Location is fantastic. Decor and furnishings of house are wonderful. Communication w owner tops. Only odd thing was the 2nd access to the garage which was thru the primary bedroom’s attached bath. It worked out okay since there was a second access but was a bit surprising at first. Note , there is charge to use the washer & dryer that’s in the garage/ game room. Would I stay again? Absolutely.

The house was lovely. It was very clean and well equipped. I thought the description and photos were misleading. The neighborhood and base created a lot of ambient light so stargazing was compromised. Plan on a great place to stay, but also going into the park for the stars- they are spectacular!

Perfect Desert Stay

We had an amazing time! The house was very clean and just as described. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. Great views and so pretty as the sun goes down. Owners were extremely helpful, quick to respond to questions and kind. Definitely recommend staying here!

Great stay, would stay again!

My friends and I had a lovely time staying at this property. We spent a lot of time on the back patio in the mornings and evenings. The hot tub was a great reprieve, too! Everything in the home was clean and well stocked. The size of the property and the location and privacy were very nice! Kathy and Patrick were great hosts and answered any questions we had and were prompt with communication. We would all be happy to stay here again!

Great stay

Very nice property in 29 palms. Very clean and comfortable. Hot tub was great, but cowboy pool wasn't cleaned and therefore we were not able to use. Location is great and overall we loved our stay.

Peaceful

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay here a lot. My son drove over from the Marines base (15 mins.) and stayed two nights too. We relaxed on the back patio, relaxed in the hot tub, and relaxed on the living room couch watching several movies together. It was a short drive to Joshua Tree National Park, restaurants, and lots of thrift and antique stores. Communication with the host was fast and effective. Would stay again!

Beautiful home near Joshua Tree

Couldn’t ask for a nicer home to stay near JT .Prettier than pictures- warm and graciously decorated. Impeccably clean and organized and fully stocked . Patrick is very responsive and an excellent host. Lovely touches throughout. The outdoor garden is peaceful ( great spot for birdwatching and stargazing).

Fun house under the stars in a quiet neighborhood - excellent vacation rental!

We stayed at The Lost Horse for a few nights while escaping the fires in our area of Los Angeles so most of our time was spent working remotely. We didn’t have much time to enjoy all of the great outdoor and garage amenities, which all looked like a fun time! This house has a great kitchen with plenty of cookware and other kitchen essentials. The hot water lasted for both my husband’s and my showers with no issues. Plenty of neat little details throughout. Mountain views from the windows, good-sized yard of sand gives an extra vacation feel. It was too windy during our stay to burn wood in the fire pit but we did sit by the fire pit and the fire pit chairs were really comfortable while stargazing. Fast WiFi and easy driveway parking behind a secure gate. We would book this space again.

Excellent with a minor blip

This home was spotlessly clean with great ambience. We had everything we needed. We had one minor incident with the thermostat that continued to read poor indoor quality, however the host was excellent in his attention to the matter, research on the issue, and reassurance thatall was well. I would return to this VRBO.

Christmas break to Joshua Tree NP

The rental was clean and comfortable with many amenities. The hot tub and back yard were highlights for our teens and the location was convenient and safe. Communication was excellent.. Recommend for any age group!

Spring break oasis

This is a wonderful place to stay, clean, quiet, close to Joshua Tree National Park. I chose the rental among other choices because it listed washer/dryer on the list of amenities. It turns out there is a cost to use the washer for shorter term stay (booked for 3 nights). It would be nice to know ahead of time before booking. This is my first time booking via VRBO, I learn to ask about cost associated to the use of amenities next time.

The Perfect Desert Oasis!

This is the perfect place to stay near Joshua Tree National Park. The house is immaculate and beautifully updated with all the comforts of home. The property is large and private, and the neighborhood was very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Joshua Tree National Park.

The owners and staff made our trip a breeze.. any little question was taken care of immediately without any issues. The home was very clean and extremely comfortable close to everything we needed. Joshua Tree National Park getaway

We had a great time at this sweet little get away. Super close to the north entrance of the National Park, and a quick easy drive to the west entrance. We loved the quiet and peaceful setting.

Great little oasis in the desert

My family and I stayed here briefly while visiting Joshua Tree. The Casita had everything we needed. My youngest loved the oversized Jenga game, and we all enjoyed watching the stars from the patio at night. One thing to note is that there is no garage access at this property - there is now a game room out there. Bring a solar shade for your car if visiting in the summer because it can get quite hot in the driveway. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
