This unit is part of a duplex home and sleeps 6. For large families or groups, consider renting both Anchors Away and our sister property, Sandy Shores (property ID 2309488) to sleep up to 12.

Your perfect Cape Cod vacation awaits you in this warm, inviting home. Affectionately named Anchors Away for its nautical decor, our home is situated in a quaint and quiet South Yarmouth neighborhood. Conveniently located to area beaches, restaurants, shops and entertainment, Anchors Away is the ideal destination for your getaway. Massive 6-hole onsite putting green.

Keyless entry welcomes you into a spacious kitchen with seating for 6. Just off the kitchen is the master bedroom, containing a queen bed. The open floor plan guides you to a very large, centrally located living room (21' x 11.5'), where you can relax, unwind, read a book, play games or watch television on the wall-mounted smart cable TV. Business grade internet allows you to stream movies and games on your mobile devices. Two additional bedrooms off of the living room, one containing two twin beds and another containing a twin/full bunk bed, round out this beach house. Each bedroom has a dresser and closet for all of your storage needs. The side door off of the living room provides you convenient access to outdoor patio with seating, a gas grill, and outdoor shower.

Enjoy a short half-mile walk to three of the areas nicest beaches, Parker's River Beach, South Middle Beach, and Smuggler's Beach (Bass River). A half-mile walk in the other direction brings you to restaurants, ice cream, and shops, as well as Skull Island Adventure Golf, which includes mini-golf, driving range, arcade, go karts, batting cages, and kickball. Old school family entertainment at its best!

Exclusions: Wash cloths, beach towels, coffee pods, iron, hair dryer, dishwasher, washing machine / dryer. There are a limited number of beach chairs in the shed for your use.

The property was perfect for our needs, & the host was responsive immediately if I had a question. There was also a binder on the kitchen table with everything we needed to know about the area, things to do restaurants to eat at. This was very helpful to us! The neighborhood was safe & quiet. We would have loved more time to use the putting green out back, but we unfortunately had a rainy weekend. We would stay there again if we had the opportunity. We enjoyed the time we had!

Adorable and close to beaches!

What an adorable place. Roomy kitchen and dining area and a comfy living area made this the perfect size for 2 adults and 4 kids (the outdoor shower is a godsend when 2 of the kids are teenage girls!) Tye decor was super cute and the house is stocked with all the essentials. Super clean. Easy walk to the beaches!

GREAT beach vacation house

My family enjoyed a long weekend at this adorable vacation beach house, and from the moment we opened the front door, there was nothing but classic Cape Cod beach vibes! The cottage was spacious, had comfy hangout space, and was spotless! We walked to the beach and Skipper’s for dinner, mini golf, and Scapicchio’s bakery. Outdoor shower was fantastic—clean and well-done with plenty of towel hooks. The putting green in the backyard was the perfect extra that made our kids tell us this was the best house we’ve ever rented. Young families will LOVE this place!

A great long weekend spot

We booked this house last minute for Memorial Day Weekend. Some of our extended family has a house up the street and we decided it’d be nice to see everyone, but not intrude on their space. Its a very cute place for a long weekend at the Cape. I was pleasantly surprised with how clean and tidy it was when we walked in, and the owner was there to greet us when we arrived. She was very nice and made sure we were happy with everything when we got there. We loved the beach theme through out the house. There was plenty of space to sleep since it was only 4 of us(myself, wife and 2 kids). There is three bedrooms inside but it would be kind of tough if we had two more people with us since the living area is tight. There’s really not enough space to fit 6 people since the couch is small, and the love seat is very small also. We had a rainy day so we stayed inside for part of the day and watched a movie or two with the kids, if there was two more people they’d have to sit in the kitchen at the table. The outdoor area is on the smaller side. The patio furniture is situated for 4 people, not 6. So if you want everyone to congregate outside on a nice evening or even grill out during the day, you’d probably have to get a beach chair from the shed. The backyard is not usable if you have small children that like to run around. If you like to hang outside and play with your kids there is really not enough space for that in the side yard. We have a 10yr old and 7yr old and we were trying to play badminton but it difficult due to the space constraints. It did have an outdoor shower which is nice to use when you get home from the beach. You also have another unit next door that you share a wall with so be mindful of noise. Thankfully we had some cooler days since we went for Memorial Day Weekend. One day was quite humid and the AC units didn’t work too well. There’s an AC unit in the master bedroom and one in the living area. The one in the living area doesn’t produce enough cool air for the two smaller bedrooms. On warmer or more humid nights, it would be difficult to get a comfortable sleep if you or your kids are used to an AC’d household. It’s definitely a nice place for a weekend visit to the Cape, but with no washer/dryer or dishwasher it would be tough to stay longer than that. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, we always love visiting South Yarmouth.
