Beautiful property. Amazing views of the sunsets. Hosts were amazing in their communication! The house is neatly organized and a very efficient use of the space. House is decorated very nice and has lots of extras like throw blankets and veach towels. We would definitely stay there again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Ocean Waves and would happily recommend it to anyone planning a visit to N. Captiva. The unit was spacious, well- maintained, and exceptionally clean. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals; we especially appreciated the outdoor grill. One feature we really liked was the two master bedrooms - it was a great setup that ensured everyone had a comfortable space. The views from each patio were beautiful and made a perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or relax at the end of the day. The beach was just a short walk away and felt wonderfully private. We also appreciated having access to beach chairs and snorkeling gear. Unfortunately the umbrellas on-site were not usable, so would recommend bringing any beach must haves. Overall, communication was outstanding. The team was always easy to reach by phone or text and provided helpful guidance on everything from the ferry process and grocery planning to club registration. Their responsiveness and support made our trip even more enjoyable.

Just an FYI - We stock two beach umbrellas at Ocean Waves and keep these on hand - stocked on island - for same day delivery. Karin and future Guests - no need to bring them - just a quick text to notify us and we would drop you replacement(s). Sorry for the inconvenience. Though inventoried prior to most check ins - as you can imagine, beach umbrellas are a constant guest replacement item following any windy weather, wear and tear, corrosion from salt air, not returned to the proper side of the duplex, or was left on the beach from the prior check out.

Best location in North Captiva

Our third time in North Captiva and first time staying on the beach. The location was perfect & the condo must have been newly renovated, it had everything we needed for our family of four. Nice open floor plan, Weber gas grill, induction range, beach chairs/ equipment, and the icing on the cake, an ice machine! It doesn’t have a pool but the trade off is it comes with affiliation to the Island Club, which has 2 swimming pools. We would definitely stay here again.

Great little spot!

We loved North Captiva and hope to return again in the future! This house was simple, but had everything we needed especially considering we spent very little time indoors! I suggested they add a couple of beach chairs and possibly some sort of shade cover for future renters so they don’t have to travel with it, but aside from that everything was great. Tortuga Properties did a great job with everything, great communication and made the check in, stay and check out process very seamless! We will be back!

Great girls teip

Wow...just amazing! First and foremost, the view.... Close enough so that you could hear the sound of the waves. Hands down this is the most well stocked VRBO unit I have ever stayed in... High quality creature comforts left no need unanticipated. Quality bedding. Very clean unit. Many extras including ample supply of beach equipment. Quiet neighborhood..

Amazing House and Location

1) Directly on the beach. Walk the beach to the left or right from the condo, amazing beaches, not crowded at all. Sometimes we were the only ones on the beach. Great sunset views. 2) Kitchen furnishings all top notch- granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, deep stainless steel sinks, lots of pantry storage. Outfitted with cookware/dishes/etc far better than expected. Even the coffee machine made espresso and had a milk frother for lattes. Outdoor propane grill was large and nice. Kitchen has an expensive ice maker, with small cubes, using filtered water- nice touch. Refrigerator was large and had plenty of room. 3) Reverse-osmosis whole house water system. This may be be best feature of all. Even the deck water hose was RO, and made it very nice to wash off from the beach. Softened water feels great in the shower, and taste great too. 4) Pictures in the listing made the house appear small, particularly the screened in porch and living room. However, the areas were not small and had plenty of room, for our party of 4 adults. 5) Lots of beach equipment and chairs. 6) I worked during the trip and hosted numerous zoom calls, with no issues. Bandwidth was 25Mbps DS and 10-15Mbps US. 7) The property manager Amy was great! She was patient and answered all questions. 8) Tortuga (Duncan) was great! Ordered groceries online and they were delivered the same day. They even bought a computer mouse for me at Wal-mart, after I left mine at home.

Price was higher over spring break. All dishes were clean except a few of the silverware pieces in the drawer on arrival.All 3 umbrellas broken, but we were still able to use 2 of them. The outdoor screen patio was wonderful. Beach view wonderful. Great ice machine. Bring your own foil, TP, paper towels. We had to ask for more TP which they brought, but how about providing an extra few rolls. Only one paper towel roll? Ran out the last day. We bought our on foil at local store on island.

What a view!

Upon arriving, our food was already put away. The home was clean and beautiful! The kitchen is well-equipped and having our own washer/dryer was very helpful. There were extra linens, towels, beach equipment, and golf cart included. Even the grill worked great! Most importantly, the view is spectacular. There are 2 decks to enjoy and it’s a moderate walk out to the beach for daytime shell collecting and evening sunsets. We thoroughly enjoyed the laid-back vibe of the island and met several kind and friendly people.

Best place on the island

Just left NC and it was an awesome experience. The house is in the perfect place on the island. Sunsets are amazing, and the walk to the beach is quick and easy. We only had a few minor issues while we were there, and Amy was quick to get them taken care of!

Love this place!

We have been coming for years and stayed at many different homes. This one was fabulous. We love it and would love to stay again. Everyone involved from the booking to check out was great.

beach paradise

Lovely home - right on the beach. We lived on the screened in porch! The kitchen was nicely equipped and with the convenience of fresh seafood we prepared some note worthy meals. The serenity of the island cannot be beat and all the wonderful nature that surrounds you on this beautiful island. We loved that it was pet friendly and our golden retriever Mozart accompanied us and became a local celebrity. We'll be back!

Great house, location and relator. Loved the island

Amy was fantastic. The grocery and liquor delivery billing was in accurate and i am working on getting a breakdown or receipt. No response from Lori from tortuga properties and dumpling.

Peaceful getaway

This was an absolutely wonderful vacation. From the island to the property. Tortuga Properties did such an excellent job. We arrived and were greeted at the ferry boat our luggage was delivered to the house, and we were given a tour of the island and house. Our groceries were ordered ahead of time and were very nicely stocked. The house had all the amenities paper towels, soap, ext. I was also very surprised to see a nice selection of beach toys, chairs, and umbrellas as well. We were already planning our next trip before we left.

Terrific Time

Seaside Serenade location can’t be beat!! Short distance to beautiful white sand beach. We took advantage of all three patios. Coffee on the deck with sunshine in morning, cocktails & dinner in enclosed patio and amazing sunsets on balcony deck. Close to everything on North Captiva. House is comfortable & kitchen has everything for cooking. One of our guests is a chef & he had no complaints using kitchen & cooking for us. Amy & Ken are quick to respond to any need that we may have occurred. Excellent property managers. Only downfall which would not affect future guest was construction next door. Unexpected power outages & no hot water last two days of stay. Amy was not only professional to work with but went above aboard working with us on every detail. Perfect house for a great way to kick off our first month of retirement. Will definitely be returning

Amazing! No words to describe

I went with my family for my husband birthday, we didn’t know about this isolate island. We were looking for a relax plan and this just surpassed all our expectations. The house was amazing, with incredible location on the beach, we spent all days chasing sunsets in this paradise, the staff always responsive, the golf carts vibes, the people very friendly, the food at the restaurants amazing. I can’t describe it with some words. I only can say amazing amazing amazing. Just loved it We Will come back 100% Thank you all!
