Green Lake runs the length of Loon's main living spaces. Wide windows bring the water into the kitchen, dining room and lake-facing bedrooms, while the private beach and dock are just beyond the lawn. The result is a house where the lake remains part of the day, even when everyone has come inside.
The four-bedroom main house and separate walk-out apartment sleep 11 in beds and up to 15 with sleeper sofas. King bedrooms on two floors make the layout comfortable for groups spanning several generations. The ground-floor king suite has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and bathtub, and every bedroom looks out at the lake, as does the apartment. The apartment adds its own bathroom, kitchenette and entrance for guests who appreciate more privacy.
Outside, guests have exclusive use of the beach and dock, plus a deck, patio, grill, fire pit and outdoor dining. Watercraft are shared across the three homes. Guests are welcome to bring a boat, with mooring assigned in advance and rental companies nearby.
There are no televisions, but fast fiber Wi-Fi works throughout the home. The house is heated and winterized, so it works well past the summer weeks. Acadia and Bar Harbor are approximately 45 minutes away, close enough for a day trip without making the lake feel secondary.
