Nestled along Florida’s Nature Coast, Island Place Condominiums offer a serene island escape surrounded by the natural beauty of Cedar Key. Located directly on the Gulf within a true nature preserve, the property is framed by swaying palms, warm Gulf breezes, and tranquil coastal scenery—an ideal setting to relax, reconnect, and unwind.

Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or a fun coastal vacation, Island Place provides an exceptional blend of comfort, charm, and location. The complex is thoughtfully designed to reflect the historic character of Cedar Key while offering modern conveniences. Guests are perfectly situated next to the city marina and just steps from local restaurants, shops, art galleries, and the grocery store—no car required.

Pet Friendly:
Pets are welcome with a $50 fee per pet, per visit (maximum one pet). Pets must be approved, are not permitted on beds or furniture, may not be left unattended if barking, and must be cleaned up after outdoors. Unauthorized pets will result in a $300 charge.

Additional Information:
• Grills are park-style and located at the end of the complex. Please bring your own utensils, charcoal, grill brush, and lighter fluid.
• No boat parking is available onsite. Public boat parking is located one block east or two blocks north, behind the museum.

Perfect spot!

Beautiful Views!

We were originally booked for Island Place but ended up at Nature's Landing - beautiful unit and we loved the scenery. VERY comfortable and so close to everything! We loved Cedar Key, the atmosphere and the people! Thanks for finding us a plave!

Cedar Key weekend

We had a blast. Met up with friends on the island and rented golf carts and a pontoon boat. Had a great time exploring the nearby beaches.

Beautiful views

This condo sits right on the water right next to the bridge to restaurants and shopping. It’s an old quiet fishing town which was perfect for us, but also had some night life to enjoy as well.

Awesome location

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Property managers went above and beyond to accommodate us and were super responsive. Located in the heart of all the restaurants and shops. No need to drive anywhere. Will definitely be back.

Fabulous getaway!

This place is perfect! Right on the water and in town, walkable to everything. We’ve been to Cedar Key many times, and this is by far our favorite place we’ve stayed. Very comfy! Highly recommend!

Cedar key stay

We were pleasantly surprised how nice the unit was. It is located in a very convenient place. Our standard poodle loved it too, he got to stay nice and cool. When the time comes we would love to stay there again.

We had a great time. The staff works extremely hard to maintain the highest quality and clean property. We loved our place and stayed 3 weeks. We definitely plan to return next year.

Short stay but a lovely place to visit

We were in Cedar Key over a weekend and got to see the island and enjoy some local food. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate so we left a day early. Hope to be back again. Island Place is nicely situated on the gulf, close to everything. Thanks for everything!

The condo was bright and clean, nice decor and wonderful view from the balcony. Unfortunately we had a couple of house guests - we saw some German roaches in the bath room at night and in the morning in the kitchen sink. It was reported to property management.

Island palace Cedar Key

Overall great place walkable to everything… check in said 3pm room not ready until 3:30 after going to office to inquire. Also pier is under construction and room is literally right next to the pier thank goodness we were checking out Monday versus whole week with early am noise that started up at 7 am Monday morning :-( Extremely pet friendly town quaint and laid back…..enjoyed our stress free getaway to a town we never visited we will return

Great View

The condo is kind of small, but you have everything you need. Our particular unit definitely needed some better lighting throughout. The owner or condo caretaker need to go through the place themselves every now and then to check all the working parts. There were some lights that did not work and the shower head needs to be replaced. As well, there were only sheer window coverings on the sliding door going out to the deck. Anyone walking up on the sidewalk could look down into the living room area at night. The town of Cedar Key was an awesome place to visit. Would highly recommend during warmer weather.

Beautiful condo in a terrific town

The realtor was quick to get back to me & send someone to help (couldn’t get living room tv to turn on & small leak in bedroom & both fixed quickly. New bridge to fishing pier almost finished & workers took into account residents nearby. Beautiful sunsets from fishing pier! Great restaurants & shops.

Enjoyed our time on the island.

This condo is conveniently located to everything. The only thing negative we encountered is that they are building a new bridge right next to the condo so it was noisy during work hours. Their isn’t much of a beach by the condo. Overall, the unit was clean, had good amenities, and was comfortable except the “bed” in the hallway wasn’t comfortable for a 6’ tall teenager. It’s a great place for a couple to stay.

Funky Fun in #112

This property at Island Place is almost perfectly located and very close to the sand. Beautiful views and the sound of rolling waves. The bridge over to Dock Street, immediately to the left of the unit, is under renovation and we were warned about the noise possibility. Honestly, the worst part of the job is over and the noise during the weekdays was minimal. Workers were busy laying concrete and they did not spoil our visit at all. Inside the unit we had about the best furniture one could expect in a pet-friendly unit. The kitchen was fully equipped ( good sharp knives!) for the small space and towels,blankets were ample and clean. The bedroom had a good firm king bed. We wish the AC unit were more consistent and less erratic but It had a mind of its own and we learned how to handle it. Wish there had been more reading light in the living room but this is a problem that seems consistent with every vacation place we rent. It would have been an ideal unit if there had been one or two floor lamps for a rainy day. Can't say enough good things about the management - the place is spotless, pool area very nice, and the staff available in short order.

Fabulous city . Bridge construction off deck

Property was fine EXCEPT 50 feet off the unit’s only deck, overlooking the water a bridge is being built. From 7:00am until 4:00 pm the sounds, smells and dust is present. Forget sitting on the deck and listening to the water. The smells, noise and dust prohibit this. Again the bridge’s proximity is about 50 feet from the units only deck. I believe that this should have been disclosed on the VRBO website or one of the numerous emails we received from the property managers. We could then have made a decision. Cedar Key is fabulous. We will return but not to this unit during construction. Otherwise it’s in a convenient location and is acceptable.

Lighthouse Visit

We went to Cedar Key to visit the lighthouse on Seahorse Key. The condo was within walking distance of the dock and restaurants. It had a great view and was very clean. Perfect for a couple on a weekend getaway.
