Blissful Villa, King Bed

A beautiful villa in the quiet north side of Hilton Head Island, a gated community with private access to the beach, nestled between preserves and the beach. You get 3 pools, gym, barbeque stations. Close to Melville park. Short driving distance to all Hilton Head has to offer.
Although The Spa is a small community, it provides its residents with an indoor pool complex, which includes a heated pool, a hot tub, fitness room, and large changing rooms. Other amenities include two outdoor pools, tennis courts, outdoor basketball court, picnic and grilling areas, a children's playground and our greatest asset - the beautiful "all natural" beach on the Port Royal Sound! Being located on the "heel" of the Island where the Atlantic Ocean turns up into the Sound, provides a view of the Atlantic Ocean and boats entering the Sound. The beach is in a nature preserve and bird sanctuary, offering a wide variety of wildlife to watch and enjoy. The beautifully landscaped gardens and lagoons create the feel of a tropical paradise.

The Spa connects directly to Hilton Head’s bike trails. These "off road" trails (except for street crossings) cover virtually the entire Island. Within a short distance from The Spa there are several Atlantic beach front public parks with showers, restrooms, picnic areas and playground. The Island boasts over 20 public golf courses, too many great restaurants to count, movie theaters, great shopping, and other exciting vacation activities. Savannah, GA is less than one hour away and Charleston, SC is about 1.5 hours away.

Beach vacation

We had a wonderful trip, visited a light house and took a boat ride to see the dolphins. Everything was in easy access. The pools were great, friendly staff. This is someplace I would visit again.

Thank you for your review. Perhaps because you rented at the last minute you did not Read the Rental Agreement, Information about the Gate Fee is Capitalized. $20.00 one time cash parking fee which you have to pay at the entrance, to the Resort. This is much less than what is paid at a lot of other resorts on the Island. Any other fees was paid through the VRBO app and were quite explanatory and are the same fees you would pay for property rentals due the county, city and VRBO. Travellers know of those fees. It does not go to me. 3 stars seem rather harsh considering you stayed several hours past your check out time and did not pay any extra for that. Once again thank you for staying with us.

The Host is Great - The Property was Not.

I am not one to write poor reviews.. However, it's important to honestly point out what made it disappointing for the sake of the host and future visitors who are going to pay a decent amount of money to stay here. - I hope this review can spark change, best of luck. Things to note from our experience: - The Condominium complex is outdated and poorly upkept. There are no elevators which is a big deal since this unit is located on the third floor. Aggressive signage posted all around the complex is off-putting. Not well kept or cleaned - major spider webs in the stairwell and all over the railings outside. Outdoor pool was never cleaned and couldn't be used. Front gate security was difficult to deal with. - Feral/Stray Cats everywhere! There is a "Cat Sanctuary" right next to the property that is filled with stray cats. These feral cats roam and liter the entire complex and you can find them sleeping on your vehicle in - very odd and not what I signed up for. - The unit lacks TLC. The following things made us not want to spend significant time in the unit: The living room was poorly furnished, mismatched, and non-functional - part of an old couch was found outside on the porch, minimal lighting in living room made it dark, pillows and blankets on the couch were not cleaned, and there was an ACTIVE beehive located on the back porch. - The host Bunmi was wonderful to work with - responsive and professional during our entire stay.

We appreciate all our guests. Security is there for the safety and orderliness of all guests and owners. Guests have found them helpful in directing them where to go, park and even contacted hosts on guests' behalf on occasions. The property description and Rental agreement mentions the presence of a security gate at the entrance to the Resort. If there is a difference between the name registered and the name of the guest who shows up they have to sort it out. We appreciate the Resort having such a service. I'm sorry you had difficulty with the stairs. The property description says that it is on the 3rd floor and has no elevator. The Resort is next to a nature preserve and mindful of the environment hence some signs advising guests and residents such as not to turn on lights on the beach after certain late hours so as not to disturb sea turtles. The resort is not a single family home so signs are common sense advice to make things smooth and easy for all. As for the cat sanctuary, plans are underway to curtail the few cats that come on the Resort. The villa's furnishing is as shown in the listing photographs. The Villa back porch was checked after your departure and no bee hive was found. House keeping continues to do a great job. Guests have contact information and can always contact the host if they need assistance. Thank you. Management

Great spot

Found this as a last minute trip. Great location out of the way from the busy parts of the island. The unit was perfect for our family. Short walk to a quiet beach, clean, well maintained property.

Good overall. Location description was deceptive.

Property was clean and check in was easy. Two issues detracted from our stay. The day before checkin the owner informed us that the electronic keypad was inoperative and we would have to use the manual lock box to access the key to the condo and if we lost said key we’d be responsible for locksmith fees. This made it inconvenient with our family of 5 as someone always had to have the key and be mindful of the keys location during swimming or other activities. One other issue was the location of the condo. The condo is located in building C. Right across from the gate entrance to the property. This is a considerable walk to the outdoor pools and the beach access. The blue location icon on the listing shows the property in a building adjacent to the outdoor pool. This is incorrect. Had I known the true location of the property I would have booked a unit closer to the beach and pools (as a larger group of family members were staying there). All in all the stay was fine.
