This was our second stay and the house and location were as wonderful as we remembered. The neighborhood is quiet and the beach is nearby. The pool provided a refreshing finish to our walks on the beach. We departed relaxed and refreshed.

We enjoyed this property greatly! It was the perfect size for our group. The kitchen was very spacious. The pool was perfect and very quiet. We loved that it was pet friendly also. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Nice quiet location. Easy to get to the beach backyard felt private. Pet friendly and very comfortable. Would definitely consider staying here again

Great house and pool close to private beach access!

Really nice house and pool surrounded by beautiful palmettos and live oak trees! Our second straight year and we already plan to return next summer!

Great vacation home

This was a great place for a vacation!!! Accommodations were excellent (pool was very refreshing after a day at the beach). This home is close to the beach and very nice. I would definitely return to this lovely home.

Only a short walk down the beach path and you are able to enjoy one of the nicest and more natural beaches on Hilton Head Island. Our goal is to provide our guests with a comfortable and very clean environment to enjoy a great island vacation.

Quiet and peaceful, great location

We really enjoyed our stay. Neighborhood is very quiet and such a great location. We loved being so close to the beach and having a pool at the house. Home was very clean and plenty of room. Would definitely stay here again!

Moonshell is fantastic!

The location of this house is so convenient. We've stayed on the Folly Field end of HHI for years and this home is a short walk from the beach. It was the perfect spot for six of us.

Nice place with easy short walk to the beach ! The pool was so nice and a nice size ! Gets shaded by mid-late afternoon so it was a little chilly yet in May but can’t do much about that . Several nice beach chairs provided and a small beach umbrella . Several sand and pool floats too . The furniture in the family room was a little worn and not real comfortable as well the twin beds. Our adult children on those weren’t real happy so keep that in mind . But location location and a big pool was great!

A Perfect, Peaceful Hilton Head GetawayWe had an absolutely wonderful week at Maggie’s home in Hilton Head. The house was beautiful, extremely clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. With three bedrooms, a lovely private pool, and a pet-friendly setup, it was the perfect place for our vacation.The location was fantastic—just one block from Folly Field Beach, which we absolutely loved. The neighborhood itself was very quiet and peaceful, making it easy to truly relax and enjoy our time away.Maggie was a wonderful host. Communication with her was excellent from the very beginning. She answered all of our questions before our arrival and was readily available if we needed anything during our stay. Both check-in and departure were incredibly easy and smooth.We especially appreciated all the thoughtful extras provided for guests: beach chairs, an umbrella and wagon for trips to the beach, pool floats, and a charcoal grill that we ended up using all the time!We honestly have no complaints whatsoever. This was one of the most peaceful and enjoyable vacations we’ve had in a long time, and the house played a big part in that. We would absolutely stay here again and hope to return!Thank you, Maggie, for sharing your wonderful Hilton Head home with us!

Family beach vacation

This property and location were fantastic. Being able to bring our old dog was great! Didn't have to worry about boarding her, and we took her on morning and evening beach walks. Communication with hosts was great.

Great family vacation with dogs

A week stay with spouse, daughter, SIL, almost 3 year old grandson and two dogs. More spacious inside than pics depict. Easy walk to beach. We did bring our own beach cart/chairs but there were some provided as stated. Pool floats and toys were nice. Communication before stay was always prompt. No need to communicate during stay. It was the perfect place and setup for us.

Very Happy!

Property is exactly as described! Short walk to beach path/beach. Very few people on this section of beach. Quiet neighborhood. The house was the perfect size for 4 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs! Already booked for next year!

Better Than Advertised!!!

This house was wonderful! The location is one block from the beach, on an extremely quiet street. The grounds are well kept, with a beautiful pool as well. The property was stocked better than any other VRBO property we have stayed at over the years, with regards to paper goods, toiletries, cooking utensils and spices/condiments. Communication with the owner was first class, and she was always just a call or a text away. We will look to book in the future, and suggest all that look into this property to do the same.

Beach house

Location is wonderful!! Close to the beach/ ocean! Home shows definitely more wear than the pictures show. We had light bulbs out but Maggie had them replaced right away. Don't expect a gas grill. We stayed a month and enjoyed our time.

Sorry about the gas grill, was replaced with a charcoal grill, found that most guest prefer charcoal and keeping up with propane tanks got to be too hard from guest to guest.

Wonderful Vacation Retreat

We stayed at this lovely beach house for our family vacation. It was perfect! The beach is so close and not crowded. The dolphins put on quite a show for us one day about 5 feet away. The neighborhood is nice, quiet and easy to get to. The home is decorated beautifully and all our needs were met above and beyond our expectations. Very clean. The owners have done a lovely job decorating the home and we enjoyed all the artwork.The pool is very nice too. Shopping, restaurants, grocery stores and activities are easy to access. We are already checking our calendars as to when we might return. Thank you for making our vacation memories come true.

Great location

Great location, host was accommodating, however, we could only use the poolthe last 2 1/2 days out of a 5 week stay due to the neighbors leaves, twigs etc. same with the deck. My husband had to blow the deck everyday. The pool was cleaned twice a week and for 10 minutes after it was cleaned it was filled with debris again. Staying at any place for 5 weeks should be sprayed for pests more than once. My husband had to kill 3 cockroaches while we were there. We asked for a monetary compensation. Nothing.

Wow! I repeatedly tried to accommodate my guest concerns about the leaves on the deck and in the pool and explained that our "fall" on the island happens to be in March and early April, it came late this year due to a very hard winter for us - snow which has only happened once in 22 years! So not much I could do about leaves, I did increase pool cleaning to twice a week and provided a blower for the leaves on the deck. There are no cockroaches in the house, however most likely the guest killed 3 palmetto bugs which are prevalent to the island which is built on sand. The exterminator comes once a month and did the interior the day before the guests arrived and the exterior additionally during the month. three bugs in 5 weeks doesn't seem like a huge problem especially since this review is the first time I'm hearing about it. I never felt that compensation was in order since I repeatedly stayed in touch and did everything I could to make them happy. Unlike a hotel I do not employ a daily pool cleaner and landscaper and I apologize for any inconvenience due to leaves falling from trees during fall and pollen season.

A Great Vacation House!

We really enjoyed our one week stay at this lovely home. It was our first time visiting Hilton Head Island, we are Florida people, but I think this home might have changed our minds! We have rented many homes over the last six years and there are three important things we look for cleanliness, a great pool/outdoor space, and proximity to the beach. This home had all three. The home was clean and comfortable looking exactly like the photos. The outdoor space was great. We spent our days in the pool while our older dog loved laying in the screened in room on the cement floor with the fan blowing on her. The fenced in yard was also great for a family traveling with a pet. Lastly, it was less than an five minute walk to a wonderful beach. The owners were very easy to deal with, they confirmed deposits with emails and were always quick to respond to any question. We hope to return next summer and encourage anyone looking for a home on Hilton Head to give it a try.

Back again!

We love this house. This is the second time that we rented for a 2 week stay. I didn't even bother looking around this time, as why change a good thing?! It is very close to the beach, has a perfect pool for a family of 4 to play pool games or relax on rafts, is welcoming and inviting and includes everything you need. The yard is perfect for our dog, and he even uses the screened in porch while we swim. I can't imagine staying in a tiny condo after staying in this perfect sized home. The location is perfect, too. North and south the beach is crazy crowded. Not so here, due to no plantations or condos. We play Bocce, golf... take up a lot of space because there might only be 10 people on this stretch compared to hundreds by plantations. The bike path is at the end of the street and shopping is about 7 min away. Maggie and Peter are quickly responsive, accommodating, and caring. I love dealing with them and not a management company. Perfect house, perfect location, perfect owners! You can't go wrong here.

More and more guests returning to our beach house and we're happy this family is back again. We work hard to provide a great property because we know from experience how important a great beach vacation can be. A time to come together as a family and make countless memories.
