructions) no room for our own garbage that first week. 3 Cockroaches in the second downstairs bedroom - live! The lanai and pool area had to be swept when we arrived, pool had dirt settled on the bottom. The grill provided was so nasty and filthy it smelled. All in all, we feel this house was not ready to be rented. I emailed the owner about these concerns weeks before writing this review - but had no response. This home was not inexpensive by any standard. The house could be a lovely place. It's setting is great, the living flow was good for us all, etc, but certainly not what we've come to expect from our VRBO rentals in the past. All in all, a very disappointing experience....our first in many years of renting properties over the holidays. Wouldn't use this home if this was considered "ready for rental"

Excellent Vacation

Wonderful Vacation. Owner had beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, everything you would need for a comfortable visit to the beach. House was great and accommodated our family beautifully. Perfect location on Long Boat Key! Thank you

Beautiful and relaxing

We had a wonderful stay at the Beach House. The home was well-appointed as well as comfortable. The kitchen had every appliance one could need. The pool was an added plus. With the beautiful large beach a comfortable couple blocks away, we spent many hours walking, collecting shells, and enjoying very few other people compared to other local beaches. Also the elevator was very handy with moving in the suitcases. We also enjoyed the many restaurants on Longboat Key as well as Anna Marie Island just over the bridge. Thanks Ellen and Kevin for sharing your home and allowing our dog to be part of our vacation.

Awesome experience!

A truly fantastic vacation. House was clean, roomy and well stocked. (elevator was very cool).Great indoor pool with grill. Close to some great restaurants and shops. A short ride (or even walk) to numerous places to boat, parasail, jet ski, etc. We especially enjoyed the beautiful sunsets on the pristine beach. Saw a few dolphins too! Kevin you were very accommodating and made planning this a breeze. We'll be back.

Better than expected

Our best vacations ever. Beautiful house, well stocked kitchen, great pool and huge master bedroom. Secluded location with short access to the best beach in the area. We loved Longboat Key and the neighboring islands. We will definitely come back. Thank you Pam for being so accommodating with us!

Highly recommended!!!

Had an amazing week here! Beautiful beach home, great kitchen and family room! The master is tremendous and private, with large bathroom and great balconies. Grill and swim while awaiting the magnificient sunset on nearby Whitney beach! Transportation was a walking block away and convenient for going up and down the key, ie. down to St Armands circle. Many great restuarants nearby, favorites include the Mar Vista patio for dinner, and Euphemia Haye for coffee/desert upstairs. Enjoy!!

simply fabulous!

pulling up to the beach styled pink house was just the beginning of our fabulous vacation. this house was more wonderful than we had expected. the house is so warm and welcoming with all the beach like touches. extremely clean and updated, very spacious! we loved grilling, while swimming in this sparkly in ground pool, a vacation must! the beach was just a short and fun bike ride away, we were often greeted by wild peacocks and their peachicks, very cute! along w bikes, the owners had floats and umbrellas available for the beach. we also enjoyed the short walk to the bus and trolley, which took us to the mote aquarium and many times to shopping and restuarants, .75 cents to ride. the kitchen was huge and had everything that i needed for all meals. this house is by far our most favorite vacation rental, we will be returning in oct. for some more amazing sunsets and swimming with mamatee!
