Great Spring Break Stay

Our family loved the location and the size of the pool. It was an easy walk to all the restaurants and nightlife in Lauderdale by the sea. There were a couple of minor maintenance items that needed fixed, but overall we enjoyed our stay!

This house was a great fit for our family! It was very spacious and in a great location, with a beautiful outdoor space. It was close to a lot of different things like the beach, grocery store, and so many restaurants. We would definitely consider staying here again:)

Came to Fla from Buffalo for bills dolphins game with three brothers and bro in law. House was perfect for us. Pool is outstanding. Plenty of room for all of us. Great property and can’t wait to come again.

Great stay

Another great stay at the property. Carole and Gregory are prompt and responsive, and everything is clean and orderly upon arrival. We highly recommend the property given its location benefits (easy walk to shops, restaurants, beach, and grocery store). Its split bedroom layout also supports multi-generational visitor options and a quieter portion of the home for those, like us, with young children. Will stay again without hesitation.

Okay but could be great!

I’ll start with the positives: * Location: Excellent. It’s a short walk to Commercial Boulevard with plenty of shops and restaurants, and it’s also close to the beach and grocery stores. * Pool: The pool and backyard area are spacious and enjoyable. * Hosts: Greg was very responsive to any issues that came up. When we noticed the coffee pot was missing, he replaced it the same day. One of the toilets was making a high-pitched sound when flushing, and he fixed it promptly. When another issue occurred, it was addressed again the next day. We also had a problem with the BBQ, which was resolved quickly. We really appreciated the responsiveness. Areas for improvement: * Accommodations: The house felt unkept and could benefit from a deep clean. Floors and surfaces did not seem fully clean, and there were stains on one of the twin mattresses. The blinds in one bedroom were missing a section, allowing a lot of light in (this was also the case in the hallway, though less impactful). The netting around the backyard has multiple holes. One of the queen beds was very squeaky, and the A/C unit in the rooms near the kitchen was quite loud. With better upkeep and attention to cleanliness, this property has the potential to be a great stay.

Perfect rental for multi-family vacation

Area of home was located conveniently to beach, restaurants, and Publix grocery store. The setup of home made it really easy to house 4 adults, a teenager, and infant. Pool area is awesome got daytime and nighttime gathering. Only opportunity is a few small items could be updated or maintained. I would recommend this home to others.

Beautiful Outdoor Living

The four of us had a wonderful nearly 3 week long stay here. The large heated pool , outdoor dining table, chaise lounges, and sitting area were very nice and all enclosed with screening. We spent many hours outside by the pool. The house is close to a Publix just north a few blocks and restaurants, shops, bars and the beach just East. All within very easy walking distance. Perfect vacation site and Carole and Gregory as well as their son were very accommodating/available for any questions. Have stayed here several times before and certainly would again.

Place needs maintenance

This house has a great location within walking distance to the beach and lots of stores, restaurants, etc. However, we were very disappointed in the amount of items that needed attention/maintenance in this house. I would not stay here again because of that.

Perfect House and outdoor space!

My husband and I along with 2 friends and our 2 fur babies recently spent 3 weeks at this property. The accommodations were perfect for our party. We enjoyed the covered back patio and pool the most! The heated pool is large and the guys swam laps every day. We ate all of meals and spent the majority of our time outside on patio. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of nice dishes and cookware. The description of property was accurate. Pretty short walk downtown and to the beach. Owner provided a beach wagon, chairs and umbrellas. The umbrellas were broken and I texted the owner and within 15 minutes they brought us 2 new umbrellas. We also had a little trouble with the dishwasher and the gas grill and again I texted the owner and they were there promptly to remedy the problem. Very nice quiet neighborhood and a short walk to all the restaurants, shops, and beach. I would definitely recommend this property.

Good pictures, lots of structural issues.

The house looked like the pictures and the hosts responded quickly to all concerns but the house had a lot of issues. I would not recommend anyone stay here with their family. When we arrived, the internet did not work. I texted the contact in the welcome book, Victor, no response. I then messaged in the app and texted who I thought was the owner, but afterwards learned was the property manager, and got a response. They came the next morning and resolved the issue by about 11 am but I had already had to relocate to find internet to make critical work calls, which was extremely inconvenient. The same morning we got a knock on the door from a contractor who effectively barged into the house unannounced and said he had to check the electrical. Him and his partner completely took over the kitchen, making it unusable for about a half hour, which is an issue when you are traveling with small children. They then reported that the electrical was not done to code and that they would have to come back and rip up the floor in order to fix it. I let them know they should speak to the homeowner. I called the property manager when they arrived and he said that he was unaware that they were coming. The water in the tubs was a distinct yellow color, which was off putting to say the least. In addition to that, a few days into our stay one of the showers started overflowing with water, which flooded the entire bathroom and into one of the bedrooms. The water was dirty and discolored and smelled quite bad. Again the homeowners called the plumber (on thanksgiving) and got him over within a few hours which was great. But the whole thing was so off putting that we effectively stopped using that bathroom for the rest of the trip. The washer dryer were FULL of pet hair. So that was not ideal. The screened in pool has tons of holes in the screening, so it’s full of mosquitos (description is incorrect on this front). One other thing to note is that the property manager Gregory that we dealt with is not the man in the photo listed on the VRBO. Kind of strange so would generally recommend being more transparent with the photo situation. Because the messaging all comes from “Gregory and Carole” who you assume are the people in the photo, but that’s not the case. All in all, hats off to the property managers for helping to resolve the major things (internet and flooding) very quickly, especially on thanksgiving. But the house needs some work.

Dear Kelli We are very surprised to see that you gave us a 2 stars review, what happened is completely out of our control, we made everything possible to fix the issue immediately. The internet wasn’t working, xfinity had to fix the problem, Gregory (one of the managers at Florida 1 vacation rentals LLC) immediately went to T-Mobile to buy a MiFi (cost of $200) for you to use. He waited in line at T-mobile from 9-10am that they open then another 40min to get helped, he bought the MiFi and brought it back to you right away. Xfinity fixed the problem right away also. We were not made aware by the owner that a contractor had to come that morning, we made clear with the owner to advise us of anyone coming to the house, if any. They are just missing a plug in the kitchen island, nothing major. The color of the water is completely normal, we also live in lauderdale by the sea and have the same color of water, nothing we can do about that, it’s a city thing. On Thanksgiving day, you reported a problem in one of the bathrooms. We had to pay $600 for the emergency call for a plumber. He pulled out of the drain so many wipes!. Wipes shouldn’t be thrown in the toilets, this is a problem waiting to happen. The bathroom was fixed, you could have used it. Have we known that you wouldn’t use the bathroom, we wouldn’t have had an emergency service on Thanksgiving day. The house rules are very clear that guests are not allowed to have a party at the house: you had at least 30 people on Thanksgiving day. All this people using the bathrooms at once doesn’t help either. We didn’t stop the party to make it for the loss of internet for couple of hours. We had the screened fixed the week before your arrival, it happens that iguanas and squirrels make their way through the screens but it’s seldom. For the photo on the website, it is my husband Victor and myself Carole (you had my number also in the welcome book). We are a family business and have employees. Gregory is one of them and our son and we have few other people working with us. We thought putting the picture of our couple would be more fun than to put the logo of our company. We have 5 stars reviews in all the websites, I definitely don’t think it is fair to give us a 2 stars review when we were always here within minutes to assist you. All in all, only the internet was a problem and it was fixed within few hours. I don’t thing we could have done more for your convenience.

I’d stay there again!

Great location and the house had all the amenities needed. Quiet neighborhood and easy access to stores. Contact with the owner was easy and she responded quickly! My family all agreed we would stay there again!

Excellent house & location

Stayed here for a week and have to say it was one of our best VRBO rental experiences. Communication and interaction with Carole was superb. Always there to answer any question or offer reccos. House location is amazing. 10 minute walk to numerous restaurants and bars. 3 blocks To beach. 3 min car ride to nearest grocery store (walked there after first shop). House and pool was excellent. Would definitely recommend and will Be looking to stay again in the future.

Checks all the boxes

Our family had an outstanding stay in this home. The layout offered multi-generational separation and the outdoor pool and patio area were great features when windy days made the beach difficult for younger children. The location is excellent--approximately 7 minute walk in multiple directions to the beach, grocery store, or the LBTS commercial district (the Commercial Pier). The property had everything we needed, and we were very comfortable. We would not hesitate to rent the property again the future. A nice, quiet neighborhood tucked away close to everything. Perfect for families.

Great property! Great location!!!

The property was exactly as advertised and exactly what we expected. Upon arrival we had a minor hiccup that was taken care of promply with 1 phone call. Cleaning crew did an excellent job. The location of the property was perfect for a short walk to the beach but also private enough to enjoy our time in the AWESOME swimming pool. We would highly recommend this property. The owners and property manager responded very quickly from the time we booked until after our trip ended. A+

The good and the bad

We had problems the first four days upon arrival the fridge wasn’t.working properly in that it was freezing the food. The microwave wasn’t working. Repairman was sent couldn’t fix fridge anew one was delivered on day three. A countertop microwave was delivered on day four. We had no notice about these items being broken. Also there was no information on how the cooktop worked. The owner did send items that were said to be there but were not. After these issues were resolved all was well. The outdoor living space and pool were superb.

Dear Mr. Donald, I'm very surprised by your review since we went ABOVE AND BEYOND what we could have done to make you happy. Before you checked-in, I had guests in the house and everything was fine. As it happens, things malfunction or break. Unfortunately, the fridge had a problem and the microwave didn't work, we brought the repairmen the same day: they told us the microwave can be repaired, so we place the order to repair. In meanwhile, we brought you my own microwave. The fridge was working but was a little too cold: WE CHANGED THE FRIDGE FOR A NEW ONE AND HAD IT DELIVERED THE NEXT DAY.(very hard to achieved those day but we were still able to do it) In meanwhile, we got news that the piece for the microwave will take a very long time to arrive: WE WENT TO BUY A NEW MICROWAVE AND BROUGHT IT TO YOU, so that I can have mine back. You request for a ceramic griddle (it was never said to be there), you receive it the next day. You request an electric hand mixer (it was never said to be there neither) and you received it the next day also. I would think that everything was done to make you happy, we do have hundreds of reviews all together for our vacation rentals and it is unanimous that we try everything we can to give the best service possible. An outstanding find!

We have stayed at several VRBOs in the area. This one checks all the boxes. It was clean, well maintained, the owners are friendly and responsive, kind and personable. The house is perfectly situated 3 blocks from the beach so that gives access and walkability to all the surrounding venues and yet is private enough that you do not hear all the noise at night. We parked our car when we arrived and walked the entire time we were there. The house has access to grocery stores, CVS, the beach, restaurants, and bars. Really one of the best locations that we have stayed in the area for this. The pool is very private and screened in. It is well maintained and Ofers an overhang so that you are out of the sun when it is too hot. No bugs to deal with and the pool is the right size for friends and family to enjoy all at the same time. The house is clean and well appointed. There are four bedrooms that will comfortably sleep eight. A master with a queen and en suite bathroom and guest room that has two twin beds in the main house. The garage has been converted to what our family referred to as "the apartment." It has a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a large room with a trundle that sleeps two or works as an office to zoom. The owners could not have ben nicer. They are lifelong residents of the area and were extremely attentive during our stay. We would absolutely love to stay there again.

Pleasant holiday getaway

Nice home, with great amenities. Big pool and well equipped kitchen. Landlord very responsive, to any questions.

We are the dynamic duo, Carole and Victor! We have been in the hospitality and management business the last 26 years. We ran a beautiful Bed & Breakfast on the beach in Lauderdale by the Sea for 14 years and have been doing vacation rentals for the last 12 years. We live and work in Fort Lauderdale and therefore are always available for our guests. Carole focuses on guest reservations and communications while Victor handles check-ins and anything else the guests might need. We know the area very well and can advise you on restaurants, attractions, shopping and everything else South Florida has to offer you
We both are fluent in French.
