Eight minutes to Sunday River! Two bdrm apartment. Ski, hike, bike & relax.

Welcome to Casita, your Sunday River Retreat, located on scenic Sunday River. You will be just eight minutes away from the Sunday River ski resort and golf course. You will be just minutes away from areas you can hike, bike, snowshoe, cross country ski, fish and much more. Or just relax in our newly constructed and finely furnished apartment.

Casita offers two spacious bedrooms, one bath accommodations with a full size and well equipped kitchen and wet bar with open access to a very comfortable dining and living room area. There is covered parking adjacent to the main entrance, no need to slog through parking lot slush or have to clear your car of snow and ice the next morning. You will enter via a large mud room where you hang up your parkas and leave you outdoor boots on the convenient boot dryers before slipping into your house slippers and proceeding upstairs. The master bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed while the “kids” room also has a queen plus a single; perfect for a family of five or two couples. The bathroom is full sized and also has a laundry center. There is high-speed Wi-Fi which will easily handle the gamer, video addict or remote office connection.

Amazing place

We loved staying at the Casita - everything was so well organized and we were particularly thrilled that the kitchen had absolutely everything in it that we could want for cooking. Owners were easily available for questions. Great place!

Great spot for Sunday River skiing

Great apartment, updated, kitchen very well equipped. Ample seating in living room. Perfect spot for two couples skiing at Sunday River for the weekend. And covered parking area helped with the snow!

Perfect location for mountain proximity

The home was wonderful. Great location and only minutes to the mountain. Comfortable accommodations with a full kitchen and great entertainment. We loved the boot warmers in the entry way as well. Looking forward to our return.

Great stay in Newy at the Casita

This property is very well appointed with a great layout. The mudroom is fantastic with lots of storage and boot and glove heaters as well. We had a wonderful 4 week stay and didn’t lack for anything. Really appreciated the well stocked kitchen with lots of plates, utensils, etc. So quick to Sunday River and great snowshoeing across the street. Can’t say enough about how great this place is.

Feb break school vacation

Communication with Ted was excellent. My wife and I were both extremely impressed with how clean this property is. The kitchen is beautiful and the bedrooms are comfortable. Nice to have laundry as well. Highly recommend renting this place.

Early March Ski Trip

Wonderful 2-bdrm condo that is so convenient to the slopes.Communication with the owner was incredible, he proactively reached out to tell us that due to high winds the lifts were closed so we could modify our plans a bit.Fresh local coffee was a really nice touch and much appreciated.Thanks for a great long weekend, hope to do it agin in 2026!

Everything was wonderful. From arriving and parking in the carport, the boot dryers in the mudroom for our wet ski gear, a pleasant warm comfy living area. All wonderful. We have been taking family trips to Sunday River for about eight years now. We normally try a new house for each trip. This is the first time we have gone back to a house a second time. I love the way this house is set up. It is super clean and the living area is perfect size for myself. My wife and my two boys. Sleeping arrangements are great as well with a separate bedroom for the kids with a queen and full-size bed. Bambi and Ted are great hosts and communication is top-notch. Great location and very private.

Great location - great place!

This was the perfect spot for our ski trip at Sunday River! It comes equipped with an awesome mudroom complete with several dryers for ski boots and gloves -- what a perfect touch! The apartment has games, puzzles, coffee, and more. Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful place!

Comfortable and clean

We had a great stay! We went to ski at Sunday River, about 8 minute drive. The unit is comfortable and very clean! Enough seating for 5-6 in the living room/kitchen. The kitchen is pretty well stocked, plenty of pots/pans, baking racks, plates, and a keurig coffee maker. I appreciated that the owner had some games/puzzles to do bc we got rained out one day. The mud room is especially nice. Plenty of hooks for jackets, shelf for shoes, and boot trays for ski stuff.

Outstanding

The property was immaculately clean and extremely well appointed. The mudroom entrance is spacious with multiple boot/glove dryers, boot mats and baskets for winter gear. Everything looks freshly painted and the stair carpeting looks, feels and smells brand new fresh! The kitchen is state of the art and well equipped with all of the essentials. The separate drink fridge is pre-stocked with a sampling of Maine-made soda/beer/wine as a gift from the hosts. The living area and bedrooms were comfortable and warm with thoughtful rug placement and new appearing furnishings. I would have already recommended it to a friend.

Beautiful spot close to the mountain

Beautiful house less than 10 minutes from Sunday River main lodge. The pictures dont do this place its full justice. It is very clean and has plenty of space. We had a group of 4 and it fits two couples perfectly. The kitchen is well stocked and all the essentials are provided. The owners left us some local beer and wine which was a nice touch. Very much recommend this spot.

Place was great for our family of 5. Less than 10 minutes to Sunday River main base. Well stocked kitchen with a nice little welcome gift, keurig coffee maker(which was key) and all the essentials. Would stay here again anytime to ski Sunday River. Pictures don’t do it justice. Thanks for a great stay!

Your hosts, Bambi and Ted, live just one hundred yards away. We take personal pride in offering a clean, quiet and well equipped apartment. We are close by but by no means under foot.

Ted moved to Sunday River in 2005 and has been a Newry (the local town) resident ever since. He has been associated with the Sunday River Ski Resort since 2007 including thirteen years as a ski and snowboard instructor. Need some local knowledge on where to ski at Sunday River? Ask Ted.

Bambi started visiting Sunday River and more importantly, Ted, in 2008. A long time resident of Springvale, Maine, she moved to Newry permanently in 2015. Happily retired from a 40+ year nursing career she now an amateur potter.
