Our home is right on Wells beach. Wake up every morning with a 180 degree ocean view from your ocean facing deck and living room. This home is the ultimate in beach convenience. Wake up to sunrises over the ocean and enjoy family fun on the deck as you watch the sun set. Well stocked kitchen with all the utensils allows for eating in and the central location of this home allows for quick access to all the great local restaurants. Wells is getting more and more popular each summer. The number of homes that offer this degree of beach access and ocean views is shrinking every year as owners convert rental homes to private homes. Excellent location! This lovely home was right on the beach; an easy walk to town or to the pier and dunes. A beautiful location to for a morning run on the beach as well as to see the sunrise and even a glimpse of the sunset. A pure delight to not have to worry about parking or lugging stuff down the beach!The interior of the home was mostly clean and a good size for a family of four or five. The couches, cooking pans, towels, and bed in the "main" bedroom (very squeaky and uncomfortable) could use an upgrade along with the shower drain. Also, a very large (and loud) family stayed next door who took over all the outdoor space. However, it didn't damper our stay - we had a great weekend and would be very happy to return for a future visit! We definitely recommend this rental!

Super appreciate the recognition for our homes “Excellent Location!” Our place is directly on Wells Beach. Convenience to the beach couldn’t be better. You definitely can watch the sunrise/sunset over the ocean every day. Our place is also walking distance to Forbes for ice cream and breakfast, lunch or dinner as well as an arcade for the kids and two gift shops. Our sleep sofas on the first floor are both American Leather. Often cited as one of the most comfortable sleeper sofas on the market. All the beds in our place are less than 10 years old. Towels are provided and on the newer side. This close to the beach (beachfront) is very popular. The houses are close. There are neighbors and kids enjoying their vacation. We have a 10;00 pm quiet hour rule to keep it quiet for bedtime. This unit has an oceanfront deck with unobstructed ocean views that is solely for the guests that stay here. We check in with our guests during most stays. Had this guest responded to our check in email, we could have had our plumber down to address the slow shower drain. Nonetheless, we did get him down to the house and shower drains as it should. Glad to hear this guest “definitely recommends this rental” and “would be very happy to return for a future visit”

Great place to stay right on the beach! Beautiful views and had everything we needed. The walls are a little thin between this unit and the one next door, but it wasnt too bad. Definitly take a look outside after dark on a clear night to see all the stars!

The location is spectacular! Right on the beach and close to amenities. The house is older and the walls are pretty thin, so if someone is staying in the adjoining unit, it can be pretty loud.

Appreciate the "Spectacular" description of the location of our home. Waking up to unobstructed views of the sunrise over the Atlantic is special. Also Appreciate the "Right on the beach" compliment. The convenience of being this close to the beach is definitely worth mentioning in a review. Great for families and beach walkers who want to skip crossing streets or packing up the minivan to head down to the beach (from non beach side lodging.) Our home has been nicely updated. Our pictures are recent and depict our home exactly as it is. The house is a side by side two unit (each side has phenomenal ocean views and each side has a deck specifically for the guest on that side). My family and I have stayed at this unit for our week in the summer. We did'nt find our neighbors on the opposite side to be a problem. If your looking for a beachfront property that offers a good price point for this amount of convenience, we are happy to have you as our guests...

Had a wonderful time. Just love being right on the beach. We have been coming up to Maine for the last 29 years and if we can rent a place on the beach we will. And we did and it was very comfortable. We will book again.

The place was clean, spacious and had everything we needed - all kitchen utensils and small appliances, to basic bath items such as hairdryers.The views are phenomenal, and access to the beach doesn't get any easier. The location is ideal, close to the grocery store, restaurants, and yes, the beach.The host and local manager were friendly, gracious and accommodating.

This house was beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, right the beach and close local attractions and restaurants. The host was fantastic! Location on beach and views were stunning. Hearing the constant sound of the surf was amazing. House was very clean. Communication with host was excellent. We didn’t realize at booking process we had to request towels and linens, but after communication with host they were delivered within 45 minutes. Wells Beach is incredible and we truly enjoyed our stay here, including daily walks on the beach.

Couldn’t get any closer to the beach! Wonderful sunrises, plenty of beach toys, great fun for our 4 year old grandson. The only issue for us seniors was the solitary first floor bathroom! Otherwise heavenly.

April Getaway

The property Was beautiful. The manager was responsive to all questions and concerns before trip and during our stay. One thing to note is, if you’re traveling with more mature adults, the stairwell upstairs to the second floor for living space is steep and narrow.

My family and I have been vacationing at Wells Beach for the last 15-20 years. We do enjoy the family atmosphere at this beach. Before purchasing 131 Atlantic, we stayed at all the motels and hotels along Rte 1. The daily vacation drama of will we find a parking spot by the beach and packing up the car and being careful not to forget anything as we'd have to drive back to get it - (and risk losing our parking spot) was not really fun. We started staying right by the beach and our stress levels decreased dramatically. Everything about Wells in the summer is fun (see Congdon's Doughnuts, Billy's Chowder House, Mikes Clam Shack, The Steak House and even Dairy Queen). We take a lot of pride in our home and constantly look to upgrade.

If you want the positively best Wells Beach experience, then stay right on the beach. This home is the ultimate in convenience and experience. You can watch the tide come in and go out from the deck or living room. Watching the sunrise and sunset over the ocean from your comfortable chair on your deck is absolutely therapeutic. This home is also strategically located between Public Way #2 and Public Way #3. The distance from both can decrease the potential for crowds that is sometimes seen right at the exit of a Public Way. The location of this home is absolutely amazing.
