Overall, we enjoyed several aspects of our stay. The ocean view was great, the check-in process was simple and convenient, and having access to the storage closet with beach chairs and other beach items was a nice bonus. The beach is only a short walk away, and the host was very responsive whenever we had questions. That said, there were several maintenance and safety issues that future guests should be aware of. There is no elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage and belongings up six flights of stairs. Upon arrival, the linens had not been put away and were still in the dryer. The condo could use some updating and routine maintenance. The kitchen drawer is off its track and barely opens. The master shower is very small, the shower floor dips down, and it becomes extremely slippery when wet. Neither the sliding glass door to the deck nor the bedroom door stays shut properly, even though both lock. There is also a protruding nail pop in the master bathroom floor that creates a tripping hazard. In the second bathroom, the hot water at the sink did not work, and the drain backed up while using it. The electronic door lock was also difficult to hear, and at times it announced that the door was not locked even though it actually was.My biggest concern was the storage unit. It has exposed rusty nails protruding from it, and I cut my hand on one during our stay. This is a safety hazard that should be addressed immediately to prevent someone else from getting injured.
