This oceanfront home is perfect for your next getaway. This home is near many local shops and restaurants, and if you don't bring a boat, you can easily get out on the water with one of the local fishing, boating, or diving charters. It's also a short drive along scenic US-1 to several local attractions, like the Dolphin Research Center, Florida Keys Aquarium, Seven Mile Bridge, Sombrero Beach, and The Curry Hammock State Park. You can also try kiteboarding, windsurfing, shallow-water fishing, and hiking! Relax after a day of adventures in the waterfront pool.

The home has a full kitchen for easy meal preparation and plenty of space for dining inside and outside on the back patio. Stay connected during your stay with cable TV and free WiFi.
  
THINGS TO KNOW

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
1 day notification is required in order to heat the pool. A fee of USD 32 per day must be paid prior to check-in to purchase pool heat for your stay.


Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Relaxing quiet bungalow

Cozy little bungalow with great outdoor living space/ kitchen Seaweed only drawback. Pretty strong odor at low tide. Tried snorkeling at high tide but don't recommend it. Bahia Honda 20 minutes away Key West 1 hr Perfect cozy quiet place for R and R. Would stay here again.

Winter Getaway

We had the best stay in Marathon at this wonderful property. The house was perfect for what we needed and the pool and outside area is a dream. The house is centrally located in Marathon and easy to get everywhere in the Keys. Would absolutely recommend and stay there again!

Beautiful location

This was a beautiful location for our overdue getaway. Home was very convenient to markets as well as trips up and down the keys. Kitchen was well equipped with just about everything from a cheese grater, to drink pitchers, cookie sheets, electric kettle, etc. Bathroom was stocked with little shampoos, conditioners and soaps to get you started. Would suggest another set or two of bath towels so you’re not having to wash towels midweek. We slept in the bigger of two bedrooms and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Lots of spots to stretch out and relax . Pool was perfect. Not the best spot for fishing if you like to fish but the Bridges are not far. The negative is the property management is based out of Oregon? We had issue with TV and only getting 3 or 4 channels. Never was resolved but we ended up driving to Florida City and dropping $200 for a smart TV and used that. HIGHLY recommend to update your TV in the home. Had another issue with the microwave. It stopped working mid-dinner on Wed. Contacted property managers right away. Told them it was not an emergency situation. But they said they would contact locals to set up for them to look at it. They contacted us Saturday late afternoon, our last day so it didn’t matter to us at that point. Every time the property management was contact it was a different person to reply. Very impersonal and annoying. We loved the home over all and enjoyed our stay.

Property awesome. Vacasa itself was beyond horrible

Contacted Vacasa , the property manager, 3 times during my stay. No communication from them at all during Helene. No one came to secure the property , nor did they ever check the property after the storm. They showed total disrespect for not only myself, but above all no concern for the property or it's owner. I have been coming to the Keys since the 70's and have never experienced such lack of concern or communication from a property manager. Was told there would be a local contact team which was never shared with me. Calling an 800 or 888 number ,wherever they were, was obviously not acceptable nor effective.

August Vacation in Marathon

Overall we had a lovely vacation in the Keys and enjoyed having a base in Marathon. However, the property did not fully meet our expectations. It is in a great location, looking out over the Atlantic Ocean. The pool was great, we used the spa and my kids enjoyed the pool toys. Evening meals were enjoyed under the Tiki hut. For awareness, the Tiki hut is looking tired and the seating appears to be old and felt uncomfortable. Electrical wiring for the roof lights should be properly secured. BBQ grill ignition did not work so it had to be lit manually each time. Outdoor kitchen is tired and needs a deep clean. Inside the bungalow, interior redecoration is tired and scruffy we feel and the whole place appears to need a fresh coat of paint. Kitchen was good but lacks a dishwasher for guests with children. No kettle to boil water for hot drinks. Living room furniture is dated and uncomfortable. Bedrooms were fine. We had concerns about fixtures in the bathroom. The sink is not securely attached to the wall, is in danger of coming away completely and should be fixed as a priority. The towel rail and hook near the sink were not fixed to the walls securely and both came away at a first attempt to use towels. We were not heavy handed. On reflection we feel the property was poor value and unless there is a full renovation and repairs, guests are likely to repeat the same comments as us. Unfortunately we wouldn't stay at the property again.

Privacy and spectacular view!

This home is a gem. The bed in the master was very comfortable and the black out shades made it easy to sleep past sunrise. The kitchen is equipped with an ice maker, blender, coffee pot, and Keurig along with plenty of utensils, pots and pans. Having portable beach chairs and beach towels provided was a nice addition. There is tons of storage and hangers for clothing. We were also provided with soap, shampoo, and conditioner, dish soap and ample laundry detergent for the week. The pool/patio area is true paradise. You absolutely can not beat the view. Plenty of seating around the pool and in the cabana along with a table and chairs for eating. There is a tall fence and many trees for privacy. The way that the deck and cabana are set up allow for privacy at the pool from the neighbors behind. We only saw the neighbor next door one time keeping the pelicans off of the dock. We had a couple of small lizard friends out by the pool that kept us entertained. The string lights and pool lights made for a nice place to relax in the evenings. The screened in porch and cabana were awesome for when we had the random rain shower. Having the outdoor kitchen with a refrigerator was handy. Also, the half bath outside is great! We truly couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. We felt right at home and definitely plan to come back here!

Wonderful way to experience the Florida Keys

We stayed at the Blue Water Bungalow for our week long family vacation to the Florida Keys. We appreciated how clean and quiet the property was. It is a shared property in a residential neighborhood. The location is centrally located to many attractions and necessities in Marathon as well as other locations in the Florida Keys. We enjoyed our stay very much and are looking forward to returning to the Blue Water Bungalow!

Absent Customer Support

Beautiful views. However, house is strangely tucked in at the end of a residential street with multiple neighbors and barking dogs. Most concerning was the lack of customer service. No response from property manager or Vacasa regarding pool cleanliness issues. Pool needs some serious maintenance. Living room furniture was very dated and uncomfortable - wicker furniture with outdoor cushions on top of plywood. No smart TV in the house and no bedroom TV's. No dishwasher. Shower floor needs repaired - is missing stone and grout. Limited lighting in parking area made it extremely difficult to unload and load vehicle in the dark.

Perfect, except no spa.

The home was very clean, as other reviews mentioned this is a duplex, however the neighbors keep to themselves, we only ran into them in passing in the parking area. It is a VERY tight space for parking, very short and very narrow, a Tahoe or Expedition would NOT fit, we had a small minivan and barely could exit our vehicle. Everything worked as it should. The pool was heated to 80 degrees after we paid to heat it, one big disappointment was the “spa” it is NOT a spa. When you look at the images of the pool a corner is sectioned off and you would think it is a spa…. The desperation mentions “spa heat included” however it is not a spa, I looked everywhere for a button to turn the jets on and it was nowhere to be found, I called into Vacasa and they said it doesn’t have jets and that the “spa” is just the same temperature as the pool, so I said it’s not actually a “spa” then is it??…. The agent was quiet she didn’t have a response… So that was disappointing, one of the main things we looked for when booking was an outdoor private pool, a spa, and ocean view… The TV we only could get like 5 channels to work but we spent most of our time outside and hopping around the rest of the keys doing activities and going to beaches… Other then that it was perfect, if I wasn’t able to find something else when visiting again I would probably book this place again, it had everything we wanted, except an actual spa

Cute little Blue Water Bungalow

This was a beautiful piece of property. The pool and tiki hut were wonderful. This is a duplex but the pool was private. The beds slept great. It was everything and more of what I was expecting.

The view that this property gives, is second to none! Being in the pool and looking out over the ocean as the sun is setting, is breathtaking.

Good location needs some TLC

Overall good property but needs some TLC. We had issues accessing the property. Took a call to the management company to find out acces to the property is through the patio door no front door. A simple sign would of helped especially when you arrive late at night. There was no hot water in the kitchen. The living room fan did not work. The washing machine did not rinse all the way. The mattress is badly stained. Pillows were awful. The burners on the gas grill are rusted out. The pans and silverware is very old and beaten up. Very creaky sofa, the place needs some updates and a little money spending on it.

Relaxing

Stay was great. Sargassum grasses were a little unpleaseant. View and location was excellent. Living room furniture could use a little upgrade along with the entrance slider door. Was a little difficult to insert the key. Overall we spent 90% of our time enjoying the outside pool and comforts. We would definitely rent again! Thank you!
