La Maison au toboggan: a comfortable family vacation home

If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax, you’ve come to the right place! <br>We, Beate and Vincent, are happy to offer you a newly renovated, cozy house. <br>It’s located across from the former washhouse, between the church and the “Castle of a Hundred Windows,” in the heart of the small Burgundian village of Lantilly.<br>This charming vacation home, built of wood and traditional stone, is ideal for a family or two couples with a child.<br><br>You enter this vacation home via the balcony. <br>On the first floor is a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, etc.) that opens onto the dining room. There you’ll find a sideboard with board games and card games for all ages. On the same floor is the bathroom (toilet, sink, shower-tub combination, washing machine, towel dryer, hair dryer) and two bedrooms: one with a 160 x 200 cm bed, a 60 x 120 cm crib, a changing table, and a closet with a wardrobe; the other with a 140 x 200 cm bed and a wardrobe.<br>On the second floor, we provide a cozy living room and a bedroom with 3 single beds (varying heights) and a closet. This room also features a desk. <br>The property will soon be equipped with fiber-optic internet, Wi-Fi, and TV.<br>You’ll have access to two floors of the house, the balcony (with a small table and seating), the garden, and a terrace. <br>The kids will love sliding down the slide from the balcony. Garden furniture and a grill are provided during the summer season.<br>The house with the slide is located in the heart of a small, quiet, and cozy village. The church is not far away; its bell rings regularly to mark the time.<br><br>There are many attractions to explore: the beautiful medieval town of Semur-en-Auxois, the Abbey of Fontenay (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Alesia archaeological site and the MuséoParc, the Château de Bussy-Rabutin, the village of Flavigny and its anise-flavored candy production, the Buffon Museum in Montbard and the “Les Forges de Buffon” site, the Auxois Zoo, the sources of the Seine, the Morvan Nature Park, the town of Saulieu, and a little further away lies one of the most beautiful villages in France: Vézelay, a major stop on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, or the city of Dijon (1 hour from Lantilly).<br><br>Swimming spots are also nearby: Lac de Pont (11 km away), Le nid à la Caille (6.6 km away) in Venarey-les-Laumes, and the Amphitrite swimming pool in Montbard (13 km away).<br><br>There are numerous hiking opportunities in nature or around Lac de Pont.<br><br>Don’t miss these events in 2024: <br>* May 4 and 5: the medieval town festival in Semur-en-Auxois, <br>* May 31: La Fête de la Bague featuring France’s oldest horse race (since 1639!)<br>* July 6: Semur-en-Auxois is the starting point of the Tour de France.<br>* July 12: The Olympic torch relay passes through Semur-en-Auxois, Alise-Sainte-Reine, and the MuséoParc Alésia.<br><br>The property has a parking lot. The “Les Laumes Alesia” train station is 8 km away, and the Montbard TGV station is 13 km away. You can reach Paris/Gare de Lyon in 1 hour by TGV. By car, you can reach Paris, Porte d’Orléans, via the A6 from Exit 23 Bierre-les-Semur (which is 20 km from the vacation home) in 2.5 hours.<br><br>Included in the rental price are: preparation of the accommodation, bed linens, and towels (unironed!). <br>We provide hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, and trash bags.<br><br>! Please note: A security deposit of 300&#8364; must be paid upon arrival. When you leave, the house
