Unit 106 is a roomy 1 bedroom and 1 bath unit located in Grand Beach Resort on East Beach in Gulf Shores. The unit is just across the street from the beach. It features a queen bed in the master and bunk beds in the hall with a hall bath. There is also a queen sofa sleeper in the living area. A fully equipped kitchen connects to the living room with a large TV and a sliding glass door leading onto the balcony facing the beach.This ground floor unit is convenient to the pool and hot tub area and just a short walk directly across the street to beach. Bring your fishing gear because this unit is across from the state park fishing pier! The pier is a great place for the family to walkout on and see the different fish swimming in the water below and of course throw your line in and catch a few. Numerous restaurants are in walking distance.

Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival and may be paid by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or certified funds (cashier’s check, money order, or certified check). For stays under 14 days, the remaining balance will be automatically charged to the card on file.

Stays of 14 days or longer (including winter stays) must be paid in full 90 days prior to arrival. Payment by check is required to avoid a 3% credit/debit card processing fee. A 3% fee will apply to long-term stays paid by card.

Overall.. we had a nice stay.

Sleeper sofa malfunctioned. Called the office and they sent someone out right away. So relieved. Because we wouldn’t have had a couch all week. But we were afraid to attempt the sleeper sofa again. The sliding shower door was an issue, but we managed. Location was great. Access to the pool and hot tub was great. We had a very nice stay.

Great location

Equipment could use some updating and getting keys from realtors was inconvenient. Maybe I am just used to PIN codes and not having time restrictions. Staff was friendly. View was amazing. They are upfront and honest about supplies in the condo. We left the extra toilet paper and paper towels and soap. Not sure if they will be removed or not.

Dad’s Birthday Weekend

Very convenient location but not enough towels and wash clothes. The bunk beds were very wrinkled and did not have a bedspread in either bunk. The coffee cups were not clean. I had to load the dishwasher with cups and wash them before ever using them.

This condo is ok. It needs some attention and updating. Bathroom is gross. Kitchen is out of date. Television in main area never did work. Front door has a gap almost all the way around it. Floor has been redone. If we had spent much more time inside, this condo would have upset me.

The unit has been freshly painted and deep cleaned this past October. Our housekeepers clean very well and keep the property well furnished with fresh clean linens for guests. We try to keep the prices affordable for all who visit the area and the beautiful sugar white sands of the Alabama Gulf Coast. We will continue to make sure the condo is very clean and comfortable for everyone who stays. Any issues that may arise during a stay will be addressed promptly to ensure that each guest is happy and enjoys their stay in Grand Beach Resort unit 106. This property is a great value and is in a great location in Gulf Shores. We have several repeat guests and small families whom stay multiple times a year. Please visit again soon!

Needs lots of TLC

I understand that when you stay at a vrbo you may need to bring somethings but this place had absolutely nothing. The very first day we had to go out and buy liquid soap for bathroom, dish detergent, toilet paper, paper towel etc. There was writing all on the walls where the bunks beds were. I pretty big gap in the front door our toilet stopped it. We had to make the best of a bad situation. All and all I know I will not stay here again. Normally I don't write reviews but I had to say something about this.

Needs major updates

The first thing we encountered was the place was filthy, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, used plastic wear in the kitchen floor, old stale grapes under the edge of the couch. The bathroom has mold on the ceiling, and in the shower, the shower is horrible, shower head is horrible. The breakers kept flipping to the fridge and the TV, the last two days we had no TV, bcuz the breaker kept flipping it off, and it wouldn't come back on. The space is decent for 6. Location is great, it just needs major updating in the bathroom, and someone to make sure they actually clean it before guests arrive. Beds were comfortable.

Bathroom needs FIXING

Great location. Bathroom shower door is about impossible to open and close as it is so old and rusty. When I say impossible - I mean is DOES NOT open and close. The toilet needed multiple plunging during our stay and the bowl never filler so we had to take the toilet lid off after every use to get the bowl to flush and refill. I would not rent this unit again unless I had personal confirmation from the owner guaranteeing the bathroom worked properly and was updated. It’s already hard sharing one bathroom with 5 people - so when it’s not working properly it’s very frustrating.

Pros: location. Close to the state park: which is beautiful! Walking distance to a great downtown Across the street to path to the beach Great set-up in the condo. Porch is super and the pool and hot tub were good as well. First floor was nice. Cons: Very dirty. My husband and I cleaned. Dust in corners, crackers under the bed, coffee cups were filthy, sand all over the floors, towel on the chair? Not sure what that was about. The bathroom really needed some help. Bottom of toilet rusty, shower stopper drain off, and bring your own toilet paper, dish soap, detergent, (the dryer was Full of lint), and bring drinking water. The door into the condo also had a large space at the bottom, not sure what could crawl through and was difficult to lock. Despite all this, we would stay again due to the location.

There are notes posted throughout the unit with additional instructions/rules for guests. The general upkeep of the unit was below standard with rust in the bathtub sliding door. The decor is outdated as opposed to other units (I checked). Please post pictures that are recent....not from when the unit was built.

Had a great vacation

When I arrived to pick up my keys to the condo, the host was very nice. He had everything already prepared for me. The Provo was very easy. When I got to the condo, I like the location. It was directly across the street from the beach like in the photo. The condo was a little smaller than I thought, but it was big enough for me and my spouse. It was nice and clean because a young lady was still in the process of cleaning when I arrived. Everything was great, but the only thing I would suggest is that they put a new shower head in the shower and fix the shower door because it was very loose. Other than that I would come back again.
