Traditional Mountain Cabin minutes from Kooser Lake and Hidden Valley Resort

Make this family and pet friendly traditional rustic cabin your next getaway. Enjoy this 3 BR, 1BA cabin with exceptional outdoor deck and fire pit located 1.5 miles from Hidden Valley resort. Kooser Lodge is tucked away off Route 31 so year round access is possible even in the snowy months between November 1 to March 31st. This cabin is literally walking distance to Kooser State park (fishing, hiking paths and swimming area) and Sullivan's Bar Restaurant (known for outdoor dining and live music).

Please note this cabin sits at approximately 2700 feet elevation. Guests MUST have AWD/4WD to stay here from Nov 1-March 31st. Guests that fail to abide by this advice will get stuck and be disappointed.

Security: For the safety or our guests and the protection of the property against criminal activity, all guests understand that there are exterior security cameras located at the front and rear entrance of the cabin to monitor access/egress and driveway areas. Security cameras are in use 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Guests should not remove, disturb, modify or damage any part of the onsite security system. IF this occurs it will result in the loss of security deposit or added charges, which ever applies.

Nice location. Amazingly hot water. Close to Highlands Golf Course. Donegal and Somerset are both easily accessible. Very pet friendly.

Everything was fine and we enjoyed our stay. Worked out great with our 2 small dogs, close to parks for walks in the morning. Only thing I would change is brighter lighting inside especially in the kitchen. Rather dark trying to cook. Overall great place for the week. Thank you.

The house was so cute and full of charm. It had enough bed space for our party and dog! We loved how close it was to seven springs and it made our weekend relaxing and enjoyable! We hope to be back!

Nice getaway

We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. Close to great hikes in the area. Super cozy cabin with everything you could need to enjoy your time.

The cabin was infested with mice and hornets/wasps. Over 50 wasp/hornets flying into the walls on the outside and over twenty five killed inside.

We did not hear from you at all during your stay, despite the numerous means of communication provided (Vrbo messenger, owner/local contact phone numbers and emails). The property was checked prior to your arrival with no issues reported, so saying the cabin was "infested" is exaggerated. When our team arrived after your stay they did find a few mice and wasps coming in and out of the wood frame. The property has since been treated to prevent these issues from happening again, but it is not uncommon for there to be occasional wildlife in/around the cabin given the location. We encourage future guests to please reach out to the several provided contacts if there are any issues upon arrival - we cannot fix what we don't know about.

Great location

This property is a perfect distance from both Hidden Valley and Seven Springs. Home is clean and perfect for both small families and large groups. Yard was great for outdoor play.

Great location, house with a cabin feel

Great location, address was accurate. Very nice fully functional home with a cabin feel. Huge porch and pet friendly. A nice firepit and sitting area as well. Very quiet and butts up to the state park.

Nice property

Very cool lodge and nice stay. Only negative is not a lot around the area by way of restaurants or anything to do. That said, quiet place and pet friendly. Good time!

Cabin Feel - fun for girls weekend

Perfect location and pet friendly.

We had a great time at the cabin. The location was perfect for visiting Seven Springs, Kentuck Knob, Falling Water, kayaking and many other outdoor activities. We took the path over to Kooser park with our dogs in the morning. In the evening we played board games and watched movies. I worked a few days from the cabin and the WiFi was stable and never had an issue. The owners were friendly and everything went well.

The walking path to the Kooser State Park makes a great walking path for pets! So, glad you found and enjoyed that. Nice, quiet property close to a great little state park.

Cabin was very cozy, quiet, and had all the imenities including a washer and dryer, whirlpool tub, and wifi internet. The deck was large with tables and chairs and the interior was beautifully decorated to give you the feeling of a real country cabin. The outdoor fire pit allowed us to make mountain pies and toasted marshmallows. The lower path led right to the neighboring state park with a nice lake full of fish. Well worth the money and we greatly enjoyed our time there!
