This home boasts stunning historic wood dating back to the late 1700's--one of the oldest homes in Greenbrier county--has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, and is located one short block to Washington Street and all the best that downtown Lewisburg--America's Best Small Town Food Scene-- has to offer. Your cozy getaway is just a click away!

A beautiful historic house, lovingly restored with all the modern conveniences. Perfect is so many ways. Clean, cozy, comfortable and within easy walking distance of downtown Lewisburg! Great communication with the host, easy check in and out! Highly recommend!

This was a phenomenal stay. I am not exaggerating when I say that this was probably the best VRBO listing we’ve ever stayed. This is a well equipped and updated historic house. Everything was thought out perfectly. We loved the fact that we were staying in a home with so much history, yet didn’t feel like a run down or lacking home. The location is 2 blocks from downtown which is situated very close to a great coffee shop in town.

Lovey home, comfortable beds, bedding and couch. Great location close to everything we needed in Lewisburg. There has been a heatwave and so the upstairs did get warm. The host was very responsive and got an air conditioning unit delivered to cool things off. She was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay there again.

Historic property with Modern comforts

This exquisite property was the perfect gathering space for our family as we attended a wedding. The rooms were plush and comfortable- amazing mattresses!! The small galley kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, with a tray of freshly baked breakfast bread from our hosts. Just a short walk from downtown Lewisburg and all that it has to offer. Ample parking. Absolutely a 5 star experience. Thanks to Rachel for the thorough communication.

Wedding Weekend

Amazing! This is our 2nd time at this home. The first was for a family reunion and this past stay was for a family wedding. We could walk to all our events. The house is charming. Wonderful bedding and towels. Phone chargers by all the beds and well as chocolates. You don't get that at the Greenbrier. Highly recommend this home and we look forward to returning.

Girls trip

We met for a quick weekend trip. The home is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The owner was so thoughtful. They had everything set up to make our stay enjoyable. From the charging stations, to the fresh banana bread awaiting us, it was just perfect.

This is a 10 out of 5 star VRBO. It is charming and comfortable, beautifully restored, perfectly located, and smelled of fresh banana bread on entry. Truly lovely home and delightful host. A definite repeat.

Historical Getaway

If you are wanting to experience historic Lewisburg, WV in a beautifully restored home then the Lafayette House should be on your list. The owners hospitality made our stay extremely enjoyable.

The Perfect House for a Girls Weekend!

This house was so perfect for a long weekend getaway for me and my 2 best friends from high school and college. First, it is absolutely stunning. Decorated perfectly. Immaculate. Everything we were looking for...places to relax, talk, laugh, share stories, and just enjoy each other's company. We could do this on the charming front porch, the table nook at the side of the house, or in the comfortable and welcoming family room. The decor was stunning, yet not uncomfortable or stuffy. You can tell by the pictures how much attention was paid to detail. And the location couldn't have been better. A couple of blocks to the main street in historic downtown Lewisburg. A couple of houses down from a very cute restaurant. I really can't say enough positive things about this house. If you do stay, be sure and read about this house's history!

Great property and location!

This property is even better in person than it shows on the site. Beautiful character home with well done updates and comfortable furnishings. Rachel provided everything we needed and even fresh pumpkin bread. Location is only steps away from many shops and restaurants downtown. You won't be disappointed booking this property.

Perfect place for an Appalachian Angle on Life

Cute house, great area, when you wake up the first morning you’ll feel like you just woke up in your own home and hometown. Makes you want to return to WV!

Great place to stay

House was perfect, can’t beat the location, close to everything. Lots of room for a big family. The house was stocked with anything you could forget while traveling(toothbrushes, contact cases, toiletries). Also coffee and hot chocolate for the Keurig. Would definitely stay here again!

The home is historic but with all modern amenities. Spacious but also cozy and welcoming. Minor items: (1) We wanted to watch the news on TV but couldn't figure out the two remotes. (2) The first few steps to the upstairs bedrooms could probably use a bannister.

Small Town Historical Gem

Property was extraordinary: classical, country, historical, clean, cozy….nothing short of exceptional. Town is charming with some excellent restaurants and all walking distance. Friendly townsfolk too. Host was on top of all details and made our stay worry- free. Would do it all again!

Amazing stay!

Absolutely loved our stay here. The home was in pristine condition and decorated beautifully! So much charm and character! The owners literally thought of everything from the fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms to the comfy beds & linens. The front porch was perfect for morning coffee. The location is a very short walk to town. This was a 10+ and we would not hesitate to stay here again.
