Lakefront property with beautiful view of Lake Zumbro 20 mins from Rochester

Lake Zumbro... a little piece of heaven not far from Rochester where you can relax and create memories that last a lifetime!

Our vacation rental on Lake Zumbro will offer you a spectacular view of the lake in any season. Fenced in yard, landscaped steps, and beautiful gardens will lead you to our 2 bedroom cottage with a covered porch, outside dining area, and outside bar area.

The cottage is quaint, cozy, and has many comforts from home complimented with a beautiful lake view and lake access. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a closet and the second bedroom has 2 queen beds and a shelved closet. The living room and kitchen are open in design.

Out the front door, with a direct view of the lake, stairs lead down to the water where there is a large floating dock to accommodate relaxation in the sun or entertainment on the water. Ladder entry into and out of the water. Bring your own boat and tie up! Paddle boards and swim mat are there for your use. Life jackets not provided.

The game room is a large room in the garage with a pullout couch, futon, TV and large table perfect for family game night!


The Cottage is only 2 minute walk from Uncle John's Bar & Restaurant (open Thursday-Sunday) and a 5 minute walk from the King's Marina where you can rent pontoons during the summer time.

Looking for a fun new hobby to learn?? Want to enhance or your waterski or wakeboard skills?? Check out bigwatersports.com to set up lessons! This company is owned and ran by Carter, he offers many different forms of lessons at daily and weekly rates for all ages! You can inquire and book through his website. He will pick you up and ski right from the cottage dock!

Lovely weekend getaway

This is a perfect place on the lake, very quiet and relaxing. Everything was just as listed and we very much enjoyed our stay.

This was a lovely property well taken care of asked with a beautiful view and easy lake access. There was clearly a lot of thought from the owners, from extra bug spray to a well stocked game room. We only had six guests but could have accommodated up to eight utilizing couches if needed.

Lake Zumbro

Had a wonderful time. The cottage was clean and the beds were comfy. We enjoyed swimming off the dock and just being together as a family.

girls getaway

we all had a really great time , everything was just as stated in the description. having an actual beach in the area would be a plus, as access to water is a bit difficult off the end of the dock . we are looking forward to planning a return trip.

Summer Getaway

Our two families enjoyed this lovely spot nestled on the shores of Lake Zumbro for a few days of post=July 4th relaxation and fun on the water. The cottage and bunk house were comfortable, well cared for, and offered plenty of options to keep the kids entertained with wakeboarding, swimming, fishing, s’mores, paddle boards, and just watching the water.flow by. Thank you Bill & Bette for sharing this special spot - we hope to be back again soon!

so fantastic!

The property owners/managers were so accommodating! Even hooked us up with a pack and play of which we forgot🙄…play was super cute with the. OST comfortable cabin beds that you just melt into. The lakefront view was amazing! We will def be back!

Relaxing place

Great view of the lake, cozy, beds are super comfy kitchen is well stocked and has what you would need to enjoy a good meal… would have been nice to have access to TV we were there to recover from medical issues and not having that was rough but they did have videos so that helped… moving the smart TV would be a nice added bonus… overall a nice relaxing place

A paddlers dream cabin

The highlight for us was the ability to kayak right up to the property from miles down stream. You have Zumbro lake to explore as well. The cabin was clean and cozy with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The owners were more than accommodating and flexible. All in all, a great place to stay for a few days. Enjoy being on the water, and enjoy hanging out on the dock or deck watching the world go by. We stayed unplugged for our entire stay, it was incredibly refreshing.

Weekend Getaway

This was a perfect location for a weekend getaway from the city. A little over an hour drive from Minneapolis. Lots of space for several people (It was just my boyfriend and I). We enjoyed the quietness of the lake. Great weather allowed us to enjoy the paddle boards provided. Uncle John's was right across the street when we got hungry for food that we didn't cook. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cabin feel. We will book again in the future.

Mother/Daughters Getaway

We really loved our stay at the cute, cozy cottage! What a beautiful spot with so many nice areas to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake views! Saw so many cute little striped gophers and lots of birds. This place was really lovely and we would definitely recommend it to others! Our only suggestion would be, maybe a bird book and binoculars for bird watching and a hair dryer. :) Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot with us! Comfy cottage!

Even though the weather was not favorable, we had a wonderful stay at the lake! We turned the chairs inside for a view through the large windows of the lake and well-kept property. We enjoyed several hours at a time sitting at the fire. The beds and pillows were so comfortable, my sister and I slept even better than at home! We were lacking nothing in the kitchen while cooking through our entire stay. We did not use the bunkhouse, but what a great space for a kid-friendly hangout.

Relaxing Babymoon

My wife and I stayed at The Cottage on Lake Zumbro for a week and loved every second of it! The Cottage was nice and cozy and allowed us lots of time to relax. It was very windy for the majority of our stay, so we didn't go on the water much, but we did sit out on the dock a bit. The cottage was stocked with so many essentials. The beds were very comfortable. We went into Rochester a few times (only about a 15 minute drive) and went up to Minneapolis/St Paul one day as well (about a 90 minute drive). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend for anyone staying in the area!

Great weekend at the lake

We had a wonderful weekend at the cottage! The weather was beautiful so we enjoyed the days on the lake with our pontoon and relaxing evenings at the cottage. The cottage was a great location and had all the amenities we needed. We loved the atmosphere outside with deck to sit out and enjoy meals and a campfire area to have a fire to sit around at night. The outdoor bar was great to have too! The cottage was very clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable. Bette was a great host! Thank you for a great weekend at the lake! :)

Right off the lake was so fun! The kids swam off the dock every day and we all took wakeboarding lessons from Carter (Big Water Sports). He worked with our kids ages 11, 9, 7, and 5 so well. They learned a lot and had a blast! I would highly recommend him! It was super convient that he could pick us up/drop us off at our dock AND that we could watch them wakeboard from our dock and see the progress they were making so quickly! The water was warm and very calm because of the surrounding hills and trees blocking any wind. The kids loved the water pad provided to play on too. The cottage was great and we were able to make all our meals there without eating out. Oh and the dock is big/wide and partly in the shade of some trees, which was perfect for us as parents who wanted to watch our kids activity without getting sunburnt. The back yard is also fenced in and shaded. Just a great expierence overall, super fun and relaxing.

We have been members of this lake community for over 20 years now and have loved to call this place our home away from home. We have enjoyed our children growing up coming to this lake every summer and have countless memories here spent on the water, pontooning, waterskiing, and enjoying this property.
