Bare minimal in kitchen. Internet can’t be expensive and really needs it even if you have to pay small amount more. Television is way to small and bigger one is cheap at Walmart. Not a Bad experience overall. House could use some upgrades.

The farm fresh eggs were amazing. The place was clean, neighbor dog was friendly, and it fit everyone. The only issue the boys had were they couldn’t get the heat working and no WiFi, but they enjoyed the place.

This property charges an extra fee for pets, house smells bad, no wifi or cell phone reception and is right along the highway next to run down out buildings, not the river. If you give feedback expect to be met with defensive comments about where you are from. I am not from the "big city" by the way. My farm smells better than that decaying house.

Rustic cabin

We visited the area to go to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. The cabin was very close and convenient. The host was responsive to questions and allowed us to bring a dog larger than they listed so happy with that. It doesnt yave a lot of amenities but met our jneeds

We had no pets. We were there to go hiking. We were very close to running out of toilet paper. Greatly appreciated the dozen eggs!We boiled them as the skillet looked pretty rough.

Clean and comfortable

Home was plenty of room for two adults and two teens. Beds clean and comfortable. Thanks for the fresh eggs! We were hoping there would be some the second day as well. The only thing we lacked was laundry detergent. Beautiful area.

Perfect location for HCR

Great location for us to get in a couple days of climbing. Comfortable stay at a great price. Communication was the best I've ever had with a VRBO. There was a county-wide water issue while we were there... entirely out of the hands of our host... but he kept us up to date and even brought us a case of water due to a boil order. The folks we were traveling with were in a different VRBO and heard nothing from their host. We had to keep them up to date.

Cozy Cabin

Comfortable cabin and had all we needed. Close to our rock climbing destination and close to swimming. AC units worked very well. Beds and furniture were comfy. Nice to have a washer and dryer. We did have raccoons or a neighbor dog knock over and rummage through the trash can outside one night. All part of the adventure:) We recommend and would book again!

cool place just a few things would make it better

Beautiful location easy access well maintained yard area and parking place. The only problem was it was cold Friday night and I could not figure out how to turn on the heat. So I wore sweats and put extra blankets on the bed and did okay. The next morning I saw where the heater is. Eggs were excellent no salt though or spices. We brought butter and muffins.

Great place to stay for HCR.

The little house was perfect for the three of us. Clean, well equipped, and super close to climb at HCR. The only small recommendation I’d make is if the owners would get WiFi in there. It’s not a deal killer but in this day and time it’s available everywhere and would have made the experience perfect. To be sure, we all knew going in to the stay that WiFi was NOT available, that was clear, and we booked anyway. Small thing that could be easily fixed. Otherwise, perfect location for us to base our weekend trip to HCR out of. We’ll likely be back.

The home had insects throughout, a faulty gas heater, no wifi, no cell service, and not pet friendly

When we arrived, the home was very cold and did not have central heating. There was a gas fireplace which we were able to light. However, the fire repeatedly went out, which allowed gas fumes to fill the home. We ultimately turned it off to avoid potential fire or carbon monoxide issues. This in turn led to a very cold night. There was a small electric heater that was insufficient to heat both bedrooms. Additionally, there were insects crawling out of various light fixtures throughout the cabin. On occasion, they would fall off the ceiling, including on us while in bed. There were also wasps in the kitchen area. There was no wifi in this home, and we did not get any cell service at the location. This meant that we had to drive into the nearest town to contact the property owner or make plans for our trip. Finally, the home is advertised as pet friendly. However, the home itself is next to a curve in a busy highway, there is no fenced yard, and neighbor dogs and chickens came up to the cabin while we were trying to walk our dogs. The fact that they allow pets does not mean that it is pet friendly. We were booked for 3 nights, but we left after one night because of all of the issues above, primarily the safety issue concerning the gas. The property owner has not responded to us or to VRBO since notifying him that we were leaving after one night and wanted a refund for the second two nights. VRBO has been less than helpful on this issue as well, and we are likely going to file a fraud claim with our credit card to seek a refund of the second two nights. We would definitely recommend against staying at this cabin.

Gas fireplace works as it should you were afraid of it since you didn’t read on VRBO that cottage had gas fireplace for heat we checked cottage a little while before you got there and it was 73 degrees .there were no bugs falling out of light fixtures this time of year they could have been a wasp in there that part of being in the country.we never said we had WiFi if you had read about cottage on VRBO it says no WiFi.pet friendly means pet are allowed in cottage outside is up to you to take care of them and if you would have read that on VRBO you would have seen were pet are allowed for a fee of $15.00 a night per pet and you choose to lied about pets so you did not have to paid for them. And we did come down to cottage about 9:30 that night to check on you and you said everything was ok .we been renting for about 5 years and you are the first to complain about everything.when you come to the country they are going to be neighbors dog running lose they are going to be tick wasps bugs snakes.you got here and it was cold wet and nasty and you didn’t want to stay so you complain about everything hoping to get a refund.country like is not for you go back to the city and stay there.

Location, location, location. That's really what you're paying for here, although you can tell they've taken time to dress the place up too. The bear decor is cute and there are enough dishes to make a few meals, but no dishwasher. We were there on a hot summer weekend and while there's no central air, the window and standalone units were enough to keep it chilly. There is a door in one of the bedrooms that opens to the outside and doesn't have a deadbolt, so if that troubles you, you'll want to bring an extra locking device. They were also the only cabin we saw in the area that specifically allows cats (which we brought), so if you have a travel kitty, this is the spot for you! There are dogs around though, so just keep an eye out - it wasn't a problem for us. But if you're looking to explore the Buffalo, you couldn't ask for much better of a location. Overall this was a nice stay, would stay again.

Exactly as described... except Maps couldn't locate the VRBO address. Of course, we didn't realize Maps was going to glitch out when we got close (because no phone signal) but then couldn't get enough signal to locate the address the Host sent us (they were 2 different addresses). Blaming that on VRBO - Thank heavens the Host knew to send us the correct address or we would still be driving around looking for it.

Biggest hiccup was not having service. Take pictures of the check-in and directions. Follow the instructions to get to the cabin. The “directions” don’t work!

Guys weekend

Only issue we had, the kitchen deer light switch has a sharp edge and 2 of us cut finger on it. Great water pressure in the shower, farm fresh eggs were awaiting our arrival. 2 bedroom property instead of 3 as listed. Great time for 3 guys in their 50s.
