Location perfect, house was beautiful. Only complaint is we struggled a lot with the elevator that we needed for our grandmother to get up and down in the house, even with following the directions.

Svar fra VrboOwner den 26. feb. 2026
Thank you for staying with Carolina Getaway! We’re so glad you enjoyed the location and found the home beautiful. We’re sorry to hear the elevator was challenging to operate, especially given your grandmother’s needs, and we truly wish we had been notified during your stay so we could have provided immediate guidance or assistance. We will review the instructions and system to ensure they are as clear and user-friendly as possible for future guests. We hope to host you again in the future!

Amazing stay!
Our family had the best time at this location - the host was quick/responsive, and the house was spotless. Extremely comfortable beds, and great walking location to the usual spots.

Great location and nice place. Management company was responsive. The 2nd floor AC didn’t work most of the time we were there. Someone was sent quickly to fix but still didn’t work. Found out later that there was a switch that should have been on that we were unaware of. We were informed when we arrived that the washing machine didn’t work and they were sending someone out. Overall, nice place and good experience. I thought the price was a little high to have the issues we had.

Thank you for staying with Carolina Getaway! We are glad to hear you enjoyed the great location and that our team was responsive throughout your stay. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the unexpected A/C issue and the washing machine repair. While we were happy to send someone out promptly, we understand how frustrating it was that the A/C continued to be an issue until the switch was identified. We truly appreciate your patience and your feedback, as it helps us improve the guest experience. We hope you will consider staying with us again so we can provide the seamless vacation you deserve.

This is not the property to choose for an older group-even with the elevator. Property is very clean. We didn’t have any problems with the elevator, although you’re always worried you’re going to get caught in there! The beds are too high. No comfort height toilets. This would be a great property for younger families. We enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for staying with Carolina Getaway! We’re glad to hear you found the home very clean and overall enjoyed your stay. We understand that features like bed height and standard-height toilets may not be ideal for every guest, and we’ll take that into consideration as we continue making improvements. While the elevator is regularly maintained, we appreciate you sharing your perspective, and we’re happy it functioned properly during your visit. We’d love the opportunity to host you again in the future.

Wrightsville beach
We enjoyed our long weekend at Wrightsville Beach. The home was beautiful, close to a great beach access, and on a quiet street. It was our first stay at Wrightsville Beach and we hope to return.

Great stay!
Our friends and I stayed at this house for a wedding. We had so much fun, we were only five minutes away from the wedding venue, and we were able to walk to a couple bars from the house! We will definitely stay here again next time we plan a trip to Wrightsville.
