The property is just as described with plenty of room for people to spread out or gather together. The kitchens are well equipped for feeding a large crowd. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub! The walk to the beach is close and easily navigated. The only detriment I can think of is the laundry, which is located downstairs. It would be nice if there was a walkway provided to get to the washer and dryer without having to walk on the dirt/gravel/sand area. Communication is swift and Danielle and Doug were great at attending to any issues that came up while we were vacationing. Would recommend!!

Overall the house was perfect for our gathering of friends. The house was clean, the view was great and the walk to the beach was short. I would recommend that the grills get replaced. The propane grill was not cleaned and looked like it was time to replace it. The charcoal grill was ok but again needed a cleaning.Stephanie was responsive and attended to our needs.

Extremely disappointed with our stay! We paid A LOT of money for this property, and the condition of the home was absolutely unacceptable. The house looks nothing like the photos advertised on Vrbo, and the cleanliness was DISGUSTING! Dirty comforters and sheets that did not appear to be washed between guests, every single sink was disgusting, dirty shower curtain liners, and even USED sponges left for new guests to use. Both couches were so nasty and smelled musky that we did not feel comfortable sitting on them. One couch cushion was even flipped over where the zipper was showing on the front side because of a stain and they just flipped the cushion. On top of all of this we seen 7 cockroaches INSIDE the home! We ended up taking our suitcases to the car & having to go to the car when we needed something. The issues did not stop there. The grill was unusable, the sliding glass doors were extremely difficult to open and close, and the overall lack of cleaning and maintenance was shocking. These are not minor inconveniences but serious cleanliness, health, and safety concerns.The entire experience was so disappointing that we ended up cutting our vacation short and leaving a day early.For the amount of money this property costs, guests should expect a clean, safe, and properly maintained home. Unfortunately, that was far from what we experienced. We would absolutely NOT recommend this property, especially to families with children. Save your money and book elsewhere!

This house is an absolute gem. Aaron and Stephanie are fantastic, you could not ask for better hosts. This house has great views, great layout and PLENTY of parking which is so difficult to find down there with big houses. Usually, you have a house that can sleep 22 people and have a driveway big enough for 4 cars, but not here. There is a gracious amount of room for parking. The Sandlot offers 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, great hang out area on the back porch, heated pool, hot tub... this house definitely has everything you will need! The Sandlot is a great option for your EI stay!! A

We love staying at the Sandlot! This was our 3rd year renting this cottage and we have already booked it again for summer of 2026! We are a family of 8 adults and 7 grandchildren- the layout of the rooms/ bedrooms is perfect for us. The close proximity to the gorgeous beach is a plus, along with the fenced in pool. We highly recommend this cottage to rent!

Great location

This property is amazing I would recommend all family’s to stay here! A very short walk to the beach which was amazing. The house also was very nice and clean. Dog friendly which made our whole vacation!

We had the most amazing vacation here! The whole place is extremely calming, with a superb pool and hot tub that made it feel like a true getaway. The walk to the beach couldn’t be easier, it’s right on one of the best stretches of beach, and the lookout is so extraordinarily beautiful. One of the highlights was the master bedroom, you can literally see the beach right from the bed, like something straight out of a movie. Everything about this place is spectacular. We felt so cozy, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. Hands down one of the best stays we’ve ever had.

Family experience!

We were able to spend an amazing week with my children and grandchildren. Weather was beautiful, spent everyday at the beech and the pool. Laughs, good food, great views, wonderful home and Awsome experience. Highly recommend and we will look to stay at this home ago. Thank you

Spring break vacation

We had a wonderful time. The location couldn’t be better. Quick drive to town easy access to the beach very clean, updated amenities. It was so nice. We felt like we had our own space.

Awesome Beach House!

This was the perfect place for our family! We used the decks, pool and beach access every day. Having two kitchens was ideal since we have a family member with an extreme food allergy. Beautiful location and we enjoyed awesome sunrises and sunsets throughout the week.

Beach Wedding

The home is beautiful and comfortable. Master suites have an incredible view! Spent a lot of time in the pool (heated) and hot tub. Plenty of room for everyone (10 adults) to live comfortably for 4 days. Kitchens were well equipped and plenty of bath towels provided.

We spent a week at Sandlot. Excellent location. The views from the decks were fabulous. The pool and hot tub was an added bonus. Plenty of space for our group. We breakfast on the west side and dinner on the east side. Our only suggestion is need better cookware. Bigger frying pans and updated cooking pots and storage bowls with lids. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Emerald Isle.

Beautiful home kid friendly

The home was very clean , and just steps from the beach , the heated pool and Hottub was awesome! The only thing I would suggest is that you bring dish towels and maybe a few bath towels and rags, there wasn’t many of those. But we had an amazing week and would definitely go back!

Sun, Sand, and Surf

Thank you, Stephanie, for a wonderful vacation in your beach home. We all thoroughly enjoyed everything, from the fantastic communication, your generous hospitality, and the well appointed (and extremely comfortable) accommodations. The heated pool was worth every penny, the hot tub was a huge hit, the rocking chairs were loved by all, the gates were certainly appreciated with a toddler, and the proximity of the beach couldn’t have been any better! We hope to return again soon 😊
