You’ll be surrounded by stunning scenery & endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. Our spacious one-bedroom rental features a king bed & a full-sized pullout, making it the perfect size for a romantic getaway or a small family vacation. The full kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook up delicious meals, & the covered porch provides the perfect spot for enjoying breakfast with a view. Step outside & follow the path to the lake, where you’ll have access to your own private dock for boating & swimming. In the evenings, gather around the fire pit for s’mores and stargazing while watching the twinkling glow of the fireflies. Located 4 miles from I-57 & I-24. Comfortable for up to 4 people.

Super clean and comfortable setting. About 30 minutes away from Garden of Gods and Giant City State Parks. Owners gave goods recommendations for local spots. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was so spacious, clean, adorably decorated, had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect for day trips to Garden of the Gods, Paducah and excellent antiquing. We enjoyed walks around the property in the evening and dinner at several locations recommended by Denise. We hope to stay again.

Just what I needed

Beautiful. Peaceful. Clean. Perfect.The time I spent on the dock was a dream.It happens to be on a lone curve across from a little island that an amazing array of birds goes to and fro all day. Every type of winged creature seemed to soar above and around me. Great egrets and herons swooped down swift and steady just above the water right past me. I tell you it was just glorious.The song of nature all around in every bird call , splash of water, wind in the trees .. I spent hours and hours at the lake .. and my nights in a heavenly nest of a bed! I felt safe and cozy and nothing but great vibes from my texts with the owners and one brief encounter on the grounds. Good people.I will absolutely be back.

Just what we needed

Very nice cabin. Close to all the hiking we had planned. The walk to the lake was much harder than it seems in pictures and very steep. Everything else was very comfortable and we had the solitude we were seeking. Would stay here again.

Quiet and Beautiful

We had such a wonderful stay at this property! Everything was very clean and comfortable. The owners were very helpful with local information of hiking locations and great places to eat. We visited many different areas of the Shawnee National Forest all within an hour drive or less. We will definitely be back again soon!

Great stay!

Very comfortable and clean space, hospitable hosts (who greeted us even though we had a late arrival), timely responses to questions, and we had everything we needed (and then some). It was a great place to relax and rejuvenate!

Perfect weekend

The cabin was as described and more! So clean and comfortable for my family of 4. We enjoyed swimming and fishing in the lake. Do recommend a good shoe for the walk to the lake as it is a bit steep. The owners were very helpful and so nice. We highly recommend this cabin and would definitely come back. Quiet and relaxing!

Great place to stay!

Everything about this stay was wonderful. Check-in, communication with the hosts, the cleanliness of the place, everything. There is quick access to the lake, to a state park, and to highways, and the place is surrounded by acres of woods and fields.

Private and cozy

We loved this little cottage which provided us with a much needed get away. Very, very clean and tidy, it contained just what was needed. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit while watching the wildlife and sunrises/sets. I would definitely return as the hosts were so kind yet not intrusive. I will note the cottage is located right by the main house. This was not an issue for us and we did not see anyone, but others may want something more secluded.

Cozy cabin

Wonderful property with all the needed essentials and more! The patio area overlooks a beautiful field and there was also a nice fire pit area. The bed was so, so comfortable! There was even a thicker memory foam pad for the sofa sleeper. Host was very responsive too! Would stay here again to hike in the area!

Romantic Getaway

My husband and I just wanted a short weekend getaway. This location delivered everything we were looking for…quiet, secluded, clean, good hiking available, romantic! Would definitely recommend and hope to stay there again in the future.

Spacious cabin

If you are looking for some quiet and seclusion this may be for you. Pasture behind the cabin with woods all around made for a serene location to unwind. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was just as advertised. Roomy and nicely appointed. Ours hosts were very cordial and responsive to our needs. Enjoy!

Pleasant and relaxing

Beautiful area and peaceful stay. Very close to Ferne Clyffe State Park. The home was as presented with plenty of amenities and plenty of room. Check in and out was simple and well communicated. We all enjoyed our stay.

Immaculate casita

The cabin was so clean you could eat off the floor! The owners provided quick and thorough information when needed. It has drivable access to Giant City State Park, Crab Orchard Lake and has its own private dock on Lake Egypt. I really enjoyed my 4 day stay.
