Wine Country Retreat at Cardinal Hill

Your search ends here. This one-of-a-kind beautiful property is in the heart of North Georgia wine country. It is a completely private apartment and bath. You can walk to Kaya Winery and it is a 1/2 mile to Frogtown Winery. Four other wineries are within minutes. We are situated with the Chattahoochee National Forest and all of its hiking possibilities right in our backyard. A five minute walk to our pond winds through a shady forest trail. The views from this retreat are magnificent in all seasons. Dahlonega, Helen, Sautée-Nacoochee (delightful gem) and Cleveland are all an easy short drive away. Enjoy a relaxing stay with hosts who are thrilled to share the beauty of this property! We can extend the check in/out if the calendar allows, giving you more time at no additional cost!

Many people travel the area on motorcycles or in convertibles/Jeeps in order to experience its beauty. Bicyclists also enjoy the mountain challenge.

There is no end to the activities within close reach: wine hopping, hiking, shopping, restaurants, fishing, rafting. We have provided a variety of resources on what to do in the area.

We are so happy to host you and strive to make this one of your best stays ever! Many guests comment in our reviews that the pictures don't do it justice. Come see for yourself!

We are on-property and happy to interact with our guests, but we are also fine with laying low and giving you privacy. Please note there are stairs in the unit. The bath is ground floor with the apartment above. The apartment is equipped with a kitchenette area. We look forward to seeing you soon!

The hosts were very welcoming, and the accommodations were beautiful! Had an amazing view of the sunset and walking trails through the woods. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, I’ll definitely be back!

Must say that the location is very convenient. It is very close to many cool places in Georgia. I would recommend Helen and they have a very neat antiques shop. Anna ruby falls id not too bad of a drive either. Mrs.Tina was very kind to us and I would recommend a stay with her.

We had an excellent stay at this property. The property was beautiful! The room was clean and nicely decorated. Tina and Jay were fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. The property is close to multiple wineries and hiking as advertised. Everything we wanted to do was in close proximity. We would highly recommend staying here.

This place was above the bar. It was very clean, and the property was so beautiful. Easy to find, and the driveway was very easy to navigate.The doggies were sweet as well. Got to meet the property owner when my Starbucks cup fell out of my car door, and one of the puppies decided it was time to play catch me if you can. Haha. The owner was very sweet and even helped me get the cup. We would definitely stay there again.

It was surprise to see than its Studio! Not 1 bedroom property. Sheets only on 1 bed. Poor communication. Items that owners offered in listing not available (such as baby high chair , toys). Not even one knaif or fork.Nightmare if you traveling with kids. And worst part that I damaged my car because of unclear directions to the lake. The trees on the road and road not clear for driving.... plus its 45' angle and no space for u tern.

Tina was very responsive and check in was seamless. Great location to wineries and KC Bison Ranch. Quiet property. Large bathroom downstairs and small kitchenette is all you need.

Beautiful property and wonderful hosts!

My daughter (teen) and I stayed one night as we passed through on our way home from visiting family close to Atlanta. I wish we had longer to stay! We explored some of the property but would have loved to see more! The room was so clean and comfortable with all amenities we needed. Directions were clear and the hosts were absolutely lovely! We even left with a sunflower bouquet!

Bachelorette overnight stay

Gorgeous Room on Stunning Property

My husband and I spent a night at this amazing property, conveniently located to wineries, hiking, shops, and restaurants. The room is an oasis, replete with a comfortable bed, seating area, and amenities of a fine hotel. We hiked to the pond (on property) and enjoyed the outdoor space with a good book. It is so quiet and reminded us of our time in Provence with the French themed space. Thank you so much for a wonderful getaway!

Great stay! Beautiful property

We visited for a short two day trip to Dahlonega. The room had everything we needed for our visit. The property grounds are beautiful! We enjoyed seeing the alpacas everyday and being able to pet and feed them. The short little hike down the path to the pond was also great! Would definitely recommend staying at this property!

Lovely, relaxing escape

We enjoyed our stay over Christmas. Jay and Tina were so kind to me and my son and we loved getting away from it all, the unreal sunsets and welcoming, relaxing environment.

Peaceful retreat

Wonderful stay at Cardinal Hill cottage. Beautiful views, peaceful atmosphere and alpacas! Tina was a great host and not one detail was overlooked. The place was beautifully decorated and so comfortable! My sisters and I will be back for another visit soon.
