The Haven - Kiamichi Mountain Riverside Cabin

The Haven is a riverside cabin nestled in the Kiamichi Mountains on the banks of beautiful Little River. It’s a remote location and serenity at it's best. NO PETS ALLOWED!

The Haven has two bedrooms. One has a queen bed and one has a twin bunk bed. The living room is equipped with a sleeper sofa. The Haven also has a fully furnished kitchen, a walk around deck, separate riverside deck with table, fire pit, and a picnic area. The Haven is located right on the river, which has black bass, small mouth, bluegill, and some catfish perfect for Spring and Summer fishing or kayaking for the whole family. Kayaks are provided no extra charge. Firewood for fire pit is also provided no extra charge. In order to keep our cabin as clean as possible for every guest no pets are allowed at the Haven.

It’s located 20 miles from Clayton, OK, 42 miles from Antlers, OK, 63 miles from Hugo, OK, 35 miles from Smithville, OK, and 49 miles from Hochatown, OK.

Beautiful… Peaceful… Relaxing… Best way to sum up this piece of paradise! Within 10 min of arriving we decided we were coming back soon! Morning coffee on the deck with the sounds of the water nearby was the perfect way to start the day. Our 3 day stay turned into four. Best anniversary trip! Host was amazing! They even dropped us up stream to kayak our way back. Can’t wait for our next stay!

The Haven is amazing. The cabin was very clean and had everything I needed. It has a multi zone A/C system so comfort level for each room can be controlled separately. This is a secluded property with private access and plenty of personality. I spent several hours looking at places in a broad location across multiple states. Trust me when I tell you that this is the best deal you will find for all this place has to offer. Do yourself a favor and book The Haven, you can thank me later.

Awesome getaway

This place is exactly as described. It was beautiful and peaceful. The owners were friendly and helpful. It was clean and well stocked. We went fishing and used the kayaks. We hope to go back one day!

Relax along the bluff

We sat outside under the covered porch talked about life and enjoyed the sounds of the birds chirping, the River rushing, peace and quiet. Beds were comfortable. We slept almost 12 hours. We fished, saw the orange-throat darter, big green stink bug, turtle and geese. Played games of uno and watched TV.

What a great long weekend

Everything is just as pictured and the use of the kayaks on site even made our stay batter. The hosts were friendly and helpful which is always nice. The river was low due to no rain but we still enjoyed ourselves. The hot days let me get a good nap on the comfy couch.

Amazing Getaway

We had the best time at this property. The peace and serenity are second to none. We woke up to the babbling river, fished all day, and dined under the bright stars at night. We will be back. We left our hearts here.

Perfect starry night

This remote cabin is a hidden gem! You get the beauty of nature and star gazing but the cleanliness and modern amenities in the cozy cabin. The hosts were so helpful and kind. Our family loved this place!

Great place to get away

We loved The Haven. I wanted to get away from the city and work and this was the perfect spot. The cabin was perfect for us and the kitchen is great. Heather was a great host and was very easy to communicate with. Make sure you bring water shoes if you plan on playing in the river as it has a rocky bottom. My favorite part was mindlessly floating on the river and listening to nature.

great experience

This is a great place to stay. It is literally the cleanest property I have ever stayed in (hotel, cabin, etc.). The fire at night, the porch facing the river in the morning, and the kayaks on the river were all very fun. Cal and Mosey were such great hosts and seem like really amazing people.

Beautiful cabin, great location for some R&R

My family and I loved it. Owners brought us kayaks and a canoe which we used everyday. We caught 3 perch, 3 black bass, and 1 large mouth bass. We plan to go back!

Amazing place to unplug and just great away

We couldn't have picked a better place to spend the long weekend. The cabin, location, and scenery was absolutely perfect. Quiet, very secluded, and the stars at night topped it all off. The hosts were incredible, and if you forgot anything, they had extras waiting at the cabin already. It was exactly what we were looking for.

Beautuful, peaceful cabin

Everything was good. The area is beautiful, but rather remote. The owner communicated ahead of time about the cabin, to make sure we brought ice as the closest store is 25 minutes away. She also dropped off kayaks for us to use. The cabin itself is very comfortable and clean. The owners put some effort into creating lovely paths and areas around the cabin.

Small but cozy and beautiful!

It’s not a very big cabin, but it was nice and warm and cozy. The property is beautiful, with great views and a cool little trail. Fire pit and nice deck looking over the river. The house is equipped with all you need and the owners are very responsive when it comes to communicating.

The Haven...great cabin

I have stayed in 13 cabins in southeastern Oklahoma during the past 16 years. The Haven is one of the nicest cabins for sure, super clean and stocked with everything one might need during a visit. Best feature of this cabin is that it sides on the bank of Little River. Hope to make another visit in the near future. Gary D.

Wow.

We all loved this place! Absolutely beautiful. Heather let us check in early, and check out late. Loved the kayaking and river. Was a big hit with the whole group. We were already making plans to come back again.

My husband was not sure about this place when I told him how far it was from where we normally stay but the views and the quiet changed his mind we are already talking about our next stay and staying longer the next time it was amazing and clean all questions were answered quickly and everything we needed was taken care of I would definitely recommend it

River Oasis

We cannot say enough great things about this property. It was extremely clean and communication with the host was beyond expectations. The house is cozy and has everything you could possibly need. There are so many small details within the house that made our stay exceptional-candy dishes, children’s books, games, cozy blankets, plenty of towels, the list goes on. The outside spaces are really what made the trip for our family. Our kids spent the majority of their time playing in the river, fishing, canoeing, and exploring every inch they could. Having s’mores every evening in the fire pit, calm mornings on the deck, and clear starry nights will add to the list of memories we made on this trip. We truly loved the entire “Haven” experience.
