Firstly, we felt sorry that the guest was disappointed during his stay. The house is newly built and we had two small issues which were dealt with immediately: 1) The hot water pipe had leaked in the downstairs guest toilet resulting in the guest not having hot water in the guest toilet for 2 days. No problems were experienced in the other 3 bathrooms. We had to order a spare part for the downstairs guest bathroom tap. This was done immediately once we were made aware of the problem 2) When the kitchen was installed the technicians used a 2 pin electric plug which had to be changed to a 3 pin plug with an earth. This issue had to be dealt with immediately for safety reasons which we and the Villa Manger take very seriously. Whilst resolving the issue undoubtedly inconvenienced the guest, we felt their safety was paramount. The cleaning company actually cleaned the house 3 times per week. We have never had any complaints before regarding cleaning. All our guests have commented on how well the property is maintained and cleaned. Occasionally, our guests will comment that the cleaners are disturbing them, so the cleaners try and complete the cleaning as quickly as possible so as to minimize the disruption. I’ve spoken to the cleaning company and asked them to make sure guests are always happy with the quality of the cleaning. Our suggestion to guests is that they notify the cleaners immediately if they have any issues concerning the cleanliness of the villa. As mentioned earlier we take pride in ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards. The nearest beach is 5-8 minutes walk just down the hill, but of course, it is possible to walk this distance in 20 minutes or even in 1 hour…it depends on your walking speed….Please see the picture of the named beach in our advertisement, which was taken from the master bedroom's balcony. Yes, unfortunately we had some noise coming from a construction. There is only one construction, the house is not in a construction area! The feedback from guests staying before and after this guest was they thoroughly enjoyed the villa and location and were not disturbed by anything. ********************** We believe the main reason for the guest writing such a negative review was that he requested that we reimburse him 30% of the rental price after his stay. After careful thought we declined to reduce the price further explaining we had already heavily reduced the price owing to it being the low season. Thank you.
