Welcome to lake living in Livingston County, MI! At the heart of it is, The Huron River Chain of Lakes. It is a dream come true to a die-hard lake lover. It is home to an eight-mile connection of nine lakes: Big Portage, Little Portage, Baseline, Zukey, Strawberry, Whitewood, Gallagher, Ore, and Tamarack Lake.
Our beautiful lake house is located on Strawberry Lake, which is on the eastern edge of the chain and offers beautiful lake views of the sunrise each morning! Our home will comfortably sleep 5 or 6 adults and up to 9 if you have children who don't mind sharing a bed/space. The home is fully furnished with everything you would need for a short or lengthy stay (including washer and dryer). It is ready for you and your family to make new memories at the lake! This home is perfect for kids and adults who love to be outside and enjoy the water!
Our lake home offers a variety of activities to keep your family and friends entertained. We have 4 Adult kayaks and a 1 child sized kayaks that you are more than welcome to take out on the lake as long as you take safety measures and use the life-jackets provided for you located in bin next to kayak. We also have a pond on the property filled with gold fish. Please be cautious as there is no fence around the pond and please no fishing our pond.
If you are wanting to venture out away from the lake, there are plenty of State Parks nearby to explore. Both Brighton Recreation Area and Pinckney Recreation Area offer excellent walking/biking trails among other outdoor activities. The beautiful Lakeland Trail is a few minutes away and is perfect for that morning run or evening bike to Cap’n Frosty’s Ice Cream, or visit Hell, Michigan just 15 minutes away.
Our pontoon boat is not included in the rental, but you're welcome to bring your own boat. The nearest launch is Lakeland Marina, about a mile up the road, with a $10 launch fee. If you’d like to rent a boat Wonderland Marina and N&K marina rents them out.
Docking is available for your boat at our lake house, perfect for exploring the beautiful Huron Chain of Lakes.
We allow dogs (max 2) for an extra fee. Please keep them on a leash at all times on our property and off the furniture. Don't forget to clean up after them outside.
Our home is conveniently located close to US 23, I-94, and I-96. Also located nearby are beautiful towns such as Howell, Brighton, South Lyon, Ann Arbor, Dexter, and Chelsea. We would love for you and your family to make wonderful memories and enjoy our beautiful lake home as we do. We look forward to hearing from you and Keep Calm and Live the Lake Life!

This was such a great home for our family for the weekend. We enjoyed sitting by the lake and the kids loved using the kayaks and getting in some fishing! The host was wonderful to work with and generously accommodating! Even our dog loved the house!

I rented this property for my relatives visiting from North Carolina. They don’t have many lakes down there. I live locally and went over to spend time with them every day they were there. We made good use of the kayaks and had a wonderful trip through the chain of lakes. Everything was nice and clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. My nephew was able to do some fishing and my niece totally enjoyed her time sitting out on the dock in the evening. I will definitely rent this property again as it is only 10 minutes from my house and I frequently have relatives visiting. I very much recommend this Little piece of heaven!

We absolutely loved our recent stay at this place! It was cozy, clean, and very well-priced. The host was warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive throughout our stay. The outdoor area was lovely – a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. One of the highlights for us was the beautiful lake and having access to kayaks, which was such a great bonus. Family Time

The property was absolutely wonderful for me and my family. We brought our 5 month old up to visit with family for the first time, while on leave from the military. Michelle answered all questions in a VERY timely manner, and the house had everything we needed, I will absolutely be booking again.

Wonderful lake with kayaks. Comfortable and well stocked house. Host was very kind to offer a late check out. We would stay on Strawberry Lake again, especially during week days. The lake was quite busy with "cruisers" on the weekend which made kayaking less enjoyable.

Wonderful place, super location, and great hostess!

We booked a last minute trip to get away and do some fishing. The house has everything you need and so much more! Convenient access to the water and multiple lakes. Michelle's communications were timely and very helpful. She's a friendly and delightful person. We had a great time, caught lots of fish, and will go back again!

Father son trip

House was nice and clean, furniture was great with the exception on the bunk beds were very noisy and not very comfortable for adults. Well equipped kitchen with everything you should need. Right on the lake with a nice dock for the boat, plenty of bluegill fishing right off the dock and good bass fishing throughout the lake.

We had stayed on the property for two weeks. It's a comfortable three-bedroom house which was enough for the four of us. The house had everything needed. Plus kayaks which we used almost daily. And a small pier which we used for fishing and occasional swimming. The hostess - Michelle took a good care of us. She even offered a ride along the lake chain on her motor boat which we really enjoyed. And put fresh flowers for us. The property and the whole area is very quiet and picturesque. It's close to several state parks. So, it's an ideal place for nature loving families looking for a quiet vacation.

We were there to see people in Ann Arbor. We didn't really stay at the property except to sleep.

Easy access, would be nice in the summer. The kitchen was well equipped. Michelle answered out question very quickly.

Very very busy channel location with lots of boat traffic…could barely see actual lake from back deck. Adequate interior but very dated and outdoor grill was filthy. I was extremely disappointed in this listing and decided not to stay.

Great Outdoors

Property was even nicer than the pictures. The yard at the back of the property is huge! Great for Kids and bags playing! Catch fish right off the dock. Bass. Bluegill. And even a few Northern. Watch the kids running around the yard as adults can sit on the deck or in the yard at many times of the day in the shade of some very large trees. Swam right off the dock as well. But the ladies liked floats to stay above the Weeds. Although it dropped off quickly to a weedless area… The Kayaks and Canoe were great for the adults and kids. The River to the right of the cabin has a current and is great for fishing with the canoe and Kayaks… Rented a pontoon boat at Wonderland West which was a great time and wish we would have had the boat even longer. Would love to explore the Chain of Lakes more.. Had several fires in their fire pit which was enjoyable at night. We had no negative commmets about the property. With one Full Bathroom it sleeps 6 comfortably (4 adults 2 kids). The inside decore is great for a Lake Cabin and very comfortable. Providing. Fire Wood. A few fishing poles. Canoe. Kayaks. Life vests. Washer and dryer. And all the necessities in a kitchen were all well thought out details. We would rent again at the same place and just rent a boat longer… Michelle was very attentive via emails, but not intrusive at all and wanted to make sure we had a great trip..
