Great communication. Good spot to be midway between South Haven and Saugatuck. So close to beautiful views of Lake Michigan. We enjoyed the bikes, corn hole, fire pit and scrabble.

We enjoyed our stay! A few issues were the confusing listing that it was 3 bedrooms (not clarifying that one of bedroom was in a separate building). More towels were needed, the bathroom window needs a shade and the enclosed porch area has a very strong flowery smell.

The property was clean, well updated, and the king size bed was soft and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was great and the backyard space was lovely to spend time in.I would have given a 5 star review but I belive that the photos for this listing are misleading. There appears to be a relatively new home that has been built behind the property and drastically reduces the privacy of the backyard.

This place was super nice and serene due to being in a wooded area and having the hot tub, hammock, and fire pit. Being able to walk down to the private beach was also a highlight. The kitchen was great to cook in, too, and there were surprisingly no mosquitoes! We loved the location in terms of being secluded while having the ability to drive into a couple towns in under 20 minutes.A couple things to note - there are about 80 stairs to get back up from the beach, which could be challenging for those with mobility issues or if you’re carrying a lot of stuff, and not having a bathroom in the garage bedroom was at times inconvenient. Overall, though, this place was awesome and we would love to come back!

We loved staying here! Such a beautiful area. Clean, cozy and had everything we needed. We ended up with only 1 kiddo coming with us. Which was perfect. I had originally thought there was 3 bedrooms inside the house. There are 2 bedrooms inside and one in the garage. We would have made it work with more people with us but it would have been tough. Overall we loved the home. The sunroom, the outside. It was great.

Thank you for the lovely review. In The Trees is a great getaway spot. The description does state that there is 2 bedrooms and a sleeper sofa in the main house and then a seperate garage bedroom (only avaiable to use May through October). Hopefully we can host you again. Best, Anne

Great visit!

My family and I loved the house and the neighborhood- it was so quiet and peaceful. The private beach was perfect. We had a great visit and hope to return!

Family vacation

We come to the South Haven area every year for our family vacation and this home was by far the best we have ever stayed in. Very clean, 3 minute walk down to the perfect sunsets every night, comfortable beds, plenty of space for our family of 5!

Wonderful house in a great location. If we are returning to the area we would look at staying here again. Overall a great experience. As a family that books houses so we can cook/bake some on vacation we did find the kitchen a little lacking in basic cookware.

Great Vacation House

Very lovely property, located super close to Lake Michigan. Close to beach towns. Nice hot tub, kitchen, and living areas. A great home base for a West Michigan adventure!

Great getaway

Great getaway in an ideal location. Easy checkin and checkout. Loved the outdoor spaces and amenities and proximity to the lake. It was really helpful to have a high chair too!

In The Trees

What a lovely setting in the Trees for a girls weekend getaway. Location was perfect and easy drive to many things. So relaxing watching the animals sitting in the three season room and walking the beach. The house was very homey and had everything we needed. Kitchen was excellent and so well supplied. We loved the hot tub! Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderfully stocked home!

We enjoyed the bikes, cornhole, giant Jenga and scrabble games! The kitchen was well stocked with spices and storage bags too.

Wonderful and spacious place in the woods!

Clean and easily accommodated the 5 of us. Close to lake Michigan and tons of deer. Could use a bit more parking space as we had three cars and would of like to had the cousins over but no where to park 'em.

Unfortunately, there is not much we or the homeowner can do about parking (the property only sleeps six) and there is limited space regarding the property and how it is set on the lot. The house and location were perfect. We loved being so close to a private beach and were so close to many great restaurants, parks, etc. such a great host and such an amazing experience. So very thankful to have found this spot.

House is lovely, tucked away in the woods. Private Lake Michigan beach -?! Unbelievable! 80 stairs to get to it and worth every one. We did not end up needing the third bedroom in renovated garage but it looked lovely.

This place is beautiful!

We are 5 women of a certain age who were on a weekend getaway. We walked down the road to the lake and dipped our feet in the water. The hot tub was the perfect size for all of us to enjoy. Thank you for hosting us. We would love to return in the future.
