Schweitzer Ski Resort is only a 15-minute short drive, or you can take Sandpoint’s free SPOT Shuttle…with pick-up only 1 block away from the Cottage for a FREE ride to town or the top of Schweitzer Resort. The SPOT Shuttle Route details are provided in our Guest Guide, emailed after booking, and a hard copy is supplied at Carpenter Cottage.
THE ACCOMMODATION:
'Carpenter Cottage' is immaculately furnished and comes with most everything needed for a short or long-term stay!
In the master bedroom, a luxurious king bed awaits your slumber and in the guest bedroom, there is an equally comfy queen bed. For parties over 4, the sofa transforms into yet another queen bed. The Cottage bed linens are of a high quality, with the beds dressed in high thread-count sheets and the comforters and pillows being Claritin Cotton Allergen Barrier Down Alternative.
Each bedroom is supplied with white linen black-out curtains. You will find light-filtering shades throughout the cottage. A new, complimentary ‘Pack-n-Play’ is available for your little one. In essence, 'Carpenter Cottage' offers maximum options for any sleeping arrangement.
In a lake-side town, beach gear is a must!
Guests often bring their own, but for your convenience, Carpenter Cottage provides adult and child-sized beach towels, 2 children's beach chairs, sand toys & activities for all ages.
If the weather isn’t cooperating, Cottage guests can stay indoors and enjoy the gas fireplace while watching a show on the many available apps, put in a DVD, or challenge the kids with the available Wii games. The Cottage has a wide selection of movies, books, games, and crafts for the entire family!
Cottage guests can enjoy the serene view of the Selkirk Mountains while sitting on the front porch in the inviting Adirondack chairs. Breathe in the fresh air of Northern Idaho, while sipping on your favorite adult beverage and taking in the whimsical sounds of the distant train.
THE DETAILS:
For your convenience, we provide a Guest Guide with our personalized recommendations for dining, activities, and outdoor play. We will email you the Rental Agreement after booking. Once guests' names are added, signed, and emailed back, we will send the Guest Guide to help plan your visit. Once your arrival date gets closer, we will email you with additional details and cottage access information. Contact us with any questions to help make your visit more enjoyable!

Pets and Smoking: Out of consideration for all of our guests, the Cottage does not allow pets. Our home is a NON-SMOKING home. Smoking is not permitted in the cottage or surrounding premises. Carpenter Cottage is a smoke-free living environment.
Security Camera: For security purposes, one surveillance device will be found on the exterior of the cottage on the front porch. It is used for security and/or to monitor that our policies are adhered to.

Hello!! We are Nick and Monica Carpenter. We are the new owners of 'Carpenter Cottage' in picturesque Sandpoint, Idaho. We have 2 handsome and athletic boys, Connor and Colton. We grew up and live on the beautiful Central Coast of California. Nick is self-employed and I am a stay-at-home mother, and assistant to our family practice. We are passionate about food, coffee, travel, and family adventures!!

There is nothing like taking in the fresh mountain air of Northern Idaho and serene backdrops while paddle-boarding in Lake Pend Orielle.
Sandpoint has the perfect landscape for family bike rides, with bike routes and sidewalks throughout the charming town. With only a 15 minute family ride to downtown and City Beach, we have enjoyed many afternoons of lake fun, shopping, and trying out new eateries.
We have enjoyed connecting with new people, shopping the many local artisans, and making unforgettable memories playing at City Beach.

As you enter 'Carpenter Cottage', you are welcomed with high vaulted ceilings and exposed beams with charming, lakeside cottage décor. My favorite element of our cottage is being newly constructed with an open floor plan that is bright and airy.
