The property was great. The location was ideal for us and the layout worked perfectly. The beach is literally right there and the sand was nice - basically no rocks etc. There was even a surfing contest in front of the house one day during our stay. The sun rises in the morning were awesome from the deck - the adults enjoyed their coffee while watching them. We had no real issues during our stay and Kimber was excellent to work with.Two things to be aware of is that you will want to bring your own drinking water as the water supplier by the city was marginal at best. Also, Friday night the waves washed up under the house and to the parking area. I don't know if it was related to hurricane Isaias or just something that happens from time to time but you may want to park close to the road to keep the water away from your car. Again. this only happened the one night.Overall, we had an excellent time.

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately, the tides can change unexpectedly with tropical systems in the gulf. We always monitor the weather and err on the side of caution and have our guests park on higher ground if there is a chance of higher than normal tidal conditions. We hope that you decide to stay with us again next year.

This is a private home right on the pedestrian only section of surf side beach, as advertised. Overall our stay was ok, but we did have some safety concerns. - the entry door is not secure. We never managed to get it locked from the inside and barely got it locked from the outside on the last day. We messaged the host, who was aware and had a handy man out. I would not consider the lock fixed.- the switched deck lights by the doors on both levels do not work. Host thought the handy man fixed these, but they were not.- the smoke detector is not installed, it’s in the pantry. This was mentioned, but was not addressed.- the party lights under the house do not work. We were told someone took the extension cord so there isn’t lighting underneath.- there was trash at the steps of the home: old sand toys and pvc pipe are things the ocean didn’t bring up and could have been cleaned up prior to our visit.- parking is difficult due to the built up sand, if you don’t have 4WD you will get stuck if you go too far back. You couldn’t fit two vehicles there easily.For the price, we would’ve expected the house to be secure and lighting to be functional. However, it wasn’t a terrible stay. I think the host will address these concerns for future guests.

We are so sorry you had these issues during your stay. All of the lights on the deck have been repaired or replaced. The lights under the house have also been fixed. A new front door is on order and will be installed soon. The smoke detector has been put back up and the other issues have all been corrected as well. I hope this doesn’t deter you from staying with us again. We have some other improvements planned for the house in anticipation for the new vacation season next year and we hope you will stay with us next year and see what we’ve done.

The house and location are great. Home was clean and well-equipped with everything you need for your stay. The host was wonderful about responding to a minor issue we had with a door closure in the upstairs room. It was fixed by a handyman that very evening and did not interrupt our stay at all! Overall, it’s a very comfortable home that fit our needs very well and would absolutely stay here again.

This was the second time we had stayed at the property and it did not disappoint yet again. The view is amazing, the house literally has everything you need, and the beach was a great time for everyone. We had two year olds and all the way up to an 85 year old and it worked out great for all. Another enjoyable time with many memories made!

The house was beautiful and literally walk onto the beach access. Our family of 8 adults and 2 littles were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back.

We loved this property. It was clean, comfortable and adorably decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans and utensils. Check in was a breeze. The host was so friendly and super responsive to questions. And the location could not have been better. Gorgeous beach views. Listening to the waves is so relaxing. Don’t second guess this one. It’s perfection! Snag it!

Beautiful home and loved the layout. Home was furnished sufficiently, especially the kitchen. Stunning beachfront and enjoyed watching ships come and go and all the fishermen. Will definitely consider this home again next year.

It was beautiful. The house and the beach were gorgeous but smaller than the pics. I really appreciated the fine touches in the decorations, ample towels, cooking supplies, family games, and finally plenty of bathrooms. The best beach house ever!! The only issue was the host didn’t have all the information on what the hose was stocked with, coffee makers ect. Even after I inquired well ahead of my trip. Also trying to get the host to manage the air conditioning was difficult. But overall a great experience. I would do it again and recommend it.
