The property was secluded which was very enjoyable. The location is not quite where it said, it was miles further along the road which was quite rough (rocks and potholes), but it was definitely quiet. Which is what we were wanting. It is about a 30 minute drive from Butte.Hosts were very kind and had a lovely cabin. The view was amazing from the big picture window and the deck. We had solar power with a back up generator which was helpful. The internet and smart TV worked very well! The only downside really (besides the road) was the flies this time of year. They were very numerous, but you can't help nature. Overall, it's a wonderful and beautiful cabin, owned by a kind, helpful couple on a gorgeous secluded property hosting fabulous views of the mountains.

Extremely peaceful

Very clean and peaceful. If you are looking for a remote location for some off-grid living, this is the place for you. The host was very freindly and helpful.

Oh My Freedom, This is America!

The most tranquil and beautiful setting with plenty of mountain biking trails and a lake nearby. I love this place and am so grateful that the owners share it with the world.

Place was remote and a little piece of heaven. Gravel road was rough and took time to get back to it. Perfect if you have no where to be

An excellent off the grid experience

Betty and Smiley are great hosts and the property is outstanding. It is nestled in the hills and we heard Elk out in the woods. The cabin is also literally off the grid, powered by solar and a generator which is a fun experience. The cabin has all you will need to be comfortable and feel like you are truly getting away from the daily routine!

Breathtaking

Such an awesome serene place tucked in the valley and surrounded by the peaceful views of the mountain. Get lulled to sleep at night by the cattle lowing across the meadow. Mesmerizing views of countless stars each night with stunning sunsets. This place has everything you will want in a vacation.

Awesome place

We traveled with friends and family, 7 total. The cabin was comfortable, clean, relaxing and provided a uniquely Montana experience with its large windows and expansive Big Sky View. Travel to Butte was quick and easy and a fun adventure through some beautiful country. The hosts were friendly and responsive and we enjoyed talking with them. I recommend this place, and we look forward to staying here whenever we are in Montana.

Peaceful Retreat

This cabin, situated in the midst of a beautiful mountain meadow, was more than we expected. The log interior gave that rustic, cozy feel and the leather oversize plush chairs and couch in the living space made relaxing oh so comfortable. The kitchen was spacious (new looking countertops) and the beds were divine! We loved the profound silence and enjoyed views of cattle grazing peacefully in the meadows. The old barn on the property and other buildings dating back to the 1800's added to the peaceful ambience. We hope to return!

I am very satisfied with my stay at the cabin. Smiley was very friendly and made checking in very easy and explained everything we needed to know to take care of his cabin. It is far from the city but if you don't mind being off the grid, then you will love this cabin. The property is gorgeous and large. The cabin was charming, clean and had everything we needed to have a good time. This is a great cabin to get away from the city and spend time with your family. I will definitely rent from Betty and Smiley again next time I come out to Montana!

Cozy cabin in a beautiful setting

We loved our stay at this cute and cozy cabin. Hosts Betty and Smiley met us off the interstate, guided us to the cabin, and showed us around. Be prepared for an 8ish mile drive up a pothole riddled road. The cabin was well appointed with everything you need and was a quiet escape during the An Ri Ra festival. I loved drinking coffee on the raised deck in the morning watching the grazing cows. With no light pollution, we had an incredible viewing of the start of the Perseid meteor shower. We'd definitely stay again!

Dream Cabin in the Mountains: if this is your wish, you have come to the right place. This cabin is immaculate and has everything you need to cook or reheat your meals. The views from the large picture window and the wrap-around deck will mesmerize you, making you wish your vacation would never end.
