Hi Steve, Sorry about the birds. They got through an area of the screen on the soffit and made a nest. I didn’t have the heart to move or kill the babies so was waiting to repair the screen in the spot they went in until they left. My apologies and thanks again for staying

We are sorry the property did not meet your expectations. However, I do want to clarify a few points for future guests. Our listing clearly states that the rental is the main house, and the boathouse is a separate structure on the property. In all of our years hosting, this is the first time a guest has mistaken the boathouse for the main home. Unfortunately, our very first interaction began with you belittling me upon your arrival because you believed the boathouse was the rental. Despite being spoken to in that manner, we remained courteous and did everything we could to make your stay enjoyable. When you asked about watching the soccer game, my wife personally drove to the property and downloaded the appropriate app so you could watch it. We also offered you a full refund and the opportunity to find other accommodations if you felt the property was not what you expected. You declined that offer and chose to stay. Additionally, we accommodated your request for extra parking by allowing vehicles on the lawn for overflow only. Instead of using the available driveway spaces first, multiple vehicles were parked on the lawn. When we politely asked that the driveway be used before parking on the grass, our message went unanswered for two days. We work hard to provide every guest with a great experience, and our many positive reviews reflect that commitment.
