The house was close to the lake, activities & restaurants, but still secluded & quiet. We had a great time and plan to book again.

Property was clean and nice. Very quiet area but not too far away from all the attractions. The only issue we had was the well water smelled like sewage.

Great rental! Very homey. Clean! We loved it, our dog loved it!Our only complaint.. Well water… was used in their water system. An odor came with the use of water.

Enjoyable seclusion

Excellent property. Interior was well decorated for that "cabin" feel. The house was located in the "woods" but not far from things to do and close to the lake.

Would stay here again, great place!

This property is tucked back for privacy but close to everything! Very clean, and the decor was impressive! We loved our stay and will definitely rent this home or from Taylor again. Super comfortable and relaxing. Especially enjoyed a fire both nights!

Rainy weekend at Deep Creek Lake

The property was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the beautiful scenery. We found many enjoyable places to visit in spite of the rain.

Wonderful home for a getaway!

We loved the home and it’s location….wonderful layout for two families (two couples and three teens). Home had a great layout…lots of places to gather and enough space to retreat as well. Great location for restaurants and skiing at Wisp. We want to come back in warmer weather to make use of the outside decks and fire pit. Highly recommend.

Great stay

Close to town, the lake and hiking. The house was clean and well supplied. Slept 4 adults very well. It may be a little tricky with small children because the twin beds are on lowest floor with a door to the outside. Just a consideration. We enjoyed our stay.

This was a nice property except for the smelly sulfur water and tha lack of response when I responded to a survey received on our first day asking how things were going so far - I gave a thumb down and received a message that someone would reach out to me right away....We are now back home and I still haven't been contacted. My husband located the water softner and noted it was out of salt. When no one responded, he loaded it and cycled it but the smell still did not go away. Other than that, this was a very nice private setting, the hot tub was clean and relaxing, rooms were nice with TVs in each and beds were fairly comfortable. The kitched was stocked with plenty of dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker, Keurig, expresso machine, toaster, and many other small appliances. It was a bit cooler than usual for August when we were there. There were no blankets beyond a thin comforter and a sheet on each bed. Perhaps they add more blankets in cooler months, but thought I would note that in case your crew would need/want extra layers for sleeping or lounging on the couch you should bring your own, as they apparently don't come with the place. Booking, check in, and check out were fine.

Relaxing stay in the forest

My family (7 people with one infant) had a very comfortable stay at this property over a summer weekend. We enjoyed eating on the deck. It was very serene and private, but also extremely close to the lake and everywhere we wanted to go. Our only gripe is that the knives in the kitchen were quite dull and three people cut their fingers during our trip, and we would have liked an additional cutting board for cooking. Be sure to bring your own salt, pepper, and cooking oil. However, all in all this was a wonderful stay!

Meant To Be

Overall, the house was wonderful! Well stocked with household items, plenty of space, cute decor, good location, comfortable! Only complaint is that only 1 out of 3 televisions were hooked up to cable. We called the realtor and 2 days later a person came out to the house. The man wasn’t able to figure out the issue.

Family vacation

Although the home was clean and we loved the outdoor area, we were disappointed in a few things that we were not expecting. My son loves to fish so wanted to bring his boat and after looking at several places before booking, i felt this one had the best parking option for this. The description of the property did not state that parking for boats was not available as this is a property for the deep creek lake area, i assumed that parking the boat there would not be an issue. After arriving we were informed that he would have to park the boat and trailer in an area 15-20 minutes away from the house. This was a hugh concern for my son and he was very uncomfortable with this. We were informed that this was somewhere in the rental agreement as a part of HOA agreement and it may have been but this was a specific area of concern when I was looking for a place to stay with my family so I would like to see it listed in the description so it is known before booking. The only other issue was the upstairs bathroom shower (the bathroom attached to the bedroom) the water was warm only . We were never able to get the shower hot so had to take our showers in the main floor bathroom that we intended for my son and DIL. We loved the firepit area and spent alot of time there.

The perfect place to stay for a family getaway!

Cozy, comfortable and tucked away making it the perfect place to stay for our family's getaway. Dog and toddler friendly. They even left out bowls for our dog and had plenty of kid friendly books to read from fireside. The inside was comfortable, spacious, and cozy for family game nights and meals. The outside deck, grill and fire pit made for relaxing evenings as we roasted smores and enjoyed the outdoors. As an added bonus it was only minutes from the lake, boat rentals, hiking, ice cream, and donuts for family fun adventures!
